Another reminder that Maetel is more than she seems lest we forget. I disliked the fact that they changed the rules once again, now suddenly the locomotive does keep track of the passengers and the passes, so all those times when people tried to steal Tetsuro's pass were pretty much useless if a simple age discrepancy warrants an investigation by the conductor.

Oh, those passes are registered to one person and if he is missing they return back to planet? Why there has been so much drama about someone stealing Tetsuro's ticket then? Didn't Maetel give some tickets to those ecoterrorist few episodes ago? Are there some tickets that aren't personalized and some that are?

And Maetel was again providing some fanservice, but I wonder what did she show to the old man? She was shown to have human skeleton in that one episode so maybe she can transform her body at will?

They did say in one of the episodes that "Stolen or not, whoever has a pass is a legitimate passenger on the 999." However, one probably has to change the name on the pass first.

This time, there were 16 coach cars

Hmm did they changed the rule regarding the ticket or did I just misunderstood when they last time said something regarding even if it's stolen, the holder of such a ticket would be a legitimate passagen. Either way I do think this has some good point, at least now even if it gets stolen they'll have to do more than just steal the pass.

What I also found really strange is that the train got back even if they left one passenger behind. While it's probably just an easy way out for the story writers to make it possible for Tetsuro to be on board again I still found it weird they also suddenly changed this fact as we did realised if they were too late the train would never get back on that planet until the next train passes.

The ending with Maetel sure was interesting and with that we do know she's definitely not completely human, but with such a reaction I do wonder what she actually is.

Either way this sure was an interesting yet strange episode.

I wondered whether i forgot about Tetsuro getting a named card or whether the writers just fucked up and it seems the latter was true. I also thought it was BS how the conductor came back for Tetsuro.

This episode made all the episodes that were about Tetsuro getting his pass stolen and barely making on time to catch the train a lot worse. Not only does the train now go back for stranded passengers; the tickets are apparently tied to the person.

Well, as others have said, this episode contradicts rules we've seen before. For that, it's a pretty bad episode.

I honestly have no idea, it makes little sense to me that he was so surprised. We've seen Maetel nude in episode 11 (and in another episode where the mysterious voice called her and told her to remove her clothes) and she looked like a normal woman.

Her genitals were of course covered when we saw her nude, so maybe she showed the old man a dick or something. I guess she's a futa now.

So, this confirms it. Maetel has a penis :P

A kinda pointless episode, with no allegory or moral or reason for anything to happen except show Maetel in a skimpy outfit (which I approve of heartily).

The beard guy is a sexist asshole, I kinda wished he had just gotten shot but his horrified reaction certainly gives us something to think about.

I guess it has already been said by everyone else, but it's really annoying that they would just change the rules like this.
Dumb episode.

Inconsistency in a whimsical episodic series such as this isn't a deal-breaker.

And besides, the Maetel fanservice has been recurring more frequently as of late. That's the kind of consistency that matters more than policy 32 or futa Maetel.

It seems that there is something about Maetel's body that is a mystery to the show...

I wonder what the old man saw when Maetel showed him her supposed "true form."

He quickly changed his mind on stopping them.

So what's the (true form) of Maetel....
Each time when they 'shows' a little bit of Maetel secret, I want to know more about her.

Like some already said. So stealing Tetsuro's ticket in the previous episode was (kind of dumb)
If the train also tracks age etc.
Or it's because Tetsuro writted he's name on it. So it became his personal ticket. (Questions...)
