----------------------------------------
The dissecting of this Kowai-sensei's art paintings is alluring. The "simple" case of missing people from paintings isn't such a simple case of just swapping people out, trying to solve a hidden impossible crime is easier said than done.

The secret meeting of Dojima with Lai Fudatsuki to seek answers, two peas in a pod that's not the case with the Seer that instead, Lai has to utilize special invisible contact lens to exact his play in the previous story. In this story, he's not the main person-in-contact, but rather the person of interest to the Seer (most probably in relation to the Twenties). Trying to play truce with Lai and his Pretty Thug Friends, that's a risk right there for the Pretty Boy Detective Club. Glad that Michiru and Hyota's obsession with Dojima paid somehow, but not in the way that she expects.

Back to The Auditorium of the Auditorium, the theory crafting and pressure expectations are putting a strain on Dojima, yet the other Bihounens are able to see through her. Using Lai's forgotten item of invisible lens that turns her star-studded vision into a perfect one, the kidnapping case of the giant art project is as perfect as students gone missing awry. And Sosaku the Artiste matches it up with the case of the 33 paintings, to which Dojima nails the theory deduction on that.

Beautiful story that ends with a bliss, those stars a-shining with glances in the art room. Now this is what you call style over substance, and if you're a NisiOisin fan, this is completely similar or the same as per Monogatari standards.

The sensei showed up, so that biggest one was actually painted by all the art students... and for the other ones she wanted to paint "gods" (even though that part was a bit weird), but that end had so many beautiful and shining colors, great.

Once again Sosaku said a few words and I'm feeling great.
Rai Fudatsuki is back and he wants to meet Mayumi. From her investigation, she found out what she was thinking of him having a vision like her wasn't the case. In fact, he was using some lens to see the invisible assistant at the time. She also found out that there are many people out there who are behind her vision just like them. She even got an offer to join the Pretty Thug Club in his school.

Aside from that, Kowai sensei finally showed up and she wasn't expecting someone to deduce her case but Mayumi and Sosaku deduced it quite beautifully as Soutouin's wording says. The theory of painting gods was pretty interesting to me and leaving out others. Mayumi really getting into the Detective Club and finally starting to show her colors.

I'm still in my feels over the roof painting and its been like an hour since I watched it

Loved how Mayumi deduced everything even though she had no ideas what-so-ever

Also Lai and Mayumi friendship I live for~!

That teacher is amazing though

Well the resolution to the mystery was pretty underwhelming. I thought of that answer right away but disregarded it because I thought it would be too easy. In general, this anime just feels like empty calories. You watch for the beautiful visuals and none of it really sticks with you after it’s done.

Do you really not understand Nisio's writing? Like he does this intentionally...

The Monogatari series offered more substance in its characters, narratives, and world. I am familiar with his writing style, it is part of the draw to this series. But it doesn’t feel like there is much else coming with it in this anime.

If monogatari is ur only experience with him I can see why you think this way. This feels more inline with his prime works like zaregoto or medaka box. where anticlimax and obvious explanations are the key tools of his writing.

I see. Regardless, even if it is part of his writing style that doesn’t mean that it is above criticism or that I have to accept it as good. I can give him credit for having a distinct voice, but it certainly has its drawbacks.

I think out of all the arcs so far, this was the most simple, but it's definitely the most beautiful and deep. Great episode! Lmao, Lai's school has their own pretty boy club named Pretty Thug Team. When your eyes are so OP that contact lenses meant to enhance your eyes downgraded it.

I love how enthusiastic Sotoin was for Doujima's theory while the rest of them were worried that Sotoin might find out about Lai. But, do not underestimate our 5th grader. I honestly really like Towai Sensei, I hope we see more her, I respect her passion for painting. That epilogue was beautiful as fuck though. Really looking forward to the next arc.

so this time the mystery was pretty simple with the auditorium cause you could easily deduct that the painting was painted over but i would never expect the answer for the 33 paintings :o

Good episode. The ending was adorable. The biggest surprise was that no one joked about Nagahiro being a lolicon.

I am now convinced that Hyouta is best boy.

Being able to scold someone for 3 hours is a talent.
A beautiful talent.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, again only experience of his work is Monogatari so maybe that show set the bar way too high for his work?

I am not that good at understanding deep abstract explanations about paintings but I still found their explanations beautiful.

Doujima and Lai's conversation about wanting friends you don't have to be considerate with was relatable. But in reality you have to be considerate or else they'll avoid you making it hard for you to live in the society.

Such a wonderful episode especially when Manabu wholeheartedly thanked the missing & accused sensei of theirs...

Lai is more like an incubus here who tried to seduce Mayumi to be with their group, he said "us" so who is he referring to?!

I'm glad Mayumi finally realized what's her role is to be, to be beautiful, to be a~

Anyway, great episode!
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Yes I was thinking the same, and what's even funnier is that Mr. Hiiragi was an art teacher as well.
