Both shares alot of similarity especially in terms of characters and setup except this has more adventure. The character designs looks faithful to original so all okay. But what worries me is that if the story will really holds up since there are tropes that haven't aged well and very 90s. They have to modify at a level of how recent great remake shows have been doing like DC or Dororo that really depends on director. I really wish this will turn out great! Wouldn't it be more like Kaze no Stigma was an Orphen 2.0? (since it came out a long time earlier) Anyhow, I think these remakes of older series have been doing really well. Fruit's Basket, for one, has done really well! I think that it definitely does the original series justice. I reckon that a lot of people might be confused if they already saw the older series (dubbed)... Since the dub was so crazy edited and such. Like the new CardCaptor Sakura series-- people that only saw the dubbed version, got SOOOO confused about a lot of things. :) I hope so too! This was one of the series I watched growing up, so I look forward to this remake. |

Thanks for sharing, this trailer made the new anime Orphen so promising, since the first season from the original was very good I expect this one will be better, hopefully as long the pace of the story is well developed. :) |

| Finally a continuation to a 90s series that keeps the same designs of the original show (besides Dragon Ball), never been really a fan of "modernizing" designs because "time-has-passed", because "innovation". Didn't like it with Digimon, didn't like it with CCS, and hated it with Sailor Moon Crystal. Totally in for this! I think I will have to rewatch the first 90s series though, don't remember many details of it. |
