| Acknowledging the fact that the Priest made a lot of mistakes and was generally an idiot, it's nice to see Chopper who considers himself to be a weakling get the confidence he needed to become stronger. I never thought of Chopper as a weakling, just a bit fearful. But he certainly is a strong one when you consider the fact that he's real smart and can easily find a way to manipulate the other person's weakness. Just because of Chopper's victory makes this episode really good and one of my favorites so far in the Skypiea arc. I can't wait for Nami and Usopp to have themselves a 1 on 1 with whoever decides to fight them. Watching "weak" people beat "strong" people by using their wits is much more entertaining to me than two real strong guys going at it with flashy moves and exaggerated power levels. |

| These priests are a joke. Sure, there's variety in our fights, but by Satori, Hotori,and Kotori being literally only obnoxious, Shura being beaten in one blow to hype up Wyper, Gedatsu being so stupid he practically killed himself this fight with Chopper(and had a 50% survival rate for his ordeal), Yama seemingly being nothing more than an ugly obnoxious dude with a voice that's almost as straining as the Tori brothers, and the entire fodder army of Shandians and Divine Soldiers make most of the threats this arc an absolute joke. The only truly notable new people are Wyper and Eneru. Maybe Ohm will be worthwhile? Compare this to Arlong arc with Karate Fish, Hachi and big lips, or Alabasta with Mr. 1, Bon Clay, Mr.4 & Merry Christmas and this shows itself to be true. Mr. 4 and Merry Christmas weren't great as characters, but their fight made up for it, unlike how Gedatsu dug his own grave and acted as a one note comic relief villain. Don't get me wrong though. I loved seeing Chopper doing well for himself in a fight for once. Him helping out the divine soldier who turned against Gedatsu partially solved my problem about acting like the divine soldiers are good people who worked for Gan Fall presumably, yet not showing them as anything more than an army of one dimensional obstacles, as well as it showed the golden heart of Chopper. Seeing a fight based on dodging and a smart witty counter(that also had to do with Gedatsu being stupid) by removing his shoe and baiting him into the sky was fun. It was some nice development for Chopper, he's someone who always underestimates himself and needs to be shoved in the spotlight to find his strength for himself. It worked too, if not only temporarily, as he's now inspired to find the city of gold for himself. Do we know why Chopper can't just eat another rumble ball once his first wears off? If it's not for a good reason then his fights are based around some silly writing mechanics. I hope we see him fight in his normal form without a rumble ball at some point in the future. |

| This episode was great and it was awesome to see Chopper have an actual fight that wasn't one-sided against his favor this time. Gedatsu's stupidity was a treat and his untimely death being brought by his own idiocy was nothing short of hilarious! A shame for the goat guy who was the first one to be saved only to get killed immediately after. Conis and Pagaya's on the way to help the Straw Hats! You don't mess with Nico's ruins and get out of it alive. |

| Gedatsu is so fucking stupid. The side villains in Alabasta where better in my opinion, especially Mr.1 and my boy Bon Clay! Although I liked Shura and Braham, but they where beaten very quickly. Wyper and Eneru are awesome additions! Now hoping that Ohm and Yama will be more of a challenge... |
