| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- We got the Opening song this week! Pretty stylish and catchy with a variety of characters featured in it. I'm guessing this season will have at least 3 different theme songs. Freek'N You is the ED theme. Looks like we got more scenes of Bruno, Giorno, and Stand action. Those battle cries really bought out some of their personalties especially Bruno. Gold Experience is still pretty cool to watch. Quite a bit of chapters adapted already. I believe this is already up to Ch 8-9 now. |

| They actually did it and used Jodeci, came out of the left field for me. Opening theme is alright, better than Chase but def. in the lower half of my ranking. However, the background tracks, animation and overall fighting choerography this episode were really nice. We are on a good path so far. |

| The ED they decided to go with is odd. Still think Gangsta's Paradise woulda worked better, but I can see why they didn't go with it. The OP is pretty interesting, too. Not the best. Kinda disappointed it's not 3D like the PB/BT/SC OPs, but it still looks pretty great. Wish Mista made more of a role in it, though. Best Boy keeps getting the shaft. Also, quite chuffed that they expanded on Giorno's backstory. The anime-only content has been pretty great so far, and not just filler like in DiU. |

| Dope opening, pretty much the bestexcluding the ones from DiU ending is fire too. The episode itself was greato as well. I love how this show doesn't need much build and is still able to deliver an exciting watch. |

| Just out-fucking-standing animation. And we're only at episode 2! I expect a dip in quality towards the middle of the series like most productions nowadays, but the hopeful part of me wants this series to stay at this level. This episode just reinforces what everyone expected: Jojo part 5, at this level of quality, is AOTS and a damn good candidate for AOTY. |

| The OP didn't get me quite as hyped as I'd like to be but it's still excellent, especially in terms of visuals. The colors, animation and symbolism were beautiful. The episode itself was great too! The fight was well animated, interesting and as wonderfully bizarre as it was in the manga and the things they added were welcome additions. Loving it so far. The ED... is certainly an interesting choice... it does help to calm me down from the hype of the episode but I'm not sure how it connects to the story of part 5. lol It's weirdly growing on me though, not sure why. |

| Amazing OP as expected from JoJo. I haven't heard Jodeci all that much but interesting choice for an ED I guess. Anwyay, great episode this week. Great battle overall, amazing animation and we got to learn more about Giorno's past and goals. I really love this a lot more than the manga already. |

| Gosh, the fight of Giorno against Bruno was good in the manga, but somehow DavidPro managed to made it even better. Visuals, OST, voice acting, holy fuck, they did a stellar work. Loved especially God Experience "Mudas" through the episode, dispelled some of my worries towards certain scene that will happen much, much later. Seriously, if the anime keeps this level of quality, it will probably become the best JoJo adaptation so far. Cannot forget about the appearence of Zipper Man Sticky Fingers. Zippers never looked that badass before. We also got to the first stage of Giorno in his dream to be a Gang Star and lead Italy to a better path, allying himself with Bruno. The true adventure will have to wait a bit to start, but what will come next will be cool too. About the OP/ED, I like the visuals of the opening a lot, but the song is so far the only JoJo opening song I didn't like. Hope I get used to it as the series advances (though they will probably change it and will make 2 opening mores like they did with DiU). The ending was amusing as heck, kinda like Walk Like an Egypyian with SC. On another note, interesting they also included Goten_ssj3 said: That's the only thing I didn't liked of the episode. It was such memetic material.Great episode and great opening. But too bad they didn't do any narration on "And Giorno lied". Baring that, Giorno's flashback was adapted nicely. Almost get me emotional, even. The way the gangster changed Giorno's life for the good after he saved his life and influenced his mentality for a good (though violent) path touched me deeply. It also shows us how ruthless Giorno can be despite being a nice guy most of times. And that's only the beginning. |

| I like how colorful the opening is. Bruno vs Gio was nicely animated here. The ending song is a weird choice. I'd prefer it if Gangsta's Paradise was the ending song instead. |

| OP was good but it lacks that Jojo-ness to it. Otherwise, a phenomenal episode. Very emotional, visuals were outstanding, the zipper stand powers were very creative and only JoJo can use zippers like that. Brilliant stuff. |

| The OP is pretty nice. Not as good as some other ones, but I still like it. I love Bruno and his stand a whole lot. Thank God they didn't go with Blue-no. Giorno is lots of people's least favorite JoJo, but I really like him. He's a mix of both Jonathon and Dio, with the sense of justice of Jonathon and the ruthlessness of Dio. The animation is really good, and some of the movement issues from last episode seem to have been fixed. Very excited for the next episode. |

| The ED sounds like an R&B song lol, I dig it xD The OP however is pretty great though Seeing Giorno's history was pretty sad yet uplifting, and I really like the fact that he was able to see the joys of life and is now trying to do something good for his city via becoming like the man that saved him (I wanna know where this man is today)....I don't see much love for him in the community but personally I like him a lot already The fight with Bruno was awesome and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what all Giorno's Stand could really do and boy was I not disappointed....Both of them have really powerful Stands so that was quite the battle to watch I'm glad that Bruno is a good guy though because I'd hate to see him die so early....That and I kinda like the dynamic between him and Giorno, so it'll be fun to see their relationship grow, especially since they're gonna take down this evil gang together Overall, another great episode and I'm looking forward to seeing the other people in the gang as well as the boss (Man I hope the boss is a great character too) and whoever that girl was in the OP P.S. Giorno's mom and step-dad are cunts....I wonder if they're still alive though, and I DO wonder how she managed to fuck Dio and live to tell the tale lol |

| Not only is Fighting Gold an absolute banger, but the madmen actually used K-Ci and Jojo for a fucking Jojo Ending. It's over. They somehow found a way to make one of the least liked Jojo parts into the best Jojo part. |
| The OP video was great. David Production really put a lot into it, was impressive. The song... I hope that it grows on me. Was certainly a step down from Bloody Stream but I want to give it more of a chance. I feel like they could have presented Giorno's backstory better. All respect to the narrator guy but it went on a bit too long for that format to work imo. It would've been better if they dropped us into it and let us take away from it rather than having the narrator explain the significance of things. Idk, that's just what I thought. Then when it got back to Giorno and Bruno, was pretty good. Very interesting and complex stands these are. I'm looking forward to meeting more of the main cast. The ED was not good. Music preference is subjective of course, but that was some pretty lousy 90s R&B/Soul/etc. The English lyrics don't work for it (wow, the first line). I don't enjoy it, and the video is very basic. Just a boring side-sweeping one with stylised colours and lighting effects. |

| Surprised they actually went with Freek'N You, but I can't say I don't love how it contrasts the dramatic OP(which is growing on me more with every listen, GOD I love Coda) though I can see it causing some awkward tonal whiplash if they stick with it for the entire run. The episode itself was pretty great too! Gave weight to Giorno's goal and highlights why he has such an introverted nature compared to previous JoJos. Watching him and Bucciarati one-up other was equally fun and tense also is it me or is the sound design noticeably improved this season |

| I got to say the opening felt mysterious of what is to come. The ending felt co cool and old school. The MC's objective goal seems interesting. |
| I didn't enjoy this episode nearly as much as the first. The exposition and Gio's backstory were trite and ham-handed, and the reconciliation scene (with the cathartic background music and overdone soft voice acting) just made me roll my eyes. I imagine I'll be in the minority on this one. Hopefully, I'll be back in line next week, because I really want to like this season. |
