The 20th and final episode of the Fumetsu no Anata e Season 2 (To Your Eternity Season 2) television anime announced a third anime season on Sunday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured). The story will continue with "The World" arc.

The anime series adapts Yoshitoki Ooima's supernatural fantasy manga, which began serializing in Weekly Shounen Magazine in November 2016. Kodansha shipped the 19th volume on February 17.

Brain's Base produced the 20-episode first anime season in Spring 2021. The second season produced by animation studio Drive premiered on October 23 last year. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons with subtitles and also streamed an English dub.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in January 2017. The 17th volume went on sale on July 26.

Great news indeed. Can't wait to see new characters, but I already anticipate that public response will likely not be positive. Number of manga readers say that this arc is boring/mid/bad. I personally don't agree though.

I also wait for the season 3. People find it boring starting from the Present Arc because it is mostly slice of life, I understand them. I don't read the manga but I can imagine why it seems boring. Slice of life is such a genre itself.

Also I am so glad that the nameless boy returned as himself, not as Fushi's vessel! It is great indeed!

It's the manga arc that fans dislike the most, so I wonder how anime onlys will react.

Great news.
I was worried about a third season not happening since season 2 didn't had much hype compared to season 1 (at least in my eyes), but I'm glad it's already confirmed. One of my favorite ongoing anime/manga series.

I might be anticipating this season more than S2 solely because of that cliffhanger so I can't wait to get this

I don’t want to be negative but the 2nd season was such a noticeable drop in quality from the 1st that it’s hard to be excited for a 3rd season. The 1st was a classic and overall was so well polished. Here’s hoping the 3rd season marks a return to form.

How does a third season even make any sense? Having the announcement immediately at the end of s2 just makes the plot even more pointless

This is the news I've been waiting for.

My hope is that they get a larger budget and can bring a top end studio to the task. Season 2 deserved better. The artwork was inconsistent.

I pre ordered the Blu-ray for S2, but found out that the soundtrack CD is not released and no plans to release one. This is unfortunate, because it was the reason I bought S1 BD for one week's pay, to get the soundtrack CDs.

That said, I can't wait to see Fushi encounter modern technology in the modern world arc!
