And so begins the twisted tale of Williams' loaded balls in his Bloomers. And the fail team gets the lecture they so richly deserve. Hopefully they'll start pulling their own weight.

It would have been perfectly reasonable to call the Bloomers out for cheating, but for preserving the drama of the show.

It wouldn't have helped much, they have no proof and it would only lead to them cheating in different ways that might be harder to counteract.

Not if Tokuchi were to, say, catch and crack open the cheat ball with a boxcutter in the middle of a game. There are a few other ways I can think of to solidly implicate the team of cheating with just that. If they catch the cheating once in a public setting, the Bloomers would get knocked pretty far off-balance psychologically, and the refs would be pretty wary of them at that point too.

While not Tokuchi's style per se, it would be an interesting turn in its own right.

And here we have the problem with baseball as a whole.
This felt a little too much like Kaiji to me.
And it was pretty boing.

Not that great of an episode, in professional baseball in America a team can request that the umpire check a ball but I guess that's not an option for the Lyacons.

I was! It was a little strange the Toua said almost nothing for the first half of the episode, but his lecture was pretty cool. As others have mentioned, I hope that it will get the rest of the team to pull their weight. Lol it felt like he was taking them to the darkside! ^^

God I loved this episode, even if it was a bit on the chatty side of things. a Perfect build-up for the retaliation in the next episode, hopefully....and some RAGE pl0x.

all they really have to do is point it out to the press, there's more than enough video evidence to start an investigation, and when Williams can't throw the knuckleball with a normal ball it'll be bye bye pro baseball for him. it'll also bring suspicion on the team as a whole, and I'm sure there's plenty of video evidence that people have been ignoring up to now.

is it just me or does it look like the other team can see the catcher's singals and relay them to the batter so that he'll know what's coming?

btw, why didn't Kojima object to his team wanting to become better ch4eaters instead of exposing the other team? isn't that really out of character for him?

A loaded ball? That cannot be all they are doing. They are clearly stealing signs as well, but the question is how. No batters on second from what I can see.

Possibly considering the length they go to cheat by injecting water into the balls. Damn, that sounds so wrong now when I read it.

At the start this show had incredible promise and even up to about episode 10 I was still enthralled with the unraveling events taking place each episode, but now I'm losing interest only because Tokuchi is too godly. It's no fun how he never sweats (figuratively) he needs a rival that can match his level of cunning. There's no sense of danger because so far Tokuchi has dug his way out of every grave he was thrown into. Whenever a new challenge arises I know that it's nothing to worry about because Tokuchi is a god of deception...

It seems like the owner is planning something very devious, I hope that changes things up a bit. I also hope we get a convincing back story on how he became so good that he can out smart the pros in Japan, maybe he needs to go to America for a real challenge.

In the beginning I thought to myself, "If this show maintains this level of quality I'll definitely give it a 10" but now I'm edging onto an 8-9 territory of rating. I watched too many episodes today, I'm going to take a little break.

Heh, I love how Tokuchi responds to the cheating. Rather than trying to expose their foul play, he wants to top it.

Harsh, but true explanation, it also explains why their at home percentage is much higher since the home team supplies the balls.

Too much talking. It got pretty boring.

So we can safely say that Williams's knuckleball is definitely rigged.

I'm curious as to how the Lycaons might cheat against or perhaps expose the Blue Mars.

Okay episode.

Why on earth do they need to rig a knuckle ball? They could have just gotten a pitcher who could actually pitch one . . . Well whatever. Anyways, can't wait to see how this game of cheating turns out.

So they're cheating by changing the weight of the ball and affecting it's centre of gravity, smart and they won't expose the cheating but cheat better lol. That should make for an interesting next episode, still sad they lost though.

Manager should've let toua to play the first match.

And can't match officials discover that fake knuckleball by seeing the replay again and again.

I don't get why the manager didn't use Toua in the game. The only reason I can think of is that the series against the Blue Mars has begun a day or two after the last game against the Bugaboos so Toua needs to rest.

Somehow I think Toua is right, but on the other hand, cheating is cheating and there wasn't really a way to find it out..

I suppose that beating them in their own game would be a more permanent solution than to expose them for their cheating. It's definitely a good idea to win against the devilish Blue Mars team in their own home turf even if they're cheating, that's for sure!

While Tokuchi is smart, yes, his intelligence is incredibly emphasized by making his teammates ridiculously stupid and naive — their very existence is there just to make Tokuchi look better, which is a detriment to my enjoyment with this show. Tired of hearing them continually go "oh my god" with open mouths every time our Messiah Tokuchi utters a word of wisdom.

I only have one gripe about this show. Toua's teammates are shown to be really naive and stupid to emphasize his intelligence.
Anyway, I hope they defeat BlueMars decisively.
