Again, the show is protraying Ash as a hero trying to make a difference in a world of uncertainity. That's kinda sad how events unfolded this episode. I felt bad for those kids... |

| Sakurai-san's character helped that lady enemy for the assault, which is that incident w. the siblings. Younger sibling went missing. Main guy cannot save her though because that's not their goal this time. It seems like the siblings faced the twin enemies then. 2nd generation "Klariskrays" saving that another girl and let her escape w. her weapon. It was to protect that girl when there's enemies attacking. ED: "Living on Like Stars" by Mika Arisaka It seems like Shimono-san's character met that lady enemy w. his sister when they were young. |

| Honestly the ending of this episode was great and unexpected i would even call it epic. I am really looking forward to next week seeing how this will end. And i also wonder what kind of effect all this will have on the future. Also judging by all this it's safe to say that the red haired girl is Clarice, seeing as Matoi transferred the staff to her. If i am not mistaken that is. |

This will be explained in a few chapters at most, and while that's not it, it's not exactly wrong either! tsubasalover said: ED: "Living on Like Stars" by Mika Arisama Mika Arisaka, not Arisama. She's the same singer of the first ED, and like this one, it's a song from Xion to Matoi. I really liked this chapter and I'm so glad they included Gettem & Seana's story as well, which we couldn't see in-game! If I were to complain about something, however, it would be that Persona's reveal was a bit rushed... even though it's such an important thing! Hopefully they will make this up with the rest of the show. |

| So, in the end Ash ends up interfering with the past and we now know that Matoi is Prolific Darkness, but never become one , but was transported to the future without her memories. |

| Hmm so this is the battle that caused Getty's attitude to do a 180 then due to the loss of her partner. Never getting used to seeing those kids devour the bodies of the slain. Matoi's switching between her kind self to her serious self though was pretty impressive showing well not just her sense of duty back then but also the talent of her seiyuu. The apprentices tactic of using the ARK's as puppets though sure was a low move of them. Though its too bad that Ash was too late to stop masked guy the effects of Matoi's demise sure was unexpected. The actions and subsequent reactions of the masked man to Matoi's fate was also a rather curious one as well that raised some interesting questions. So the woman that Alfin met in the future was actually his sister then. |

In fact, her name was in the anime chapter credits as well, plus we've had a few hints already, but I'm guessing they are just waiting for that chapter, yeah. |
| Another amazing episode and this would have been perfect if the action scenes were done better. I'm assuming that the reason Matoi turned like that is due to absorbing lots of falspawns. Now the question that remains is how did she end up in the future. I guess the other version of Ash did something. |

The moment that Xiao brought Ash back into the present time, during the time travelling Xion was talking about erasing everyone's memories and the records of what happened, and she also talked about waiting for Ash. It's implied that she used that time traveling to also bring Matoi into the first episode (Matoi's outfit in the first episode is a white version of the one that appeared on her when she started turning into the Profound Darkness). |
| So it all comes back full circle, I guess. After that moment, Matoi was transported 10 years into the future, where she meets Ash (again) at Naverius. Why she was transported 10 years into the future was not explained, or did I miss something? If I didn't, seems it'll be explained soon enough. So many tragic stories in PSO2... Seana, Matoi, Klariskrays. It seems after seeing her interact with the Clarissa staff, Luther took that little girl and made her into the third Klariskrays. I last watched the 17th episode months ago that I felt a bit lost watching this episode. Had to go back and skim episode 17 lol excited to learn more about Matoi and how this arc ends. Also, it seems Afin's sister became the new host of [Apprentice]. So that's why Afin was so shocked. |

| I knew it (bit obvious) of Persona to be future Ash. Pieces are coming together now that we know what happened 10 years ago. Melrandia shouldn't feel any guilt considering Gemini randomly appeared and blasted Seana away. Pretty sure red haired girl is Clarice (or a clone). So far most plottwists were kind of obvious but never saw it coming that Matoi would turn into Profound of Darkness |
