I can already see she's got a cold facade and probably knows more than she lets on. Otherwise she would have reacted differently to Anteaterina. Also I noticed Fakir didn't even watch Ahiru and Rue dance, yet he was the first one to start clapping which set off the rest of the class. Funny prospects await Ahiru if her secret is revealed |

| This show is very adorable. Yet I'm starting to think that there being humanoid animals there takes away a bit of the effect of her being a duck. Anyway, I am kind of suspicious of Rue too. She seemed so nice for a while, but were those anteaters memories true, or just her inhibitions manifested? Anyway, I guess I'll find out! |

| Ahiru's blonde friend is hilariously strange. Woah an Anteaterina, now I've seen it all. The dances were really nice to watch, I wonder what the deal is behind Rue though. This series continues to draw me in with its strange and unpredictably wondrous take on fairy tales. |

| A giant anteater doing ballet was kind of disturbing to be honest. I wonder if they're really animals though (Cat sensei and Anteaterina). I hope Rue's not evil. I already like her :3 |

| Lol an anteater xD Haha this episode was pretty funny. Ahiru had the most awkward conversation with Mute at the beginning. Also, it looks like write the complicated process to transform into a human from a duck. As far as the magical girl aspects go, I'm a tiny bit disappointed. I was hoping for more magical powers to be used rather than just dancing to purify the hearts of others. It's only the second episode, though, so who knows how she'll use her powers in the future. And geez Rue is such a big bully! "You'll never be as good as me, anteater." How condescending! |

| Interesting episode, indeed. Looking forward to learning more about this world. On a side note, I think that the (Japanese) voice acting for Ahiru suits her character perfectly. I love the way her voice breaks. |

Both Fakir and Rue are quite mysterious as in they seem to have a deeper knowledge of the stuff happening around them. The episode clearly states that Mytho is the prince. Really interesting how concerned Fakir got at the end when Mytho uttered 'Feelings'. Through these past two episodes, we've seen Fakir reminding Mytho regularly that he's not supposed to feel anything. Assuming Mytho/the prince gets back all the broken shards of his heart, it would also result in the spell acting upon the Raven to be broken. So, Fakir's constant concern could mean he doesn't want the seal to be broken and the Raven be released. Just a theory... Its not entirely impossible to assume that Ahiru is one of many such human/animal entity. It could be that Anteaterina is just a normal girl like Ahiru in front of the town, but an Anteater on the story just like Ahiru is a duck. By extending your point, if one assumes that only one human/animal entity can view the true form of another such entity, that also explains why Ahiru exclaimed as she saw Cat-'sensei' in episode 1(since she could see him as a cat unlike others, bit forgot about the fact that she was a duck). Mere speculations aside, there were three important elements in relation to the setting discussed in the show. First, reality and fantasy has merged in the town, creating a surreal feeling (portrayed with expertise in the anime so far). Secondly, Princess Tutu, like other mahou shoujo anime, portrays the 'shard of the the prince's heart of the week' theme. It's likely that the next few episodes will continue with this theme. Finally, the quote about destiny from Edel really intrigued me. Probably at some point Ahiru has to make some sort of choice about remaining as Princess Tutu or not... |

| How many people skipped the backstory intro prior to the OP? I ask because although it initially looks the same, it's actually not a repeat from the first episode. Additional backstory was revealed saying that the spreading of the prince's heart shards around the town caused reality and story to mingle, and thus make the fantastical not-fantastical. The pre-opening intros may continue to reveal more as we progress, so I won't be skipping them. Anyway, I think the animal people appearing normal to everyone but Ahiru is a decent possibility, though it's hard to be certain. I find it interesting that she's literally a duck and those dreams of hers weren't dreams at all. I'm currently thinking that either Fakir or Rue may be the sealed Ravin, but again it's hard to say for now. |

| Can't say I was expecting to feel bad for a dancing anteater going into this, but here I am, and I'm quite liking it so far. I think I have a grasp on most of the characters' roles except for Edel, can't figure out why she's here at all yet. |
| Okay so Drosselmeyer is the writer of the story (which explains why he seems to have so much control over this world), Mytho is the prince (well, that was obvious) and the reason so many surreal things happen is because the barrier between the fantastic and the reality has been broken. Mytho is completely emotionless because his heart's fragments are scattered all over the country, and they seem to find shelter in people who would need them at the moment. I wonder how Mytho will behave now that he can feel humiliation and hatred. Also, I wonder who Fakir is. Maybe he is the raven ? Another thing, the contrast between Ahiru and Princess Tutu is very noticeable, does Princess Tutu represent who Ahiru aims to be and can become ? After all a lot of things hint at Ahiru not playing any big part in the original story, but having to create her own story in order to become the heroine. And finally, the presence of anthropomorphic animals is definitely weird, it probably has something to do with Drosselmeyer but it's surprising that no one other than Ahiru seems to be bothered by that. |

| Meh, I'm not yet hooked on the show. I skimmed the rest of the episodes, and it doesn't seem like I will enjoy it. Adorable, inserting premise and great music. Too bad. I'm going to drop the series here.  |

HEART EYESS i care them so much. but wtf is wrong with the guys. there's weird cat teacher, creepy grandpa, moody tall guy and soulless prince. no but really tho i liked rue a lot. i thought she'd be a villain kind of character but thankfully not. and she has the 3rd highest favs? good for her! icb myuuto is so far behind lmao thats not a good sign ... but im def still interested in him ahiru's changing bit with the fountain and all was pretty cute. i hope we see more of green haired lady. and maybe ant eater girl, but in human form hopefully |
