@amlg Just because she is not human does not yet cancel her MC status. She is the central character and POV of the story.

That's what I'm saying. It was pretty bad at first but it's getting better so I expect my score will improve if it continues to do better, and I can expect the same about many users. My score right now has been teetering around a 5 and a 6 but was about a 4 for a while. If it keeps getting better I expect I'll give it about a 6 or 7 for a pretty good anime overall. However, it all depends on how it goes going forward--for all I know the last several episodes could be horrendous.

Well, personally, I'm not very motivated by this show, but I will only watch it after the finale. I think that such shows give a better experience when viewed in one gulp.

You're probably right about that, but I personally would end up never watching it if it wasn't part of my weekly episode routine. This isn't my typical type of anime so I doubt I'd willingly pick it out of the thousands of other completed anime that would be more interesting to me.

Well, your words make sense. It’s also easier for me to watch such shows while airing than to watch in full condition. Therefore, if I'm not sure, I periodically read the discussions and watch some scenes to understand my desires.

DAMN it's devastating seeing Mangetsu being a doll, with a purpose to satisfy Shingetsu's cries. The whole magic universe that banks on her power that is Magiaconatus.

For Kuon, it's more of finding her sister's direction, the path that has been laid out for her. The path that leads to her history with Suishou, all the torment that bonds them together. BUT...Suishou being her sadistic sekf, Kuon is human, just like her and Shingetsu, the only rightful ones to be the Princeps mage. Even she, like Anna lost in Magiaconatus, their entire existence erased is a revelation in and of itself.

Mangetsu being a doll (once again) satisfies my hunger and thirst for an even darker Madoka Magica. All those memories and emotions...that are once existent and now gone. Now she's not the MC anymore...Granbelm, or Magiaconatus is becoming more of a battleground of beliefs rather than raw power.

And who to ask than Suishou, who knows all these all too well. The Princeps part FINALLY MADE ALL THE WORTH, and Suishou is looking for someone sane to prove her wortha s the Princeps mage.

EVERYTHING IS BUT A TEST. A LIE. A well thought-out game of deceitfulness.

Mangetsu meeting face to face with Kuon's older sister...?

The set-up continues to find solace for Mangetsu next episode. Finding her place in Magiaconatus and all, now I'm pretty excited.

WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THAT BABADOOK LIKE FIGURE???
Seriously though, that black creature Suishou became into was Creepy as Hell. She's obviously not human, but I hope they make a good explanaition for her existence, and what she truly is.

Damn, the fact that Mangetsu is actually a doll has been foreshadowed numerous times in the previous episodes but the execution of it was still pretty stellar. Heartbreaking to see how even her (former-) family couldn't make out her existence though, magic has done some real mess here. Just give the poor girl some magic lol. I'm expecting Mangetsu to disappear in exchange to Shingetsu's wish, but it really hit me now as to why she's always been so selfless when it comes to Shingetsu openly proclaiming how she wants to support and make true her wish more than anything else.

I'm confident Shuisou isn't a human being either, judging from her conversation with Shingetsu and that final moment before Kuon's demise. Good lord, that black creature appearing and haunting Shingetsu there was super creepy, the Psychology in this episode was magnificent as a whole! Shingetsu being favoured by magic was clearly revealed during Anna's focus but yikes who would've thought it'd be to this insane extent.

Kuon's sister makes a surprise return, meanwhile. Lol, this show really isn't holding back against the viewers for sure. i wonder what that's all about, did the sisters somehow link/merge with each other or something of the sort?

Nice little moment with Nene and her sisters there too! To answer to Nene's whirl of thoughts, I really wonder what Magiconatus and co. are really up to here? Conveniently just 'killing' certain players sounds quite ominous, hopefully the next 2/3 episodes (definitely not another cour considering how things seem to be heading to a climax next episode) will be just about enough to clear all that plus a lot more up.

A shocking episode full of revelations. It was a bad end to this battle, I really believed that Kuon would win after how great he did, how the hell did Suishou survive? Oh sure magic. Damn !, that b * tch is irritating, he deserved to lose ... who would say she would become so important in history.
Now we know something more about Magiaconatus, his intervention in reality is dangerous and detestable.
Although I weakened Mangetsu as the protagonist, I now understand why he was so strong, and his reality seemed very sad. Knowing this, his reason for fighting at Granbelm no longer seems absurd, it made a lot of sense. In truth, she was empty and had nothing. Poor dear.
On the other hand, the origin of Shingetsu remains a mystery, we only know that she is Magiaconatus' favorite. I would be very surprised if she was also a creation of Magiaconatus to use it for her own benefit.
Wow! It really was a very sudden turn, this story exceeded my expectations, for the moment. The next episode will be sad, it smells like sacrifice.

Does anyone understand the Ernesta hair change thing? It made her look a look like the first eliminated character. Im kinda unsure about that can someone clear that up for me.

Mangetsu is a doll.
I don't know why I'm not shocked.
I really don't know. It wasn't a bad episode but the plot twists are boring me.

"Omg I'm not human, I don't even live" sounds very similar to Sayaka's breakdown in Madoka Magica when she said "I'm a zombie & this body doesn't belong to me" (or something along those lines)

Btw calling this show equal to Madoka is a disgrace. Madoka is a masterpiece. Granbelm on the other hand... it's not very enjoyable for me.

The battles are a mess. Just random flashing lights flying around. I don't like any of the characters & there's only 3 eps left.

I decided to watch this since it was underrated, but let's be honest guys this is a decent show. Not the best anime I've ever seen. Until now it deserves a 7

Got my expectations surpassed, was expecting them to reveal something alone the line she being the source of Magiaconatus itself, like in a representation of that being in the human world, something cheesy like that... this was much better, and definitely complicates things to another degree.
Sweet~~

Holy bananas what was that ?! I didn't expect this show to become so horrific.
Suishou's terrifying, what exactly happened when she was talking to Shingetsu, did she turn into a demon or what ?! (It kinda looked like the Cheshire Cat though, I can't help but finding it funny. Wait, what if that is on purpose ? She has some cat-like gimmicks after all...) I hope there'll be some kind of explanation and that it wasn't just for the sake of creepiness.
But Suishou's definitely an entertaining villain, that's great. I wonder what she truly is though. For now I have four theories :
-She is the Magia...Magus Conatus... Uh... That magic god thing y'know (yes I forgot the name). But this theory is the least likely.
-She is herself a puppet created by someone, just like Mangetsu. That would explain things but at the same time there's some stuff that doesn't work.
-She is the opposite of the Magus thing, a kind of devil. That would explain why she turned into a weird demon at some point.
-She is someone hated by the Magus thing in opposition of Shingetsu. But that doesn't really work...
Well, I don't at all know where things are going but I am definitely intrigued. I hope they'll give Suishou a good backstory.
Now with Mangetsu, I was right, she's a puppet. I didn't expect Shingetsu to be the creator though. But now it's starting to go way too far with the suffering, it reminds me way too much of a certain show but I know I shouldn't compare them. (But let's be fair : they're not helping their case.)
As for the rest, Kuon's dead apparently, to be honest I didn't care about her so her death doesn't make me feel anything, however it's interesting to see how she is also being forgotten now. But now what is going on with her sister, she isn't cursed anymore ? Well, the next ep will provide the answer apparently.
But there's still one thing I don't get : why does Mangetsu's family suddenly forgets her ? I mean, she's not dead, so what is provoking that ? Could it be Suishou's doing ?

I'm so glad I chose to watch it, I was reluctant at first because I'm not fond of the loli character design, but who cares now, the anime is awesome.
Here's a pic which deserves to be seen by all, best tilt in anime

so the game was rigged from the start and shingetsu is between a hammer and a hard place, mangetsu is just a doll and who knows what suishou is and how can she teleport like that, is she even human, what are her plans? Big sister appearing there at the end, and rip to kuon, the battle was full of twists, you couldn't see who was the winner until the end

I knew Shingetsu and Mangetsu sharing the character for "moon" wasn't just a coincidence. That's way too specific, and the characters even explicitly mention it in episode 1.

I had figured out the general idea behind this twist a few episodes ago, but it was still nice to see, and the impact it had on Mangetsu.

What a twist. So, both Mangetsu and Suishou were created by Magiaconatus.

Poor Mangetsu.

Yo I was NOT expecting that...like Mangetsu to be a doll and not actually be alive? And without magic she'd disappear? Damn. Now if she tries to help Shingetsu with her wish, she'll ultimately get erased :( Back and episode 2 or something she was saying how she's really a nobody, how she has nothing, and how she feel like nothing would happen to the people around her disappeared but...that's all so true because she's just a puppet who was forged by magic. Sheesh.

Maybe Kuon is alive through her sister. Like, Suishou said she'd make the two of them one, so maybe Kuon got erased but her spirit is still with her sister or something
