This episode showed once again why Bakugou is such a great character.

Great character in the sense that he's really good at making you absolutely hate him, sure. But he's completely irredeemable. Everything about him screams villain, and I'd be pretty disappointed if he doesn't turn out to become a villain himself a la Stain.

Considering how big of a fan of All Might he is the chances of him becoming a villain are non existent.

All Might is so OP, which is not a surprise, but that was so intense!

Sad that the next time is the finale, especially now that new villains joined the League of Villains.

Needless how much people can hate on Bakugo. Yes, he's an asshole and all but that just means that he has alot of room to grow. Compare Bakugo when the last when Hero academia ends and see how much he will come to grow.

Yes! FINALLY! Someone has said it! THANK YOU!
I mean I'm aware that kachann is an asshole and he's done a lot of horrible things. and I know that not everyone has to like him! but I sincerely believe that his character was set up for growth, and also try to remember HE IS STILL JUST A KID! There's a whole lot of years for him to grow!
Hopefully soon we'll be seeing him become a better person and I think we've already been seeing some of that, even just for a tiny bit.

Y'all have to wait for season 3 and see... haha!

some of the effects were quite nice near the end, still on the side of not hating nor loving Bakgou even till this day
i got thrown off thought it was Nao at first voicing our girl she still sounds good.

Next week is gonna be a big Tease/cliffhanger totally forgot about this arc so i thought we were gonna end on the next one, that's the problem with seasonal seasons for large shounen's you might end up without a eventful finale on the other hand season 3 is gonna start off pretty strong and continue all the way through.

Amazing! I'm very impressed by All Might's attitude, he really tried to be a villain but i think in the end the "failed" a little bit but i also get the fact that he tried to make them work together since it was his main purpose.
Glad that Bakugou finally grew a little bit, at least i hope so.
One more episode, i doubt that we will have a big fight against a strong villain but it would be great to see a confirmation of a 3rd season :D

great episode!! the last three episodes felt a bit sluggish but this one really made up for both of them and more!
it felt both like a battle and therapy session for Deku and Bakugo at the same time
I am really excited about the two new character at the end, once again Horikoshi showing that he knows how to make great character designs

OH BOY. All Might makes one scary as heck bad guy but Deku and Bokugo, though it takes a little while, are finally able to at least work together in their battle against the greatest hero, and managed to pass just barely. Twas an epic and truly amazing battle in my opinion. But all is not well. The villains are gathering and I really want to see them in action. Next episode is gonna good. I know it.

I really do not understand Bakugo's character. He's so far from hero material.
He says he wants to be the best hero, and the only way he measures it is being able to beat other people. Being an actual hero is way more than that.

I honestly wonder if his backstory is just that what has been shown so far, or if there's something much deeper.

He is far from hero material.

But he wants to be the best of the best!

And he compares himself with other people because, in his mind he thinks he cant be beat in a 1v1 fairly with both of them giving it their all. That's why he was mad when Todoriki didn't use his Flame Power.

In that episode he said "I don't care, give it your all" he has that evil/nice guy vibe going on. He really wouldn't kill Deku (I hope), he just wants to win.

And even in this episode alone. He said "he would twist and break his body to win" and while on the floor from All Might, he bit (Bit/bite English is hard xd) his arm.

Dude what are you smoking, it was established from the very beggining that Bakugou wants to become the greatest hero, and it's being brought up over and over again. There is literally no way that he'll become a villain.

Like another poster said here, Bakugo acts nothing like a hero would. It goes beyond the point of being an edgy anti-hero sort of type. Even other characters in the show acknowledge this and have pointed out on more than one occasion that he doesn't act like a hero and at least once said that he behaves like a villain.

Wanting to be the greatest hero is far from all it takes to actually become even a modest everyday hero. And yeah, it's being brought up over and over, it's just as likely that it's setting his character up for a fall from grace (well... a dip in this case) by reinforcing the notion.

Yes, I think that's kind of the point of his character. He is Class 1-A's "Endeavor" type hero who just wants to compete.

He wants to do what society has called "Hero" but doesn't even understand that there is an older notion of the word, conveniently exemplified by every one of the main characters reactions to All Might.

Midoriya wanted to be what All Might is while Bakugo wanted to do what all might does. Essentially, Bakugo gets the What, but not the Why while Deku has had the Why for most of his life, but only got the What at the start of the show.

Boku Hero shows us the world by showing us how people relate to All Might and, by reflection, what they think of the idea of being a Hero or Villain actually means.

Forgive me if this was going to off the deep end, haha, but seeing the parallel between Midoriya and Shigaraki, Shigaraki and Stain, and honestly with Stain vs Deku. The Mangaka really likes to set people up as mirrors to each other while also showing how they are on opposites side of an issue for, sometimes, the flimsiest of reasons.

this episode was amazing as usual!

bakugou is certainly hot headed, and i wish he and izuku would just be friends already because they would be great teammates! bakugou wanted to fight and izuku wanted to run, and i thought they finally learned how to work together when they made a compromise but bakugou is so hard headed smh.

all might is proud of them both regardless, and they passed as well! it was a great episode, showing how strong izuku and bakugou have gotten!

He can make it rain with one punch.
He can carry an army of civilians in his back
He can punch a villain to orbit.

Not surprised, yet another amazing episode! I thought the animation was fantastic. Deku using Bakugo's gauntlet, and Bakugo unleashing those full powered blasts were the highlight of the episode for me. Bakugo reminded me of Midoriya during the tournament breaking so many bones because of his will to win! Sad that next weeks our last episode, let's hope for a s3 announcement and a well timed release.

Bakugo's character is probably one of the more complex ones. He spent his entire life building up a ego to hide his own insecurities, however that ego itself was completely shattered during the first combat training exercise when he not only lost, but found out that he really wasn't the hottest shit around.

Bakugo's world view is almost the inverse of what it actually is. Compliments to him are viewed as patronizing or criticism, Deku trying to be his friend was viewed as a challenge. He views himself as weak so he works ultra hard to not be weak, he puts people down to make him feel better about himself. We know he respects hard work, him calling Ochako by her actual name rather then round face is him acknowledging her, Bakugo only ever calls people by their nicknames unless he respects them.

His facade has been shattered ever since season 1, he has been broken down and is currently rebuilding himself. He is trying to come to grips with a world he previously misinterpreted and its why his growth is the series is the most fascinating to watch.

Good intense fighting between Midoriya and Bakugo versus All Might. Didn't expect All Might to be this frighteningly and overwhelmingly strong but he is number one for a reason. Midoriya does the unexpected once again and saves the day for the two young heroes. Seeing All Might cough up blood though and him struggling in the end really is worrying now that the League of Villians are getting stronger by the day.
Can't wait to see what next week has in store for us. Judging by the next episode's preview, we might be getting a cliffhanger ending so here's hoping for a Season three.

Yeah, I expected another scene with Midoriya vs Todoroki quality, and was a bit disappointed. I haven't read the manga, is there any upcoming scene(this season or otherwise) that you think is better than Midoriya vs Todoroki? No spoilers please

There is a scene that surpasses Deku vs Todoroki by a lot which will happen in Season 3, definitely the highlight of the manga so far. I expect it to cover 2-2.5 episodes of Season 3, but these will imo be by far the best episodes of the anime once they air, as long as the animation stays the same as during this season. Plus the recent events in the manga are also slightly above Deku vs Todoroki level, they come close to what will happen in Season 3, but they won't happen in the anime until Season 4.

THE BIG FIGHT? I just want to see that

It doesn't matter that he doesn't act like a hero, that's something he will have to change in the future in order to become a hero. He's a teenager, so his emotions are kinda all over the place and that's definitely not a permanent thing.
His behavior is an issue, but that doesn't matter, because he has unwavering determination to become a hero and I can't imagine what kind of thing would have to happen to break that determination.

But it does matter that he doesn't act like a hero. It does matter that his behaviour is an issue. It informs his character. It tells us that he lacks several key factors in being a hero. Heck, he lacks several factors in being a decent person, period. Maybe it isn't permanent, we can't say for sure any which way until it happens, but what we can be sure of is this: Bakugo has been an asshole his entire life.

All of Bakugo's stated motivations are based on pride and selfishness. Something that can easily be subverted into villainy.

The only problem with Bakugou is his personality, but leaving that aside, as a hero, even when not calm and happy he does what he has to (except maybe when there is Deku around and he is a little more douchebag than usual), even when edgy is demonstrated that he is not only rage, he decided to not run because it was impossible to run from All might.

Also, in the manga...

So, any episode with Bakugo in it automatically starts at -10, and anything with HandFace in it starts at -100. (Discounted to -50 because he didn't actually talk -- I'm not counting the preview.)

Despite that, All Might and the fight were suitably entertaining so overall it's probably about a 2/10. That's impressive given the character handicap.

Good stuff. Another thing with the Uraraka vs. Bakugo fight was at the end everyone was mad at him for going all out of her "because she's a girl" and "fragile" yet at the end Bakugo said "what's fragile about her?". It was an amazing yet subtle moment for him. Even Eraser Head called out the wack heroes for booing him.

During team combat training, just getting the point headband to get top 4 wasn't enough for him, he wanted "undisputed #1" and those passionate feelings rubbed off to his teammates to push even harder and they perform an amazing collab of quirks.

This episode he wanted to go head to head with All Might from the get go, Midoriya thought it was insane, and rightfully so being the opponent was All Might but his reasoning made sense later as All Might wasn't gonna let them just escape so easily. He even tried tossing Deku at the entrance and pushing his body beyond the limits trying to hold All Might back.

Bakugo not perfect and attitude can be overwhelming but for a shounen character he's interesting to watch play out in this series.

All Might went harder on the students than any other teacher geez, that Midoriya scream when he got hit in the back. All Might also boosted the production of Midoriya x Bakugo doujins this episode too with that monologue breaking down their unusual relationship. I laugh when Midoriya just straight up told Bakugo to stop yelling at him when trying work out a team plan.

Episode was great, guess time to be blue balled next episode for Season 3 hype.

He let them win, just like Aizawa let Todoroki and Momo win. All Might could have easily stopped them, but he chose not to.
