Some major changes from previous years, so make sure to read everything. Read Me!: The goal of this room is to save the world from anime characters by using the Death Note. This is a game based off Death Note and other popular anime, so it will require basic anime knowledge. This room will be open from October 24th at 20:00 GMT until October 26th at 21:00 GMT. Calculate your time zones accordingly. Story: Somehow....you returned. On a breezy Autumn afternoon, while out on your daily stroll, an object falls out of the sky and drops in front of you. You pick it up and see that it is a Death Note. Suddenly, a loud commanding voice directs your attention to its source. The hooded figure tells you of the dire news. Eighteen anime characters have been summoned to your non-fictional reality against their wishes and their bodies and powers aren't fit to be in your world. Thus, they will blow up very soon and take out entire continents with them. All seems lost! Thankfully, the hooded figure explains that the only way to stop it is to use the Death Note and write their names in it. There are already clues that have been written in the Death Note for each character to give you a chance of getting it right. This will be your toughest challenge yet. To win will be very difficult, yet perhaps you may accomplish the task. If you manage to survive and also write down the name of the new hooded mastermind, this time you can also keep the death note as a trophy of your success. If you fail though, you will be written out of existence. You possess all the knowledge of what the Death Note can do and know how to use its power. However, this Death Note has been given a power boost for the sake of this game and now has the power to affect even beings that aren't human and beings even with immortality of any sort. All you need to do is write down the characters name. There is a problem though. You don't know who the specific anime characters are. There is only one way to figure out their identities. The hooded figure was kind enough to write down general hints and specific hints on the page about the characters. Write the specific character's name by each of the affiliated hints in order to kill them before they blow up and kill you and the rest of the world. Important Rules and How To Start: 1: Fill out the questionnaire with your guesses of the characters' names and afterwards make a post below to confirm that you filled out the form and submitted your answers. I will send you a PM hopefully within 24 hours on whether you won the game or not. After the room closes, I will have an extra event on Discord were I go over the answers. There might be a way to get some bonus candy as well. 2: The hints will be shuffled anonymously in each grouping and the continent which applies to each hint will only be revealed once the room closes. All three groupings contain each continent once. Just to be clear, answer all groupings in the questionnaire. 3: After you submit the form, I will edit your post with an update once I reviewed your form and finished grading it (although I won't confirm a win or a loss in the thread until the room is closed. I will send you a PM though on whether you won or lost). So keep an eye on your posts in the thread. 4: Any hint that you guessed incorrectly means that you failed to kill the character, resulting in the corresponding hints continent being destroyed when they are blown up. If that continent is where you chose to be located in the form, game over. After I PM you that you lost, you will be able to try again one more time if you wish by submitting a new form. But don't make a new post in the thread or edit your first post. Just send me a PM confirming that you resubmitted the form. 5: Three incorrectly guessed hints in the same grouping results in a game over. As does two incorrectly guessed hints for the same continent among the three groupings. Again, you can have two tries with the questionnaire, but you will need to wait until I tell you if you lost before you try again. The limit this time will be only two chances. So if you fail the first time, you will have only one more chance to win. 6: You win the game by not dying and getting to the Finale and succeeding to guess the final hint, killing the mastermind of the anime characters' "assault" and saving the world. Again, you can have two tries with the questionnaire, but you will need to wait until I tell you if you lost before you try again. 7: General Updates will be posted in this thread, so make sure to watch this thread daily. Specific player updates, like if you won or lost, will be sent via PM within hopefully 24 hours after you submit the form and edited into your post after the room closes. 8: Winning the game awards you the main candy. A bonus candy will be given to those who won the game on the first try and guessed two whole groupings correctly. A second bonus candy will be given if every guess in all the groupings are guessed correctly on the first try. So it is possible to acquire the main candy and two bonus candies. There might be an opportunity in the result event at the end to win a bonus candy (assuming you don't win two bonus candies on the first try). New: For users that can't make it to the first collab event, the discord room won't be deleted. So you will be able to scroll through and see what they did for each clue, and you are able to ask players from the collab event for help as long it's before the first attempt deadline. Be warned though that their answers might not be correct. Read 9 and the Room Schedule for more details If there are players who can't make it to the first collab event, but want the fun (or stress) of trying to figure out the clues from scratch without help in a second collab event, then please fill out HERE!!! what times would work for you. Fill in green for the hours you can be available. It's in GMT, so make sure you calculate the time zone conversion. If enough people can be available at the same time, then I will announce a second collab event then. Players who ruin the potential second collab event by knowing what the first collab did and try to "help" will be disqualified. Read 9 and the Room Schedule for more details. 9: This room is a collaborative event, meaning you can join the discord room during the collaborative events and work as a team and openly discuss the clues and speculate what you think the answers are. Everyone can give guesses openly and then you can discuss if the answer fits. Each player can only participate in one collaboration event. If you watched or participated in the first one, you can watch the second one but not participate. This way, the new group has all the fun (or stress) of figuring out the answers themselves from scratch. Players present at the first collab or solo players that got help from the first collab can't give away or hint answers to the second collab. If they do, they will be disqualified. After you receive your result PMs about your first attempt, please don't share answers with other users. Also, please don't make or use extra accounts to play multiple times. Cheating may lead to disqualification and suspicious accounts may be disqualified without warning. 10: Make sure to spell the character's full name correctly. Use the name listed on the character's MAL page bio. Remember, the Death Note only works if the name is full and correctly spelled, so try to be as thorough as possible with your answers with the correct spelling.
