The official website for Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai - The Clouds Gather, the anime film of Kou Yoneda's boys-love manga Twittering Birds Never Fly (Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai), revealed a key visual and the February 15 premiere on Friday. Tarusuke Shingaki and Wataru Hatano are reprising the main character roles from the earlier drama CD adaptation: Tarusuke Shingaki as Yashiro  Wataru Hatano as Doumeki  Digital Manga Publishing publishes the Twittering Birds Never Fly manga in English, and it describes the story: The sexually masochistic yakuza boss, Yashiro, isn't the type to warm up to others easily. But when Chikara Doumeki, his newly hired bodyguard, catches his interest, he reconsiders his "hands-off" policy with subordinates. As Yashiro's invitations fail, the yakuza boss finds out his bodyguard has a very personal reason for staying at arm's length. Fuji TV's new Blue Lynx boys-love anime label is producing the film as its first project. Kaori Makita (Yuri!!! on Ice, Banana Fish episode director) is directing the film at GRIZZLY (Yarichin Bitch-bu). Hiroshi Seko (Banana Fish, Mob Psycho 100 II) is penning the script. The piano trio band H ZETTRIO is composing the music. The series has been running in Taiyoh Tosho's Hertz and ihr HertZ magazines. Taiyoh Tosho published the manga's sixth compiled book volume on May 1. Digital Manga Publishing released the manga's third volume in March 2017. Digital Manga also published Yoneda's boys-love manga No Touching At All (Dōshitemo Furetakunai) in 2010, as well as the Even So, I Will Love You Tenderly (Soredemo, Yasashii Koi wo Suru) spinoff manga. Animate USA released Yoneda's boys-love manga Kanjou Spectrum on Amazon's Kindle ebook store in 2012. Viz Media's SuBLime boys-love imprint is publishing Yoneda's NightS manga. Yoneda Kou's art is beautifully animated too. I loved the sense of cynicism and just deep bitterness that was added with the pacing, the music, and the chapters they decided to adapt. It lasts about 90min by the way, and the second movie is announced post credit. Also : it is r18 for a reason. All the sex scenes are there, no cuts, it's animated + with sound. And that makes sense, Saezuru without sex is like... almost nothing lol That's great to hear. Movie format really is the best for these type of shows. If this was aired on TV, it would've gotten censored af. I also saw the news that there's another content coming aside from the sequel movie. Blue Lynx is really serious with their BL movement. I'm glad they're dedicated to their craft. I'll probably have to wait for 6 months for the blurays to come out because I know damn this ain't getting screened in my country lmao. |

| I just returned from the cinema...kinda weird watching animated p*rn with other people around but person gets used to everything i guess haha. There was even a (het) couple on a date...relationship goals. And we got cute Saezuru card calendar as a present! As for the movie...my Japanese isn't perfect but I could follow along well as it was a faithful adaptation of the manga which I'm very familiar with ehm. The movie is explicit. You won't see any diq but it's certainly no "left to an imagination" kinda thing. In certain parts I wish they would leave things to imagination tho...uncomfortable things are uncomfortable. And as mentioned above, Yashiro's seiyuu ,especially, did an absolutely fantastic job. I never really was a Yashiro fangirl but I think I kinda fell in love during the movie:,) Well, I'm glad I happened to be in Tokyo during the time Saezuru is on a big cinema screen. I live in Japan but in a place that's far from any civilization, so I wouldn't be able to see it otherwise. |

| From what everyone has said so far about the film, that is so great that it’s faithful to the manga, including the R18 moments. That’s exactly how you should do an adaptation. I wish I could be in Japan to see it, but hopefully we’ll get something online in 6-10 months. I’ll give all my praises to Blue Lynx after I’ve seen it with my own 2 eyes. Glad y’all had a good time seeing it in theaters (if ya know what I’m saying) |
