| Huh... so Genya is similar to Nezuko? He got slashed by his Demon Mom but didn't turn full Demon and retained his Human mind. Sad flashback, but it's already expected since every Demon Slayer they showed before in previous seasons all had a tragic backstory of someone close to them die at the hands of Demons. Rip Genya tho... he got holes now. . And I guess the reason why the Upper is strong (even tho they look fairly weak) is cause past Demon Slayers never found the 5th guy? |

| What a despairing life story for the Shinazugawa brothers. They seem to be already happy and content when their abusive father died but most of them ended up being killed by their own mother. It almost made me cry. I would have though but I'm so sleepy already! π It's 5:33 a.m. in our time now. Lol Has anyone been amazed that Tanjirou didn't even flinch at the sight of Genya's new appearance? Our beloved protagonist never seized to impress me! |

Like, it honestly felt like it could have been written by an AI. Even more annoying is that this half-hearted sob story clearly worked, judging by most of the comments here. Ugh.Yep, I'm sorry, as emotional as they were trying to be, and I do appreciate the effort, mid battle backstories are just so cliched, and as brutal as that was, I couldn't really get invested in any of it. As I was watching, I rolled my eyes when the flashback started, saying "Here we go again". Sad backstories are not good characterization, in fact, it's honestly quite a lazy way to build character, since if a character can only be defined by tragedy, it's just not that memorable of a character. Then again, with how Demon Slayer is, I couldn't imagine anywhere else they could fit this backstory in. if Genya somehow survives through all this though, I will really not know what to say. Don't ruin this please. |

| All of the cliffhangers are pissing me off mainly because I'm watching it dubbed ugh. I didn't think Genya had such a sad backstory, but it explains why he's always so angry. Why hasn't the boob girl done anything this entire time? The mist guy should've realized he was trapped in a water bubble. What a waste. Did Genya become a demon and that's why he's able to regenerate, kinda like Nezuko? |

| Damn, the Shinazugawa brothers have been through shit. I didn't find this story that sad in the manga but here, Genya going back through his memories and pleading for forgiveness from his brother, really hit the feels. Tanjiro is on demon time fr. Bro is slashing these demons left and right without any significant recoil. The red Nichirin sword really works wonders. They found Hantengu's real body but his neck is extremely tough and he is fast as fuck. |

| Oh the real body of Tengu actually a tough mouse xd. Not expecting Genya to hold such a dark past. Now its makes sense why Sanemi made a scene with Tanjiro after their first met. Reminds you much to the sad past and the promise with Genya, huh? Anyway, looks like Genya kind of like half-demon perhaps since he got hit by her mother i kind of suggests that is the case. Otherwise its cool to get to know him better after such a loud reintroduction early on. That unbelievable cliffhanger tho. You cruel, ufotable... |

| Seeing Tanjiro repeatedly blitzing around and severing the uppermoons' limbs here and there was sick, and an insult to their prevent capabilities! Here stood one demon slayer who time and time again has been a massive thorn in the demons' plans and the one unstoppable force of vengeance coming after Muzan. I love listening to the Anger Demon talk about Tanjiro for being exceptionally dangerous and surpassing their report of him, if Tanjiro were ever even a tiny bit prideful of his abilities, this is one MASSIVE ego boost, not that he is and not that the demons aver going to praise him, least not this particular one. Akaza would though. There it is, the little shit coward of a demon, just gobble him the fuck up and the mess will be gone, easier said than done though. The backstory was adapted well for Genya, it's great to see Genya's POV, he was but a child when all his siblings died and the only one to remain, Sanemi was the one who slew their only parent, their mother. Out of the other demon slayers, Genya shares the most similar backstory to Tanjiro's. Though I'd say it's worse for Genya since it was HIS mother who killed her own children and HIS own older brother who has to put her down. If anything, it's a miracle that Sanemi is still sane, the amount of wrath he has for the demon is utterly unmatched. |

| Genya has tragic past.Imagine your fellow siblings get killed by a demon and that demon is none other than your own mom, what's worse is that they have a sh*tty dad and their mom was the only good parent who protect them and love them genuinely, her becoming a demon and going a killing rampage against her own child.....no wonder sanemi have an insane hatred toward demon. |
