| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that was intense. Poor Fiji ;_; Glad they showcase more of the violence in the art of wrestling. Naoto's role this episode shows him being more stressed than usual, not that I blame him though after seeing what Yellow Devil did. Expecting to see the revenge match in the future. The Red Death Mask guy looks like a tough one to beat, can't wait to see him compete soon. |

| It was nice to have a full episode on the incident, I feel like I know the main plot now as it was solid and simple. Can't wait for the next match. |

| is it me or did the quality suddenly improve? not by much but it does look better than the first two episodes. also this was a good story focused episode plus it explains everything and I have to say I really need to watch the prequels. |

I guess it helps that they reused some footage from ep 1, but yeah it was better than the previous episode. It's Toei I guess. Some episodes are bound to drop the quality by a lot, but at least it's not as bad as Dragon Ball Super. It's a shame that they have to tell the story like this. They could have told all of this in episode 1 and do it linearly, but I guess they had to have Tiger Mask in episode 1, rather than end of episode 2. Still good to see how the current Tiger Mask has started. Not as noble as the original though, since it's all about the revenge for both Tigers. And lol, I know it's a sequel and that they need to remind you of some previous plot points, but since this is a standalone sequel with references to the old, they sure spoiled the entire first show. It's good to see that many characters will be returning. It makes me even more interested in the old one since I can now see how these characters were in the past. |

It's definitely not a masterpiece, but it's been ages since I've seen outlandish over the top wrestling antics since the industry became obsessed with making stories hyper realistic. Between this and Broken Matt it's made me nostalgic. Because no one knows who Gedo is and they can do whatever they want in fiction :) Another fun show. Liked that they focused more on the backstories of the characters and the training. |
| A lot of recycling of Episode 1 in here, lol. But it's nice to have the backstories fully fleshed out. I have a feeling that Tiger Mask will suffer his first big loss to Red Death Mask. Just a hunch. |

| A good spot to explain who is who and where they come from. What surprised me was Mr. X - I hope that current Tigers' Den pulled out a lookalike because in the original series he WAS dead meat (ep 103). Well, either that or they better come up with a BELIEVABLE excuse for his return. |
