| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Rin is quite attached to the hero Zaburn influence from anime, but the last battle totally shot her confidence down to lose all passion while Hosomichi goes full-on psyche-diivng into Rin's mentality. Arahabaki's mechanic Mimi Kagurazaka, the hostess we saw in Episode 1, adds to the whole Garanndoll mystery. The True Army's Garann mechs powered by patriotism, while Arahabaki's are powered by passion in otaku stuff (that Hosomichi is fighting to overcome, or more like forcefully trapped in Rin's dream). Hosomichi trying to push reality onto Rin having the mentality of a kid, and it's so easy to break their mentality from just a single push-to-shove. Rin REALLY does want to play the hero role, but given her current state, she's more a sacrifice than anything to stop the True Army (led by Hayate Makami) in their tracks. Only Hosomichi can stop her, and even Mimi halts the battle mid-way for Hayate to hear last words exchanged between both him and Rin, it's so mind-blowingly stupid (but maybe some of you will love it). Oh well, the fuse between the 2 of them makes for a Darling in the FranXX situation, only it were made the fact that Otaku dreams draw strength to defeat enemies. Wow am I so not feeling this, is it weird that I find Back Arrow (as equally stupid as it is) even more enjoyable than this? I would take the latter anyday. |

| Transformers-style scene change, this show just got better. So the simulation to get Rin and Hosomichi to accept each other consists of a live hero show for Zaburn that both of them attended as kids. So Zaburn is the hero, Emperor of the Sea is the robot, and titular "Zaburn, Emperor of the Sea" is the combination of both. I knew the Zaburn action figure Hosomichi had would come in handy. Hosomichi's dad kinda looks like Tem Ray. What happened to him? Did he leave during the invasion by the alternate Japan. Mimi puts some sense into Hosomichi as last episode he did not see eye-to-eye clearly with Rin. He now sees that Rin's graffiti on Shark One was of him as Zaburn rather than Zaburn i.e. she wants to see him as a hero. Rather than let Rin be a decoy, Hosomichi also dons a pilot suit inspired by Zaburn and awakens the passion inside Rin once more. With a dual-piloting system we see a variety of two-handed attacks or attacks that require cooperation from the pilot and the battery girl. |

| So with the second girl being an idol I can assume from the OP that the third is the girl with the laptop, so I'm guessing some sort of tech based passion, could be games. Also that FranXX cockpit position gave me a chuckle. |
| I don't care anyone else say this show is awkward and boring. For me, this is my top 5 anime this season, definitely fire and fun. 5/5 ep, can't wait for next week! |

| This show is so deliciously chuuni that I'm really loving it. I don't know if it'll become another cult classic like another chuuni mecha show I refuse to mention by name for the third week in a row, but time will tell. Even if it ends up being trash, for now it's fun trash. It seems like there's some backstory with the MC's father, I wonder when we'll find out about that? Hmm, next week we're introduced to Girl #2 of 3. I suppose with a Host MC, this was to be expected, but hopefully harem tropes aren't what drags this anime down completely. |

| It still remains a somewhat fun time, although it still takes itself too seriously and some of that fanservice is just ridiculous. She has to put her ass right in his face to go full power? Lol ok. I’ll give it another episode and see if the idol girl gets me to drop it. |
| Lots of excited scenes on this episode, and i like their passion, the interaction also nice, its burned right through my eyes, and the other part. Lol i knew it, people here must be talk about her ass first. Then, its actually a wholesome position, fuckin lucky host. But glad that finally he was able to be true himself acknowledged what the desire he truly hide, for a certain reason on the past, right? The action mecha scenes of the shark-one once again pleased my eyes with the visuals. Much info has been dump related to the robot function, zero-two, soul infusion engine, eh? I wonder if its had a negative impact through the body of the battery girl along the time its use. Then, i see that those adult also had a special similar relationship on the past. Really looking forward to see the next battery girl. Mc dude, prepare to burn up your excitement again! |

| See, this is what I knew the Director would pull through with. Brilliant playing around with the aspect ratio, breaking alongside the dream collapsing and panning out to match Rin's eyes, and some excellent use of splitting in the final fight, having the very frame highlighting the weapon squeeze in unison with it. A pretty comfortable story structure, too, solving an arc in 3 episodes to match the basic acts of it. Definitely vying for the top spot this season for me. |

| damn this show surely bring back Nostalgia, the feeling when everything is just exciting, that time when we kids didn't know what cringe was. that was relatable. adult life sucks lol They really use the Anime Troupe to the maximum and i love it. I love all the silliness and the chuunibyou from Rin-chan |

| Great episode and great show so far. The relationship between Hosomichi and Rin really reminds me of Yuuta and Rikka from Chu-2; a girl who is not ready to grow up and the guy who wants to forget his adolescent past, but is inspired to cherish his youthful thoughts and ideas. Can't wait for next episode. |
| hehehe, I really love Akagi, Rin's character here. and, LOL, their enemy is so innocent about love, it's cute! Bruh, just marry each other already >.<. Let me ship them since this story is already doing it. Yeah, we really need a hero's BGM. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| I like that the ninja girl gave them a moment. Even the villains are goofballs in this lol. This series is all kinds of silly, but I really like it. |
