i love violet evergarden it made me cry more times then i can count, have you seen the movies? they are really good as well.

ive been hooked on this series called Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You ITS SO CUTE i cant get enough it, i think that a lot of series were inspired by it, theres alot of momments that remind me of komi cant communicate maybe a littlie to much hahaha.

oh yeah? aside from the time period (war in Iraq vs war in Vietnam) and like character designs? there is a bit more detail and some plot points in a 19-volume manga they couldn't necessarily fit in a 24-episode anime, of course, but for the most part the anime is an incredibly faithful adaptation. kudos to them, and the entirety of that franchise screams 'girl power!', and i love that.
not because there are many female characters, as you know, but:
- yoshida akimi, obviously
- uryu kyoko, a.k.a. the producer who submitted the proposal at aniplex and thanks to whom the anime was made, who’s also responsible for promo strategy and bringing the staff together who made the anime
- utsumi hiroko, the series director
- hayashi akemi, the character designer & chief animation director
- makita kaori, storyboarder & episode director for some of the series' most important episodes

and i know for a fact there are more female animators & directors whose names aren't prolific enough to appear on MAL's database.
ANYWAY, the manga is definitely an accomplished work of art & a feat in storytelling, plus you get prequel & sequel side stories which given even more depth to ash & a satisfying backstory to blanca, shorter, as well as some closure for eiji.

are you reading or have you read the manga? i first watched the anime in Aug 2023, but only read the manga Nov 2024, and it is a masterful work

Same! I had planned to watch so much but ended up wasting my time as always lol. I really need to stop procrastinating. Now my break is almost over. Wish I had seen more but I still have some time. Let's see.

Thanks for saying my manga selections are interesting haha. I would say yours are, but I'm not a fan of Chainsaw Man lol. I'm very interested in reading Tokyo Ghoul and I also really enjoyed Killing Stalking, though. :)
