| Very tired and cliche "everybody gets a super power battle royale" show that isn't even trying to sell itself with any particular twists on the formula. It's not the worst cliche to engage in, mind you, especially in a season full of misogynist slave harem fantasies, but it relies much more heavily on execution, and this is firmly mediocre as far as these battle royale shows go, leaning heavily towards the lower end. A lot of times, you can sell these kinds of things solely on production strength, and this definitely doesn't have it. Things do improve as the episode go along, but the animation is, well, not as godawful as Peach Boy, but it's not much better either. It also gets bogged down in both the middle and the end with the explanation of the stupid battle royale, which is a little weird because the actual fights flow fairly decently. A lot of swallowing of disbelief does need to be had for how the dude is able to rig together elaborate snares or dig out an entire chemistry set in seconds, but the scenes themselves aren't absolutely murdered by long explanations of basic chemistry or physics, or him having long internal monologues re-explaining the obvious situation. If the budget wasn't so terrible, those parts at least could have been decent, and the characters at least are baseline competent and not irritating overreacting prats, so you could salvage this, but as far as this episode goes, it's very much a pale imitation of things like Zodiac Wars or Darwin's Game, a comparison that's not at all complimentary. |
| Meh. Had okay animation, pacing was a little fast and the art style seems outdated (not inherently bad, just weird). Not as good as the manga but it's to be expected. My only real dislike for this is Mion's voice. That shit is atrocious. |

| Oh wow look at that crap feedback from MAL usual nerds lol This episode was pretty cool and got me hooked, the soundtrack is on point and it was very epic when he used his canon for the first time, as well as when his ability was revealed. This ability is going to make a lot of twists later I bet, I'm hoping for some even darker stuff to happen later on. I do really wish they don't skip anything though, that's the only really annoying thing about this anime for now. The cat's voice is not annoying, just slightly strange, which is fine and fitting imo. Can't wait for episode two and more of this! |

| I'm just gonna say this, the opening part of the game reminded me of Btooom like crazy and then the school girl and mc are giving me a Ryouta Himiko vibe. Also she looks a bit like Iu from standing on a million lives and mc has the same insight as the mc from 1000000 lives. |

| MC's ability seems really interesting and I can't wait to see him test out it's limitations. Personally I like this artstyle over the norm nowadays, although the animation could be better. All in all I think this anime has a lot of promise if they properly flesh out the MC and make him a believable genius. |
| Mion's voice....ugh....That voice really doesn't match the character design... Made me want to stop watching the moment I heard it, but I endured. And then I just decided to mute her when she showed up again. ^^ |

| The art was nice, but the pacing and animation felt kinda off. With this speed the season will probably finish at part 3 of the tests if it's 12eps and part 4 if it's 24 eps. Currently the manga is at part 4 and it's super interesting, but I'm not sure if the anime will bring the same hype as the manga given what we saw for episode 1. It's kinda like giving a textbook answer to a question. Technically everything is correct and all the important parts are there, but it's missing the soul/passion/personality P.S. I dislike Mion's voice and the shade of purple used for her hair |

| Not that fan of the MC's attitude and typical speech in the first part but the rest was fun. His ability is super interesting and Mion's interest goes beyond being picked at random. Speaking of Mion, her voice is so annoying. The other character that caught my interest besides the blonde protagonist was obviously the girl in lingerie... damn. Is that Akari Kito? Nice. |
| With how he treated killing the dangerous bandaged guy as a game, I can't tell if Akira is a genius or just mad man. Quite the fastpaced start here and so far feels like a generic yet decent death game type of anime but I gotta say Akira's ability of 'whatever your opponent thinks is your ability' seems like an interesting aspect. |

| The MC's cannon-like weapon reminds of His power is really suited to his personality and intellectual capacity atm, I wonder what will happen next if it becomes a double-edge sword later... A bit disappointing on some parts that should have been a good way to introduced some characters but at this episode, almost Akira is the focus. The plot is kind of interesting but I'm more interested on Akira's personality on how he will deal with this death game with his intelligence. I'd really like to know what's up with that cat-like villain that loves the Akira so much... lol It is too lewd that it gives me the creeps... XD |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
