So to the people who have seen this, is it good? Many people were concerned that the sequel was unnecessary. Also being a movie instead of a series increased the apprehension of it being rushed. So without spoilers, how was the movie overall?

I second that! If you saw the movie, please tell us a bit more about what you think! Was it worth the wait? Does it seem to actually bring closure to the story, or is there material for sequels?
Everything changes. Even the happy and funny things eventually disappear. How can I still enjoy this place then?

Haven't seen it personally but according to people who have, it's a favourable movie with logical storyline and a satisfying ending. Something worth looking forward to.

It brings closure to the story of Lelouch. They leave the door open for more Code Geass series, but there will be totally new main characters coming into play if it does happen. No guarantees, though.

Oh, by the way, the movie is a sequel of the three remake movies instead of the tv series to be exact. There are minor differences between the two versions, but there wouldn't be too much of an impact if you haven't seen the remake movies.

Well they are remakes and shorten into movies so many of the less important events were left out. There are lists people put together summarizing all the changes. Most of them don't matter too much to the main plot but there are MANY of them.

Neat. Thanks. Guess I'll just watch the three.

It has an interesting plot and some good ideas. I was kinda scared before reading this, but now i'm a little bit relieved. (and i'm still waiting for a release date in France :'( )

Overall, it seems that no big mistake was made. However, I am not going to get any spoilers in hope to be surprised in the end. The worst part is the wainting, btw.

without spoiling anything i would say that the movie was really enjoyable if you watched the recap movies and love code geass entirely. The ending or this alternate ending definitely had everything the fans would ever want as it closes most of the open holes and things fans wanted to know about.

Dont know why anyone would say its unnecessary because if they dont like it they can simply ignore it but alas atleast the movie looks really good

More Lelouch is always a plus, just wish it was longer

Sorry to say that (I really am as a CG fan) but it's not good at all. Feels like a low quality filler. Randomly gathered all the well-knows characters together just to forcibly bring the nostalgia there, ignored the original series (both facts and style) and added some ridiculous plot twists.

It is a huge disappointment to me as the fan of the original series.

I thought it was a decent little movie. I am a fan of the property myself and genuinely enjoyed watching it.

There's nothing wrong with having the cast of characters meet up again after ten years had passed without seeing all of them in the same narrative.

I didn't think they ignored any facts from the original ideas for the story, but I guess that at this point I am more interested in what will happen next, rather than looking back.
