| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty interesting background storytelling this episode. We got info dump on the origins of Koumaken (Kurikara) and more revelation about the Impure King's eye. Toudou's goal of restoring the Impure King to its original form definitely has a malevolent intent to it. Bon's father came right on time. MVP of the episode imo. I thought they adapted the fight rather well from the arc. |

| He "got caught", but then he helped people with the condition to cure. Group with white snake users chasing him. But as thanks to helping his wife, the delinquent looking guy's father when young led him go with his weapon. The lady realized what her teacher's doing, and that delinquent looking guy's father caught up. Showing when power of fire bird moving to delinquent looking guy's father when young, and already heard where Fujouou is sealed. Too late, Fujouou revived with two eyes returned to it. Oh, no... Real goal was him or rather that fire bird?! 26:30 next. And another "oh, no" next. |

| Great episode, action scenes look great and animation was on point. though the brightness reduction during those scenes is very obvious. Sad that they had to do that. :( Full backstory of Fujimoto and Tatsuma revealed, Love how Fujimoto's actions influenced Tatsuma to choose a different path compared to his predecessors, As admirable as that is, the path he chose was a very lonely one. :( The Impure King's awakening has begun, this is gonna be trouble but the following episodes should be really good. Despite having read the manga, I still wasn't prepared to see that knife stabbed through Tatsuma's neck, It just happens out of nowhere. :( Toudou's real objective is revealed too, in truth he was only after Karura. Them age reductions though. Come on Rin! Let's kick some Impure King butt. xD |

| Pretty good episode, finally so much action. That was a nice flashback, expected stuff from Fujimoto guiding Tatsuma, but still i liked it. The biggest problem for me is that after 12 episodes it will stop somewhere and will never continue, and i don't think that i like this story that much to read manga (mb the ending of this arc will convince me). |

| I should re-read the manga from the very beginning. I don't remember a thing about this arc and I was shocked when Toudou stabbed Suguro's father. And did Toudou's voice actor just changed to Suwabe Junichi? Now he has become a character I'll like no matter what he does :D |

| Nomnomnom, das sum guuud chicken. Subtitles really weaken any eventful thing about to happen. Right before he was gonna get stabbed, you could see the sentence end with a long stroke, pretty much means he's gonna get cut off mid sentence by something. |
| Not a bad episode, it was certainly a step up from what we've been getting up to this point. Holy crap I wasn't expecting Tatsuma to get stabbed through the neck out of nowhere. Also, I don't think it was supposed to be funny, but I kind of chuckled when Todo just started munching on Karura like some glutton eating a whole rotisserie chicken. |

| I haven't read the manga and this comment may even be premature but; this arc did not deserve its own season it should have been part of a 2 cour season not even animated its pretty weak so far. |

Can't people get that through their heads? Not everything revolves around Michael Bay-like explosions and action. |
| The action finally starting after five episodes of flashbacks, world-building and some development. There will probably be more development to come; especially for Rin. Mephisto will be back in the next episode from what the preview showed! Yay! |

No, I mean lots of people seem to complain that the development and world-building is boring and should be skipped. If it was skipped we wouldn't know why they're even in Kyoto or what the Myoda Sect is. That's why these last five episodes were important. They gave us more information about the Kyoto Sect and the history of Kurikara. People seem to forget that action isn't everything in an Anime, but also the development the characters go through in their journey. I do feel it should have run for up to twenty episodes though. That way we could've possibly gotten another arc. |

Both characters and plot had little to no development at all, Rin's classmates still act stupidly afraid of him, Rin himself only improved with his flames and acted tough as always, we got 5 episodes just to set all the buddhist sect drama |

This anime is fine to me but I hope it gets more exciting. |

I admit I don't understand the main plot point either at times, but there some good arcs in the Manga and it goes in depth with the other classmates later on as well as revealing more stuff on the Vatican. |

| A shame that they've had to kill him off, but Tatsuma certainly proved to be an interesting and sympathetic character in the end, even if what he did wasn't even close enough to stop Todo in his master plan (whatever that actually is, of course). Still, it seems like we've gotten through most of the character development stuff now, so it could well be time for the fight to begin again. I don't know how they're going to stop Todo and eventually destroy the Impure King, though. |

| When there are people who are too tied with their religion's belief that they don't even know if its true, how sad. Interesting backstory of Tatsuma and Fugimoto, from how Tatsuma finally untied to his father's rules, and the start of being friends with Fugimoto. I hope Tatsuma won't die, but he was stabbed on the neck, its too fatal Dx. Interesting next episode, Mephisto declared Rin's execution, but what did cause it?. |

Many Source Material Readers are praising this season as a fateful adaptation with the first 5 episodes as world/plot building. Meanwhile, Anime Only Viewers are noticing something off with this season. I (Anime Only Viewer) believe the "problem" with this season is the tone shift compared to the first season. The first season was mostly a light-hearted/school slice of life with supernatural elements and the occasional dark theme but this season is sooo serious. Now, there's no problem with it being serious. Some may like this newer season more than the first season and it's okay. There's no correct choice. However, as an Anime Only Viewer, it's difficult to accept part of the first season (Episode 1-14/15) and then continue into this season. If this arc was adapted in the first season, Rin would have defeated the Impure King (with help from his classmates) and probably Yukio defeated Toudou (with Rin's help) in about 5-6 episodes. |
| Nice storytelling, it's so good to have a real story in this anime. I hope Tatsuma is still alive, I like this man. |
