 The Fuji TV's +Ultra 2022 Lineup Presentation livestream announced a television anime and movie for Gorou Taniguchi's (Code Geass, Back Arrow) mixed-media project Estab-Life on Thursday, subtitled Great Escape and Revengers Road, respectively. The television anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2022 on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block and other channels. After reaching its peak, Earth's population fell into decline. AI was developed to help preserve the species and manage the ecosystem; a grand experiment in human diversity. | Kinda wish that it wasn't so CG heavy but the art work itself for the character designs as well as the locations all looked great imo The synopsis seems interesting enough too so hopefully the finished product ends up being pretty good. I wasn't a big fan of Back Arrow but I know via Code Geass that Taniguchi has it in him to make something great P.S. Who or wtf is SFF (The name next to original story) |

| The designs of the different places look really cool, but nothing else stands out. Premise has the potential to be very good, but like most mixed media projects, the story will probably take a turn in the wrong direction and ruin all that expectation and potential. Not liking the character designs either, makes it seem like this is based on a younger age group. 3DCG seems decent but who knows what the end product will be like. Still woulda preferred 2D. |

No, seriously, I watched almost, extra-empahsis on almost, every post-Code Geass anime the guy has done and while some of them are good, none of them are the smashing hits you'd expect from a director of Taniguchi's caliber. He's basically the Brian Michael Bendis of anime. |
