That last frame with Ash in the wheelchair was disturbing to some degree.

I feel like at this point, whatever Golzine was trying to do with Ash is totally illogical and immature for someone with his level of fame and power. What this means for me.. the story development has weaken moderately in my perspective.

Nice. It's really good to see Eiji toughing up and becoming so much useful . Also seeing Golzine got shot and Yut Lung got his hair pulled like a little bitch satisfied me much. (5/5) !

That mental breakdown Ash had was quite sad. He's clearly going through his last moments if this keeps the same way.

It was a really tense episode but I liked it nevertheless. Sing and Eiji's plan to rescue Ash sounds like it will be something of huge proportions. Ever better now that Cain joins the party. Really looking forward to that.

And regarding Blanca, he looks like a very deep character based on what he might think and consider about Ash's best course of action. This only makes me want to know more about his past and what exactly happened with his wife.

Right now I'm more interested in Blanca and his past than anything else going on in the series. I like the way he keeps clam and collected under any situation.

Dino is forcing Ash to put his brilliant mind to use for evil. Dino says now, instead of Ash selling his body, he is to sell his soul. How evil.

Eiji pays a visit to Yut-Lung to see what happened to Ash. Yut-Lung tells Eiji that every bad thing that’s happening to Ash is Eiji’s fault. The brat even offers a window for Eiji to jump out of. Thankfully, Eiji is done blaming himself. I don’t really get what Yut-Lung’s issue is with Ash and Eiji..

Poor Ash, I feel for him. He’s not even trying to live anymore. According to a doctor, he’s become anorexic. He has a bit of a breakdown in front of Dino, which just leads to more abuse. The fact that Dino wants to become ash’s “father” is just sickening to me. I just want Dino to suffer a slow and agonizing death. That monster deserves it for what he’s put Ash through.

After a little bit of blackmail, Blanca has decided to work for Yut-Lung. Though, only to protect him. Guess it’s gonna be hard to touch Yut-Lung now.

Eiji and friends are now creating a plan to go and save Ash from Dino. The only chance they’ll have is during a big party. Let’s see if they pull through.

This was one strong episode, the way Ash went into a mental breakdown as he brutally and extremely graphically was describing what it was like to be used as a mere sex toy by Papa Dino was so depressing and eye soring, it only made my hatred for him grow to an unmeasurable level, God how horrible sick baster he is.
Yut-Lung being that fishy, I'm betting my hopes on him deliberately setting up for the whole assassination attempt just so that he draws Blanca into submitting to him.
Looks like they are preparing for the end game, this is going to be wild, we might have a lot of losses this arcx alone. The whole first hotel party thing is giving me some strong Hitman (the video game) level vibes.

Another heartbreaking episode for Ash. He looks dead. I would like to strangle Yut Lung for even using Blanca. Why does he hates Eiji so much? Damn him. And I hope Blanca will not harm Ash or Eiji bcs I'm gonna hate this whole anime if it will happen. Good thing Sing and Cain is with Eiji. I'm excited to see the next episode even my heart hurts so much.

Poor Ash, the scene of him breaking down was very powerful and sad to watch. I don't know what to say anymore... Dino is a sick bastard, that's what he is, but then I understand how desperate he is for Ash because he was groomed to be a successor. I see.

I didn't plan to marathon the whole thing because I thought these stuff needs to be savored but I just can't help myself. I'll just marathon to the very end...

I'm glad Ash bit Golzine when he kissed him. What a nasty ass.

Seeing Eiji take the lead to save Ash is awesome and his only hope. I'm not quite sure if this anime will end, tbh. I could see something bittersweet, but with the way Shorter died, I'm a tad stressed.

Psst, why is no one admiring Yuuma Uchida for his performance in this particular episode? His breakdown scene gotta be one of the best of Yuuma Uchida, the emotions just flew out and it was HEART breaking.

I was about to say that, Yuuma Uchida is a very talented voice actor and I'm loving everything of his Ash

This episode really broke me, it was beautiful still painful and I just can't stand seeing Ash like that... I'm hoping Sing, Eiji and all the others manage to rescue him but I'm afraid it won't end happily

ash now has acute anorexia after all the shit we've seen him go through; that breakdown where he started laughing made me feel so bad for him. dino is honestly deranged, 'adopting' ash?? isn't he of legal age though? idk but regardless he's messed up

GOT DAMN this shit is dragging.

Golzine literally threatens to kill Ash in every episode. Good grief, it's kind of losing its impact by this point. And does he want to kill Ash, adopt Ash, fuck Ash, or make Ash his successor? I mean Jesus Christ it's exhausting.

RIP Skip. RIP Shorter. This show died when you both died.

As a manga reader, I was very, very curious to see if Ash's remarks to Golzine would be kept or removed due to time constraints.

Even though I saw it coming, I still wasn't prepared. The manga paints his remarks as more... even-toned, I suppose, closer to thinly-suppressed rage. I absolutely didn't expect Ash to have a complete meltdown the way he did in the anime, but I think this is one of those times where the anime is better than the manga.

It's fucking haunting. Uchida and the animators deserve extra kudos for perfectly conveying Ash's trauma. Just. Holy shit.

I am taking forever to finish Banana Fish, it’s so hard to watch Ash suffer. I just can’t bring myself to binge it. It also doesn’t seem like a happy ending kind of show. Ash deserves all the good things but sadly it’s very clear nothing good will happen to him. He can never catch a break. It’s suffocating watching this.

Eiji looking so pumped up to be part of a plan. So glad to see Cain again too!!!!! And Yut Lung & Sing’s dynamics are hilarious. Sing's going to be him burst a blood vessel or something lololll

This episode is fucking dark but I know the stage is being set for more gruesome things. I really think that Yut Lung is just jealous of Ash and Eiji. Ash already gave him what he want but he still wants to mess things between Ash and Eiji. He's just another Golzine's pawn for me.

i feel like there were many points in this show where it could have ended for good. its this neverending repeating pattern: ash gets caught -> golzine says his 4 common lines -> ash frees himself -> they get eiji or someone else involved -> ash returns and gets himself caught again -> 4 common lines -> gets freed or frees himself -> moment of relief for everyone -> ash gets caught again -> ...

my 2 fav characters were literally also skip and shorter hahaha especially shorter. i felt like he had a really interesting role in this anime and his character hasnt been stretched out for too long. he had his 5 very good mins and then he died but at least he hasn't become a caricature of himself. i think this anime should just end with everyone dying lol, because in the real world the trouble doesnt rly end with killing the mafia boss. i'm assuming that ash will somehow save himself and go to japan with eiji, but lets see.
