Yes, he delivered some slaps back then, but they were earned and useful. Titans bullying was neither, the anime really wants us to hate them. I imagine the Titan young woman, Emma, might defect sooner or later (to join a more temperate faction in the Federation). Seeing the abuses, I want to root for the AEUG but it was said they were allied with the Zeon remnants. And those are certainly not better than a military dictatorship. Funny to see what Char finally got as soulmate: a angry bullying kid with a good IQ. Poor Casval, this won't be enough to mourn Lala and forget her special bond with Amuro. 4/5 edit: dialogues are a big disappointment, they feel so unnatural they made me nervous more than often. @Roy_Focker He will eventually discover new motivations. But you described the trigger for him quite well. @FMmatron The 0079 "slap scene" became legendary between the first broadcast and Zeta's making (there are even T-shirts with Amuro's quote nowadays!) so expect more, more, and even more of this kind of scene randomly inserted in almost EVERY episode of Zeta. I wonder if Tomino thought he had to feature enough of them in order to lure people in. ("fan-service") Have a good watch ! |

| Overall, the episode is quite interesting. too dynamic narrative in advancing the plot, there are no dead time and the action is sufficiently compelling, more than once, I thought Fa Yuiry, could risk his life. Drawings and animations, more than decent. Taking Gundam MkII, by Kamille, so reminiscent of the view scene in 0079. It's nice to see Bright, sin is treated so bad after what he did in the war seven years ago, he did not deserve it. |

| I can barely wrap my head around how stupid this episode was. Kamile is one of the angriest and vindictive characters I've ever seen, and I have no clue why he is that way. He steals a prototype Gundam just to scare a person who did him wrong. He immediately joins with the guys who attacked his colony and are directly responsible for destroying his home. His parents seem to be doing very well for themselves working for the Titans, so I bet his actions just screwed over his family. I honestly can't comprehend just how cartoonishly evil the Titans are. I can understand them dismissing Bright because they are in different branches of the military, but why the hell would they just beat him up. I guess because the already established Zeon as Space Nazi's, they needed to be extreme dicks for us to hate the Federation. This anime has shown some of the most garbage writing I have ever seen. I've heard people say this is the best Gundam series in the franchise, so I hope this anime turns it around at some point. It feels like it is trying to undo everything the previous Gundam anime did. | He turn-coat, that was unexpected, I’m going to contradict myself… but bear with me his turn I can understand, those titans (the majority) are @ssholes! but at the same time to turn against his colony (he didn’t defend the innocent) for the reason that some douche make fun of his name and because he took a beating was kinda a wtf moment for me, maybe this saga would delve more into why he did what he did and I hope his motives aren’t as petty as the ones that these 2 episodes has shown to me. |

| Curious as to why Char believes he is hearing Lalah, as he should know better than almost anyone else that she is long gone. I guess it wouldn't be that surprising, given the powers Newtypes have previously shown. Residual messages a decade later wouldn't be that surprising, I guess. Guessing by the way the Titans treated Bright, the Earth Federation forces don't share jurisdiction with the Titans. As Bright is a commander now, a Lieutenant shouldn't be able to backtalk him like that. "How come he can shoot us when we can't shoot up?" Because Char doesn't suck at ass at piloting mobile suits, lol. I already don't like this new Captain. These Titans really have no regard for civilian lives, having an entire firefight in a residential area like that. So Kamille has a military father, just like Amuro. Even Bright acknowledges Kamille as "another Amuro." Kamille is definitely more aggressive than Amuro was. Even in Amuro's edgiest moments, I doubt he would have threatened an officer like that. Fa grabbed the trophy, lol. I understand why Kamille hates the Titans (they look like dicks), but I'm curious as to why he hates the Earth Federation (aren't they supposed to be the good guys?). Either I missed something or that will get explained later. How dare these dicks assault Bright like that. He's just stating the truth. Will we get to see this Mega Particle cannon? That handkerchief trick to stop the air leakage was really smart. I doubt I would have been able to come up with something like that in the same situation. |
| I feel very ashamed but seeing Bright getting slapped was hilarious after what he did to Amuro, felt like karma. Seems like we'll be seeing more of that. The episode itself had even more callbacks to the original MSG. Captain Bosk looks like Degwin Zabi with his ridiculous glasses. Fa = Fraw (how original). Surprising that her mother survived during the raid. We even got an obligatory complaint about the Feds turning the colony into the military base. Also got to appreciate the fact that despite some sloppy animation during the fights, people were shown blowing to pieces inside the GMs. War cruelty and all that. People seem to be concerned with Kamille's character, but I'm fine with an impulsive kid, such a character can be fine, especially if impulsiveness is not the only feature of his. I'm more bothered with NT magic though I guess I will have to get used to it. It was weird seing Zakus being used by the Titans to fight A.E.U.G. Aren't they, like, an embodiment of evil, something the Titans should clear up? Well, the Titans are the evil now. By the way, I wonder what's the reason for Char to fight now. I guess it's just "spacenoid liberation", as simple as that. |

| Man, this show is going places. I gotta say, I really can't tell where this is going and I like it. Kamille REALLY seems to hate those Titan guys. I suppose he does have a past with them because otherwise it wouldn't make sense. Really wasn't expecting the protagonist to join Char, who now has two advanced Gundams. Interesting. So, those Titan guys seem to be a seperate organization from the normal federation with the goal to hunt down the remaining Zeon troops from what I could gather. It's a bit dumb how they are just all cartoonishly evil. As if they put the biggest assholes into this faction. Them just beating up Bright like that is kind of a stretch. I bought the first slap from the officer guy, but afterwards they went too far. I get that it's Titan territory but they can't be THAT powerful, right? Anyway, I'm curious where this will go. So far it looks like the Titans are the evil guys, but I wonder if Kamille will remain on Char's side or join Bright eventually. |

| This episode showed the brutality and arrogance of the Titans, explaining why Kamille hates them. Makes a lot more sense. They really did a number on Bright too. The battle was a little stilted. |

| And there I was, watching the episode, thinking to myself: "ok, Camille entering the Mobile Suit and becoming a new prodigy, just like Amuro, is so predictable"... and what happens? Camille enters the suit and sides with Zeon! Now, that was a welcome surprise! It's obvious from the beginning that Gundam Zeta is willing to push the "gray" areas of the first series to a new level. And I'm in for the ride. |
