Watch this series if you want real smart characters

Kuno, whatever she's called, it was more emotive to see her getting that ass haircut and crying in the behind the scenes😭😭😭
Thank you so much buddy 🙏
Interesting, corruption and nepotism has become worse these years here and doesn't seem to improve even with protests unfortunately.
I was talking about the movie as a whole. While many people, especially teens, go through periods of existential questioning and doubt, every character in the film (except for Yuno) presents a worldview that is almost entirely devoid of hope or agency to change and rise above their circumstances. The over the top kid nihilism feels more like a narrative choice to heighten drama rather than a reflection of adolescent experiences. I know, it is deeply rooted in themes of alienation, escapism and despair inspired on the Japanese youth of 90s/00s but I feel that it leans too heavily into these themes without offering sufficient nuance or complexity which overshadows any concrete message. It's that difficult to understand my perspective?
I genuinely wanted to like it but I don't hate it. Just expected way more from it considering the length and also how similar it is to Evangelion (in a lot of ways) but there's many things that didn't sit right to me, it's hard to explain, mainly because of its narrative structure and how problematic it is at delivering very simple messages.
You probably know Edward Yang movies (Yi Yi, Terrorizers), particularly A Brighter Summer Day, which I consider the superior version and what AALCC could have been.
>it was Yuichi who does
Yes, my bad, I was referring to him.
The characters just seemed to be a pretext to expose every violence there could be in youth for 2 hours. A cavalcade of pointless cruelty. Rape, suicide, vicious bullying, prostitution, all these complicated themes trowed into a blender. Scenes that should have been tragic and upsetting were infuriating instead because barely any time is spent showing the effects of the events on the characters, to me, they had no other purpose than shock value. Why is this movie trying to form relationships that don’t exist? None of these people are friends, I wouldn’t even call them classmates. This isn’t about falling apart with friends, this is about people taking out their frustrations on others.
Please enlighten me, what can you get out of this mess?
Ritual is better than that mess, even An Elephant Sitting Still was better.

>Welcome to the N.H.K!
Lol only recognized the Lilly Chou-Chou sample
>Do you listen to breakcore?
Some of Machine Girl, not really into that genre
Not as much as before 😭 (I still find his songs relatable though but I prefer other rappers more)

Btw have you listen this Shoegaze EP? Short and straight, 7/10 for me

LMFAO it is considered one of the best Death Metal album ever, I don't even fw that genre, in fact I think it's trash but that one is art with its masterful symbolisms.
They carried the Olympics and France 🗣️🔥
>To See the Next Part of the Dream
Ehh... As a whole, I'd say it is a 5/10. This album is more of the same Shoegaze's albums I've listened before, "enveloping" but repetitive sounds, "depressive" lyrics, in each song and, who the fuck gives a shit about the singer's voice? Typical Shoegaze, nothing fresh that would make me say "oh this time they made an interesting turn with the genres". That's why I have a problem with these mostly, since they never innovate and always stick to the same thing, it becomes bland and boring pretty quickly to me. It's interesting to use a bit of Shoegaze but if an album is based entirely on that, I don't consider there's anything that stands out above other albums or genres.
I fw this Shoegaze album:

>I remember you used to fw him and Monster a lot.
I appreciate the series quality but idgf about Johan anymore, mid character ngl. Grimmer is still peak secondary character.
Kamui Uehara>>>>>>>>>>>>Johan Liebert
>how can people perceive him as the smartest anime character
He's even more pretentious and cringe in the LN as an unreliable narrator.
>I mean didn't Johan Liebert do this as well?
Yes, personally I'm not fond of him. I've seen a lot of people mentioning him when they talk about smartest characters, I don't get it neither, he's more like a plot device.
