World Building eh
Dat killed Log Horizon
2 more episodes Urek cameooo cumin soon
i m sure anime watchers will be shocked :)

The name is Tower of God so I guess it would be actually interesting and relevant to know with more details the structure of the Tower, or levels, or whatever it might be, or to get some actual info about the physical and political laws that rule this world, and so on...

tbh that world building u talk about will happen in future if it gets another season.
1st season of manhwa and anime introducin chars , Big thing that will change your opinion on this anime.
Theres too many unknown things for even manhwa readers
if we get 2nd season we will learn more about shinsu, how this tower works , chars related to another , Big factions dat will affect whole tower , Big names , Core chars, True purpose of Rachel etc

Also is "The Bull" a beast/creature of Jahad or something? I'm not reading ahead in the manga, so don't spoil me or anything. But the eye on that beast looks similar to the 3-eye marking associated with Jahad. Considering how powerful it is and being controlled by the Royal Enforcement Division, would it be a stretch to say that the beast was tamed or created Jahad?

No its just one of the many Animals that live in the tower. But it is tamed or controlled yes in this case.

Anaak and Endorsi both got beaten today and now Endorsi is being ordered to kill Anaak. Endorsi also lost to the Bull so that means that she has to keep her promise to Anaak so that makes it a difficult situation. It is bullshit that this whole test was set up to kill Anaak and this Ren guy is an ass and also took the Green April from Anaak.

The administrators set up this test so they could just get rid of anybody that would be a threat to King Jahad. Bam and Rachel can't do anything because Bam is an irregular and the way that the test was designed was setup for failure. At least they got to have a nice scene talking to each other.

Bam has all of his friends to help so it won't be dependent on luck. Even if it wasn't the intention of the test to test everyone, that is what the rest of the characters are going to have to face.

This episode was definitely better than the last few even though it adapted a lot of chapters and I can't wait to see what they do for what's coming up in episode 12 and 13. One more thing, I wish that we get the Bam x Endorsi scene that would've been in this episode but IDK if they're going to fit it in anywhere.

It sures apllied some fast tracks as hell, there. I can't even catch any break to understand what the fuck was goin. However, what can i expected since this show had only 3 episodes left to wrap up those floor testings?
Sure this test had a trap on it, since i know that shit guy in the costume decide to hunt Anaak. What i don't understand, why Endorsi being so shit there? Where is her powerful power she claimed before? And once more. That little girls ability feels nice. But as always, no explanations during the appearance of the ability. Only a little i know, that she can manipulate the animal (?) with shinsu (?) same like that shit guy on costume (?). Whatever. Maybe her appearance only served as an Introduction for the guy on the costume. Idk. So, thats it, then. I know very well with the strange attempt this show has. Since in the very first beginning, KnT really like to fuck up my mind.

Lemme guess a little premonition here, Endorsi won a battle versus Ren, Anaak survived. That green guy with spear would die. And the rest of them team finished the test with happy smile. The end. Ah, maybe the boss fight against that director really served as finale. Or maybe not? Idk. So far this show surely weird af with the way they were telling a story. Too much story made a complexity beyonds nothing. I can't help myself to enjoy that kind of thing. Poor my dumb brain. Thats it.

Yuga was Lo Po Bia Ren's fake name when he was teaching as a new wave controller teacher.
So it's the wolf(fish?) in sheep clothing (literally) that corners Anaak this episode.

Yuga was not a fake name but the real teacher who was supposed to to teach (rent probably finish him and appear in his disguise )

Their focus on progression rather than content is really making the show generic while mitigating some of the best parts. This is very much apparent during Shibisu's encounter with the bull. In the manhwa, the encounter had more suspense and had one of the best scenes in the prologue where shibisu kicks the bull only to find out its a girl. Its a scene that adds character and originality even tho 'it isnt an important plot relevant scene'. In this episode they generalize the encounter so much it reakly isnt memorable. Even the discussion between Rak and Paracule on whether or not to throw the spear is cut into an awkward scene where the spear was already thrown. It shouldnt take too long to add these scenes. In shibisus scene esp, they didnt merely cut content. They cut and then pasted on a more generic coat of paint thats easier to work with. Although, i will add that while these sort of encounter and comedy scenes are undermined the overall feel and ambience surrounding Lo Po Bia Ren royal enforcement has been better that what i expected out of the manga. You can feel the sinister intent he exudes. Overall doing a good job in consizing long chapters into bite sized episodes plot wise. But the focus on originality and characters is sometimes lost. Also the fast paced nature adds to sme awkwardly directed scenes which should bother anime only watchers. Although all these issues are still bearable enough to keep things entertaining. The missed potential is apparent.

Nope. Honestly the line in anime "even rankers run away from it" Is by mistake. Bull can't stand up to a single finger of a ranker. Though they are beast for regulars

Of course, because killing "Anaak" yourself would be too crazy, right? Just let's have the other princess who SURELY didn't form some sort of bond with her already to do the killing.

Overall, another average episode. I see I did good at not expecting anything from Bam's encounter with the Administrator but still, the supposedly difficult and challenging task lasting merely 30 seconds of screen time was pretty lame.

The addition of comedy during the encounter between Shibisu, the princesses and the "Bull" made me roll my eyes a few times but Cucumber Head (Paracule, I guess?) screwing the plan almost made them go to the back of my head. Seriously, this dude is the one the Bull should have killed because I have no idea how such useless guy managed to reach this far in the tower.

Anyways, apart from that, OST remains as solid as ever and the tension between "Anaak" and Ren was well handled. Wish I could say the same for Endorsi fighting against the Bull but honestly, seeing her falling in the same trap twice was more laughable than anything else.

For me, the only good part of this episode (really good in fact) was the underground sequence with "The Bull", the Princesses of Jahad, and Ren (I think that was his name).

I don't really understand the point of this test. If Bam (and Rachel) are being tested to see if they can continue up the tower, why are they just sitting passively in a ball a Shinsu while all the side characters do the heavy lifting? Bam should be the deciding factor for his own trial, not his friends. (Maybe because I saw this on my phone instead of my computer like I usually do, I missed something, but I don't get the point of the trial except for the fact that it was just bait and a set up for the princesses of Jahad. But Bam or Khun should have at least thought "hey, this test doesn't make any sense".)

That was a little bit of a ramble, but more or less, I just didn't get that invested in the trial/test itself.

Finally, someone with common sense. I also thought I lost something as it makes no sense to "test" Bam if he only has to wait for his friends not to kill him by a bad strategy, but I learned time ago that nothing makes sense in this anime.

Also, is it just my imagination or the test itself looks like something pretty... easy? Maybe I'm overstimating the characters, but I think that Rak and Hatz could easily defeat all those goblins/worms. And if even someone like Shibisu can stab that Torus (Idk how they named it in english) then I don't understand how Endorsi couldn't defeat it in 5 minutes when it was in easy mode.

And why isn't Lauroe in the front line when he is (supposedly) one of the stongests?

Bur it is not as if only Bam is tested. All of them are now being tested. It is their last test to get out of 2 floor and into the 3.
This test was designed by a coffee freak and it was clear for some time that he has ulterior motives.
That creature was being controled by a ranker. Rankers are stronger than Regulars.

Ren is a Ranker whose amount of shinsu manipulation isn't suppressed like Quant, the Ranker they faced before. So Endorsi probably won't be able to win against him. Also he killed Anak's mother who was a Ranker, So Endorsi probably won't be able to win against him. She didn't beat Quant fairly who is an idiot. Ren is in the assassin unit, so tricking him would be hard.

Endorsi doesn't have a chance in hell against a Ranker. The odds are worse than pitting a newborn baby vs the strongest man on earth and hopping that the baby wins in a fistfight.
Endorsi didn't win against Quant, but to a "extremely levelled down" (as in, so nerfed in his possibilities that he was reachable for her) Quant.

Why she acted so arrogant when meeting Quant, then? After taking an April Green blade she might flee away together with Anaak. I guess, thats the real chance for her.

she could because she knew how much he was nerfed to oblivion for the test I guess? Also Androssi, like lots of princesses, are arrogant. Due to them being princesses, they are pretty much default better than 99.99% of the regulars taking the test at their level.
Running away may be difficult considering Ren was already introduced as an anima on top of being a Ranker. Meaning it's not just running away from him, but from any high level beast he's keeping as pets, including the Bull that he's now controlling. And the bull is probably way weaker than any of those fishes that brievly appeared.
So to sum it up it's kind of desperate time/super pinch time right now for Anaak.

Ren didn't order Endorsi to kill Anaak just for the sake of doing it, he wants to test her loyalty for the king since she is climbing the tower with an enemy of Jahad in tow.

And about the Bull thing, how exactly did Endorsi "fall in the same trap twice"? Because the first time you can clearly see that she was expecting to be wrapped up in that creature's tentacle and she easily managed to overpower it and get out of that situation.

I feel like Bam's desire is going to somehow condemn them all... like he HAS to lose the things he wants most to continue on to the top of the tower or something.

I feel like Yuri is going to appear at a crucial moment and turn the tables of this test, hopefully messing up the Director's plans (bastard). I'm really curious about what her plans are... I mean, why is she trying her hardest to get into the test undetected?

They are on the second floor, known as "The Floor of Test" or "Evankhell Hell". Tog's goal still is to climb the tower, but it focuses on the relationship between the characters and the tower (which is basically a world).
I understand your frustration with the tests and it was something that frustrated me at the beginning (because in the webtoon even with comedic scenes, the atmosphere was much more darker than here). But the author usually uses comedy in some scenes like the author of One Piece, but he doesn't overdo it.
Yes they learned, they had classes with teachers about their positions, but they didn’t have teamwork classes and for this test what is more important is teamwork.

True. The direction and the pacing were outstanding, especially compared to midseason. The soundtrack also had a great chance to support the overall show this week. Seeing Bam and Rahel in their bubble reminded me of playing Subnautica. Everything was orchestrated so beautifully!

Royal Enforcement is no joke. The two princesses were dealt with ease. Though, it did not need the 'I will save you for later' act . Just to give Anaak a chance and further motivation to grow, so she can revenge her mother later on, huh?

Anyway 10/10 episode and I really hope the finale can top it.

I don't really like that this was originally Bam's test yet he is the one who is just sitting there doing nothing. I really wish we would see Bam actually doing something other than losing his shit allowing his unknown power to appear because that's not intentional. He's the main character but he's pretty boring so far.

me and my inner me: what's the purpose of tog again? It's about climbing the tower to get their wish granted. No, it's about taking tests seriously. No to that no, it's about not focus on the tests but focus on other things besides the test. Yikes...btw what floors are they currently on and did they learn anything from those previous tests? Idk man, I'm just as confused as you are...

They are on the floor of tests. It never clearly explains what floor it is but I pretty sure its floor 2.

Don't worry it is confusing. ToG is basically not all of those things are also Some of those things. The main story hasn't started yet I hate to say.

Innocence? Is it innocence these people have lost that Bam still has?

I remember that very brief administrator test, the rest I've forgotten already...oh well.

You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

The good ole "killing you now wouldn't be fun" cop-out ay, just when i thought we couldn't possibly get any more cliches in this show

Nope. The reason is because Endorsi became friends with her. He intended to make her kill Anaak from the beginning, and if she refuses, it will count as a betrayal of king Jahad and will therefore kill her as well.

WTF DID THE ANIME REALLY SKIP ANY MENTION OF THE STRONGEST ENTITY IN THE WHOLE OF TOG

PHANTAMINUM THE FCK

I HOPED THEY WOULD INCLUDE IT IN THIS EPISODE.

SERIOUSLY FCK THIS ANIME AND THE DIRECTOR THE DECISIONS TO SKIP HAVE BEEN AWFUL.

THEY SKIPPED THE MOST IMPORTANT WORLD BUILDING BITS ABT THE IRREGULARS ENZO PHANTAMINUM.

Seriously fck the director.

GaRbage anime adaption.

I noticed some changes with the art on this episode. The way they were drawn, weirdly, I prefer this one though. Also, great sakuga from that Ren guy when a huge thing came out from his mouth. Does anybody know about the staff list for this episode? I'm quite curious especially the episode director.

Okay, I did some digging and found out that this episode was outsourced to a studio named Clap, which confirmed my suspicion about the changes in art style. All I can say is, I like the changes, it looks cleaner.

Except it doesn't apply to this particular case. Ren can easily kill Anaak, he just wants to test Endorsi's loyalty towards her father.

Fuck no montage endorsi x bam training.

Now im scared they would remove endorsi famous line next eps.

I mean they already removed "You're not alone anymore, Endorsi." scene that actually important in season 2 so the chance are high.

Fuck this shit.

”Director, you made all the arrangements in such a short amount of time?”

Leroro catches on that Hansung Yu is up to something, he doesn’t care about the examiners passing — his only goal seems to be getting rid of threats to Jahad.
We already knew he would team up with Ren (Jahad spy), but it’s clear now he’s manipulating the test to get rid of Anaak.

Khun also surmises that a Ranker may be meddling with the test, after his discussion with Narae.
Hansung Yu will probably play a larger role later on, he seems like an obstacle for not only Anaak but Bam as well!

My one lingering question is whether Anaak’s mother really was killed by Ren.
