| It tried too much at once and somehow ended up boring to me. I did like the realism and crazy comedy, but it mostly cancelled out the wholesome attempts. And wholesome scenes without the "aura" equals boring. Plus the only good supporting character, Kana, had too little screentime. Overall a high 5/10. I never saw it as a "male's fantasy" though. Anna might have the looks, but I thought she'd way too immature to be a "dream girlfriend". My feelings tend to be off with this though. |
| I think it's only... "Male's Fantasy"... for this season since it focused more on Ichikawa. But presumably, it's Yamada's turn on the next season. I'd say it's simply the "Male MC's chapter" of a story about youthful romance. Glad that there's a 2nd season. The "Male Fantasy" tag fits more on series such as Takagi-san, Kubo-san, Nagatoro-san, etc. where it's basically a Waifu POV with the Male MCs barely justifying the attention they get from the Female leads. |

| Not particularly, a better example of that is My Dress-Up Darling. Was this cringe? Yes, but it actually had a relatively realistic portrayal of a middle school teenage boy right after going through puberty. When looking at the overall show in hindsight, it did a good job at showing a middle school romance. |
| Not many people would say no to watching a show about a thick, tall girl flirting. Even if its about middle schoolers. Jus' sayin'. |
