high since I enjoyed the second season more than the first season.
S1 was better visually, but the story is better in the S2

People are too harsh on the second season, it was not as good as season 1, but it definitely wasn't bad. Just Okay.

They should've never made a season 2. It's far past its time.

...or they could have chosen a competent studio to animate this and had a better way to direct season 2 . Weird, right ?

I still don’t understand why ppl hated season 2. Nothing really looked too different or seemed too off to me. So I personally still have high expectations.

Having a competent direction and studio would certainly have elevate the entertainment aspect of the second season a bit more. However, the material it's adapting is the problem.

Before it was 'It's far past its time.' , now is 'the material it's adapting is the problem.' ? I am confused , can you decide what the problem is ?

Both are true? This is like early 2010s humor and storytelling.

It's not going to fly in 2022+.

Not sure who they're even making this for. Subpar animation, more of a cult classic, LN ended publication. This is a definite money sink.

What's wrong with that? I have to say it was still enjoyable. The animation and art were a dissapointment at first, but after getting used to it it was completely fine and I had a good time with it (I just finished it). I've definitely seen far worse animation and art, it was just the drop in comparison to the first season which made it a dissapointment.

Also the manga is still ongoing.

If it's not your cup of tea that's completely fine, but that doesn't make it bad. Calling it a "shitshow" is simply disrespectful. Personally I'm happy that it exists.

I couldn't even survive 2 episodes in season 2. The facial expressions didn't match the voice lines at all. What was just a regular tsukkomi gets turned into a facial contortionist routine. I'm actually surprised they renewed this for another go. Talk about beating the dead horse stupid.

It is a sad thing to realize that you're no longer excited for a Maou-sama sequel...
Ahora, triste en la pendiente, solitario y ya vencido yo me quiero confesar

I thought season 2 was bad. I was confused about this also being named season 2 so I came here to check (my question has since been resolved). So then I wanted to see what people's thoughts were since it is clearly rated much lower than season 1.

At first I was surprised so many in her said they liked season 2. But then I realized that would make sense. They'd be the people most excited for the next season after the weak(er) season 2.

I don't think I'll watch this season, as I don't think I'll ever finish season 2 (the first one). But good luck to everyone else.

anime fans(not you , the dude youre quoting)
trying not to be stupid and realise not everything is a manga adaptation and manga adaptations of lns dont matter(looking at you shadow fans)

but yes
i want more of this just because i need ppl to realise
hataraku was never fcking good
its literally just nostalgia goggles plus ppl misinsterpeting the plot of a series and assume that its doing something it isnt then act surprise when the series never does that anymore
reiwa weebs will unironically tell u they want a remake or sequel but when they get it ,its suddenly souless and a cashgrab cause they dont like the thing anymore and cant fathom they grew out of it and must mean the show somehow became bad

Low.
Man I hate when the Yuusha is stronger than the Maou cuz it makes a lot of cringe moments like when the Yusha bullied the Maou...etc.
Even so I'm still gonna watch it anyways.

Still quite low. But after watching the recent episode (ep. 14, I think?) and seeing how they are handling Emi's conflicted thoughts and setting up of Maou's as well, I'd say there's glimmer of hope for a proper story conclusion. And that's all I really ask from this series at this point.

As long as they don't do the same filler-like rom-com take they did on S2, this season could end up being fair enough as a payoff for what the 1st season was setting up at the time. But mostly just regarding Emi and Maou's self-conflict. I don't expect much from side-characters' stuff anymore, nor the Ente Isla sfuff, which is a shame because I WAS interested about them during the 1st season as well.
