So Nanbu the trainer was already dead.... No wonder Joe was so broken before, like a lifeless doll, that was so sad, What would Joe do with the village chief? Will he train him or be his representative? cant wait to see it more ^.^ |

| So some kid stole Joe's bike, but it leads him to a village of immigrants taking refuge at an abandoned amusement park. Joe finds out that the land is being put up for auction so the immigrants have two weeks before they get kicked out. The Chief is planning on entering the Megalo Box tournament in order to buy the land for his people. Joe finally gives up the drugs so he can train the Chief for the tournament. |

| I wonder if he´s returning to Gearless Joe, or if he will stay as "Nomad". Also, the moment the ost kicks in when he drops the drugs and asked Chief to be a train partner is just amazing. |
| As a Mexican myself, I must say I found this episode very enjoyable. I really like the representation of my community in foreign media :D As for the episode itself, I liked it more than the previous one. Great development and I really like the new introduced characters, specially Marla. I hope she gets more screentime through the season, and I also hope to see some of the characters from the first season back. I wasn't very convinced how this season was gonna turn out to be after the first episode but I feel now that it will be a very good sequel. |

| This was solid. Cliche yet still interesting enough for me to be invested in the 'redemption' journey 'again'. I do find the story to be a lot more interesting than the first one which lacked creativity with its storytelling and matches as a whole (plus gears were useless then too). This one seems to have a lot more thought out to its story, setting and redemption arc and I love the Spanish influence with the setting, references and music as a whole. The female to help out Junk Dog in this episode was infinitely better than Yukiko in the entirety of season 1 as one of the very few female characters to exist in the anime beyond just the background. |
| At first I thought the kid stealing bike was black so I was like damn I wonder if these Japanese guys even know about that bike stealing joke or they actually do and decide to make a racist joke anyway, then I found out the kid is more likely to be Mexican so it's all good. That being said, still dislike how sickeningly American this show feels like, from the pickup truck to the cowboy hat etc. if I want American boxing then I'd rewatch Rocky Balboa instead of this junk, I'm here to see the Japanese post war culture akin to the 1st season (which is closer to OG Joe), not Hispanic culture por favor, not to mention the hidden political message about illegal immigrants and s***. Maybe I was reading too much into this but please leave politics the f*** away from entertainment media like anime you Japanese dunce! Or if they want to include politics so much, don't make it so obvious lol Will still stick around till the end to see whether |

| The theme oF Nomad as the OP was great. SO good. I felt a bit emotional seeing Sachio and dying Nanbu. Really good second episode. Marla is a good character. I hope we can see more of her. Joe is off drugs now and I hope he gets back in the ring. That god-tier OST at the end. SO damn good. |

| The Sachio flashback gave me chills. I hope he is okay and that we see teenage Sachio this season. |
| 2 episodes in and I can already see this becoming the dark horse once again this season. The atmosphere of the show, this season in particular, is amazing. I am very hyped to see in which direction the story goes. |

| I was pretty doubtful where the show was gonna go in episode 1, but as new things are opening up, it is shaping up to be pretty cool. The new opening and ending are great aswell. Feels a bit sad when you see the glimpses of the past with Ossan and Sachio tho. New characters are pretty good too. Another bonus, Maria is pretty. |

| Joe decides to help the Chief with the tournament. Threw away his drugs and is ready to fight again. He'll need a new Gear tho xD Hopefully he gets it somehow. The ED is kinda relaxing. |

| Besides troublemaker Mio, Chief and the rest of the immigrants were really nice towards Joe. Pretty hype seeing Joe returns and wanting to see Chief winning the tournament |

| The OP was pretty good. He met Mio and Marla. (She's pretty hot though) Chief helped too. He's a good dude. Also looks like these people are Mexicans since I've heard they have this festival to honor the dead and guide them with flower petals. Why does Joe blame himself for Nanbu's death? Also looks like Joe will follow the path of a trainer now. I swear to god this ED is so fucking good! |

| I'm enjoying this tonal shift a lot. I'm a mexican so its great seeing hispanic people in anime. And I haven't really seen refugees in anime before, so touching on this topic is cool. I think Joe will fit in with them since he was never a legit citizen anyways Rewatch edit: Why did I say refugees instead of immigrants? 🤦♂️🤦♂️. Well like I said I love the representation, and forgot all about that Mio kid. It’s sad how immigrant families do anything to cross the border just for their kid, in a promising new land, to just join a gang instead. The OST and cinematography are still 10/10 |

| Immigration is a rare topic for Japanese animation. Chief is a likable character. I like Mara, not too much her son so far. Joe killed Nanbu? No way! I won't believe it. |
