| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that was something. The fights were intense but the animation sucked. As a result the enjoyment halved down just like fighters power halves down when they are injured. They made this anime a bit more realistic unlike BAKI, where even if your eye is pulled out or you are in dead bed you can make a full recovery in no time. But even if I compare them Baki anime still gives me more enjoyment than Kengan Ashura, can't really figure out the reason. Still hating what they did to Ohma here, they did him very dirty. Season 2 part 2 is already announced. |

| Really liked this season but the flashbacks having barely no animation and the overall quality of it being worse than the 1st season hurt it quite a bit. Still enjoyable overall but it doesn't deserve this treatment. 7/10. P.S: OP is an absolute banger. |

| Of course they outplayed the coup d'état. Now I would have been surprised if Ohma agreed to drop the tournament xD Next he's gonna fight but it's very worrying in his condition, how he coughed up blood is maybe a foreshadowing |

| So .... this was a bit weaker than the previous seasons. To compare it: I scored most stuff (except some single OVA episodes) from Baki with 8/10. The previous seasons here from Kengan Ashura as well. I liked some of the tournament background stories from some of the chars - the Baki tournament arc was still way better there though. Background story and the last 2 episodes here ... were a bit better. I think I noticed a lack of animation though. (This must have been less bad in the previous season. Sometimes too many scenes in the earlier episodes where it seemed like they were showing just chars + talking but not animationg. Mouth not moved or they were shown from away.) Still looking forward to the next part/half. From what I have heard this should finish the original manga (that afaik only had the tournament)? (But there being a sequel manga - that hopefully gets adapted as well. "Omega" or something.) I still liked the old chars (Yamashita, Katahara and the old Kure guy). Would have been better to see more of them - my main fun in the previous seasons was from Yamashita. (And the comedy - where he accidentally dodged something and some other guy thought he had super reflexes.) |
