I liked the love scene. And thats coming from a manga reader. I expected them to just show them kissing and then fade to black but they actually showed a good portion of the scene from the manga. It sucks that we couldn't hear the dialogue but they made up for that what with the music and flashback sequence of their relationship. It gave me some good feels:)

Wow. This infamous chapter I've heard so much about... It was good, albeit a little cringy.

But what struck me is Uta's role as part of Washu; the director and him did look alike -which I realised a while back, but I didn't link them two further than that.
Other than that, who'd have thought that ghouls and humans were so inherently different to the extent they have their own customs... Probably even a religion.

And here I was assuming that they were going to interpret Jesus's bread in place of flesh as actual flesh, and his blood as wine as actual blood culminating with them saying Jesus and his disciples were ghouls and how kaneki became crazy powerful for eating ghouls, his disciples would receive the power of Jesus.
But that wasn't the case.

It is believable though, An oppressed group finding solace in their own beliefs; however, I've always been if the view that the evolution of ghouls was as natural as humanity and they've been going forward in the same way.

Not to mention that Toukax Kaneki relationship doesnt make much sense in the anime, since they cut off even the most Touka-Kaneki moment from the very first season. (Not to mention the rest of the TG animes, where in the manga they trained together, fought together or Kaneki brought present to Touka it was all left out from the anime).

So after that at least anime watchers got a sex scene without any proper built up relationship or reason.

Yeah on to the next part of the series where the author purposefully drove the manga into the ground all because he decided not to take breaks and wanted it to become a trainwreck. Who knows maybe the studio adapted the first part badly because they saved up to flesh out the ending.

sad to say that i have to agree here. but the adaption's always been shit and it's prolly gonna continue to be a trainwreck sadly...

holy fuck this was so anticlimactic. the transitioning from fighting, to marriage, to sex, to drama and to marriage again. like, who even gives a shit what's going on? who gives a shit who are those bike gang ghouls? nobody, obviously. everyone's here just for that sex slide show smh

The "ghouls" with the bike were the oggais, part of the New generation Quinx Furuta showed at the end of the last episode. The rushed aspect of this adaptation doesn't help but you're not really paying attention either.

This episode just left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, I liked seeing Kaneki and Touka's relationship progress (Touka asking if Kaneki was a virgin was amazing), but on the other hand, I feel like so much is being left out the plot. Like do they expect us to accept Tooru's madness over Kaneki just by showing a split second of a picture with a knife through his face? It just felt out of place, much like this entire season so far. I understand there are only 12 episodes to cover so many chapters until the end, but still, how much can you rush a story? I am scared to see how the last episodes are going to go as there is still so much to cover. It's just sad to see the series I enjoyed reading end up like this. But the romantic ships are happening so who cares right?

Also, as other people have said, I wish that for the sex scene they just showed the kiss and then the ending embrace rather than the awkward slideshow because that scene just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Fading out would be a pussy move in general. The slideshow was a compromise since they know it's a believed chapter that fans wanted to see adapted but if they put any actual motion in the scene, it would become hentai.

Right, so far my posts have been pretty negative about the series...
this is a slight exception but for the most part, still negative.

First, the things they did poorly..
The pacing is still atrocious; what's the point in rushing through each little part leaving no time for any real scenes to take place? There's scenes that would have benefited so much from just having a few more seconds between lines instead of just bullrushing each line immediately after the other. There's so much backstory that is just non-existent because they cut it all out and just ignore the massive gaps of information that people don't have unless they've read the manga. They continuously cut out important events from the story to keep up with this stupid fucking pace that they've set for the show. I could go on forever with all the things I hate about this season, but I realize nobody really gives a shit about what I say on here, so on with the good stuff.

TOUKA X KANEKI
Holy shit, I didn't think they'd actually animate it and they did that so fucking well. The first half of the episode was pretty solid, with the Mitsuki scene being a bit meh, but the big scene between touka and kaneki was amazing imo, the soundtrack they played with the flashbacks was just perfect, and then the wedding scene(yorikos) was also pretty good, obviously missing a bit but the dialog between touka and kaneki was solid.

Probably going to be the best episode of the season imo, I don't see chapter 125 being topped.

This week on Tokyo Ghoul:Re season 2,

Still frame adaptation of that Kaneki x Touka Doujinshi you read one day. Not complaining though. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Better than putting in more of that story thing that makes no sense.

Also in today's episode, a random wedding between characters I don't know and Touka's pregnant!!? Come on Kaneki, you shouldn't be that surprised. XD

5 episodes to go.

After being disappointed with the previous episodes, I did not think they would adapt the famous chapter 125, but they did and I felt a small positive change compared to the previous 6 episodes.
In short, Kaneki and Touka are officially husband and wife and are already on their way to bring a baby to that cruel world in which they live (ohh yes they had sex, small detail). I laughed a lot when Nishiki ruined the news of Touka's pregnancy and Kaneki all desperate to know if Touka was okay, besides the complaints that Touka mentions also made me laugh a lot.
We also had a look at Rize, but just a short look.
The damn Mutsuki always irritated me in the manga and in this episode I found it more irritating, than good that Touka gave her a beating.
It was a bit bittersweet the scene of the marriage of Kaneki and Touka, both happy for the celebration, but then we see Yoriko and Kuroiwa separated by Furuta's caprice and cruelty.
Saiko can´t stand what happens with Yoriko and argues with Urie, but Urie tells her that if they do not find a solution they would become terrorists and save her.

Love was in the air on this episode, congratulations to Ken and Toka on their wedding. But I felt all of this was rushed, had sex, got pregnant and married all at the same time. This proves the writer isn't the romantic type.

So Ken cries when love making, what a lame. :-D :-D .

They took away all the build up to most of the things that have happened here.

Touka and Kaneki are already supposed to know that Yoriko has been captured, and they decide to ignore her. So they wonder if doing what they were doing was really for the best.

The way everything was shown, you'd never realise that they had been planning to go underground for a while, and Mutsuki just happened to find them on their last day in Re.

I am not sure if they kept the time skip or not. It was quite confusing.

Touka and Kaneki's marriage costumes were so pretty in the manga. The anime simplified it in an almost heartbreaking way.

The Kaneki and Touka love scene was so much cuter in the manga. Kaneki was shy and Touka had to take the lead. Plus, Kaneki's thoughts were so innocent.

Hanae Natsuki really made it seem like a comedy anime in this episode. In the manga, the pregnancy related scenes were like a tiny moment of happiness during a stressful time.

They skipped over the Oggai, didn't they?

I saw Dragon in the preview of the next episode. It's still too early for that!!

I kind of feel bad for Kaneki because Touka only made her move when he become big and the king. #golddigger

Not true.
They skipped the parts when Touka trained Kanki, also the part when Touka asked Renji to train them. Or the part when Touka asked Kaneki to help out sneak into the CCG.

So basically the anime skipped like 3/4 of the interactions that Kaneki and Touka originally had in the manga.

If you want porn you can watch a hentai.
For me plot and story, characters >>> sex scenes.

Not that this scene alone would had any effect on the overal score of the series. It got fucked hard from the 2nd season. (Or maybe even before that when Pierrot decided to touch it).

They trained together back in season 1 I think, it didn't show it fully but it showed that they trained together a little.

That sneaking part was cut but it was more of a lore dump about the how the CCG worked rather than any romantic moment.
