I saw your comment on snk, I will just like to say something. If there is one weakness I can say about snk is that it can feel contrive sometimes and you have made some legit points in that thread that I can agree with and also the plot armor, the Reiner and Armin asspull is the lowest part of the series for me, what I can say though is that Isayama does make up for it in the sense that he can make up for it in the sense that he can make something brilliant come out of it, like in episode 6 of the current season, wasn't a fan of it in the manga but I did appreciate it in the anime and also what is going on with Reiner in future seasons as well.

If you think about it, no matter what he did to able to get to the Erwin Armin drama it will be contrive no matter no matter what he do.

Though it depends on how it affected you, for me it is something I can move on from and accept that my favorite series has its flaws like everyone else, but I know it may not be the case for others like you, though I dont think you should dismiss the entire series writing base only off those situation, when it comes to the plot Isayama is a Mastermind in how well he made it and how it connects easily from previous seasons with his foreshadowing, you can't turn a blind eye to all that though.
