I...actually feel bad for Alai Jr and daddy actually showed up at the end. Hopefully he'll bounce back stronger.

The extent to which Jr. gets manhandled is unreal.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Alai Jr is kind and ends his fight against Shibukawa in a simple light punch to the jaw. His kindness is then repaid by having his finger broken/torn/mangled while his face is smashed and dragged around. 10/10 "stop spacing out you fucking moron"

This arc doesn't have the epic feeling, like the previous one, but I find hilarious how they bully the guy lol, I think that the anime made this part more funny than the manga.
I don't remember laughing as much when I read this part of the manga a while ago.

Jr is a glutton for punishment, how about just saying "No"? Hopefully all of this will make him smarter and stronger.

Seriously, the logic in this series is too absurd.

Faking you own death is a honorable martial arts tactic.
Lynching and mutilating a person is just a normal act.

Orochi vs Junior was unreal just hard to watch too.
"I only studied a little bit of history and I have learned there are two current thoughts in human history. The opinion that there are things worth more than human life and the opinion that there is nothing preferable to life. When the war begins, it is on the pretext of the former type of people and it justify the latter when the war ends"

I always remembered this as one of the worst and most bizarre way of handling a story in manga.

The writer did such a good job of building up this Ali Jr character over a long period of time as a character who could make for a good opponent for Baki. He pretty much destroyed every one he fought with ease, took him no more than a couple punches without really being hit.

He then beat Shibukawa and Doppo who are two other high level characters.

Then for whatever reason, they completely shit on the character afterwards. It wasn't that he just lost to Jack but they undid his previous two wins. Even from this point he loses to his father and then the whole build back up to fighting Baki led to nothing.

I don't why they did that but the writer entirely killed the build up and potential for the character and the fight.

It's like he changed his mind and didn't like the fact that he had Ali Jr beat those other characters and so did a very sudden 180.

It's the worst part of the entire Baki series by far.

Alai jr. easily defeated Shibukawa and Orochi in the previous episode and I thought that shit's ridiculous but I realized that this is their way of saying this dude is really fucking strong so his fight with Baki is gonna be awesome! But then Jack beat him easily in this episode and then the other two came back and fucking played him. What the hell is all this about? And now his dad's gonna shit on him too?

The first season of this series is great then s2 is good, then s3 has a great introduction of a potential great enemy then suddenly it was ruined by the plot which makes it okay, and then s4 is great for a couple episode until suddenly they ruined the plot again, i mean wtf

I like Shibukawa Goki. Good that he fought back. Though it really seems like the author wanted to show both winning once (one time Alai Jr. and the other time his opponents) to satisfy the fans of each of the chars.

Hanayama Kaoru is sitll missing. Will he appear? I don't know. Seems there is a fight between father and son. Since Kaoru is close to Baki he sitll might appear. There are a few episodes left.

Seeing Junior get his ass kicked by the heavyweight heroes of the show who he already "beat" is very gratifying. Don't shit on fan favourites for cheap character set ups, The Last Jedi was shit for a reason.

I was shock and upset that Alai Jr easily defeated Goki Shibukawa, one of my favorite character in the series thinking "really? like he easily deafeated than Doppo Orochi? Where is the justice?" then Goki got a rematch then easily deafeated Alai Jr. that makes me happy. After that Doppo force a rematch and bully Alai Jr. it's when the time that makes this episode trash the worst is his father appear after him to join the bully squad. Bye!

Sure i think Ali jr should get his ass kicked by both Shibukawa and doppo and that their previous fights were meh... but just kicking his ass while his already injured takes a lot of the credit from it, to the point it's just dumb...
At this point in the series we all know that in a real fight you don't have always the best condition but that's just not what happened on those fights
Meh...

now his dad wants to fight him while he's need a a crutch to even walk? lol
what's even the merit of winning ? "hey look at me a won a fight against someone that can't fight"

What a ridiculous plot development, what happened to the hyped up Junior who defeated multiple martial artist with ease and even was described as surpassing his legendary dad only to suddenly be terribly beaten to pulp here. Goki and Orochi's fight was really unfair imo, they didn't get any major injuries last ep but at the rematch this ep they were just bullying an injured guy.

I see someone didn't get the real point of events. It's not about humiliating or getting revenge. These oldmen have taught him important life lessons. And his dad is going to continue teaching him.

Why does she fucking go out with him like that? I felt so bothered when Junior was winning against everyone, so it was satisfying to see Jack beat the shit out of him - the next one was too, but the one with Doppo was just too much IMO.. felt bad for him.

What a terrible and confusing plot.

You actually want this guy to be somewhat on Baki's level..The build-up, the tri-way, the time spend writing the character; to him as expected beating two high-level warriors fairly easy, with kindness. To then being completely shit on by the same characters he beat in a fight that wasn't fair or fun. Not just that, but I feel the two characters acted way out of character to do so.

Unfortunate

Fly too close to the sun, and your wings might just end up melting. As hilarious as it was to see Alai Jr. try to brush off his increasingly severe injuries as one fighter after another came at him like vultures, I can't help but feel a little bit bad for the guy.

Way to kick a man when he's down, guys. To be fair, he could've just walked away from it all but he was too prideful to do so. Kozue does not approve.

Alai Sr. himself wanting to get a hit on his son's the hilarious cherry on top of this cake.

This episode was kinda ass. Ali jr straight up just became up bunching bag and it was hard to watch. I’m not really a fan of the character but still. The rematches with Doppo and Shibukawa were unfair and seriously made me hate the 2

LMAO, Jack humbled this mf, and Shibukawa and Doppo two decided to manhandle him like a punching bag, I feel like this episode just undid the previous one for whatever reason.

So we have Jr getting beat by Jack and all the other ones fight him again now that he's wounded and obviously they win...meanwhile he's still meeting with Kozue but she's starting to despise him it seems like, this is becoming kinda stupid with the fake romance and these fights, now he's gonna fight his father while still being wounded like that? lmao

What is even happening in this episode? they did him dirty this whole episode, but I guess that's what you get for challenging everyone.
