The feels of this episode D:

I feel this episode was rather strange with the way Death Busters fought against the Sailor Scouts. And yuri vibes Felt more like a battle of mind games rather than anything else especially for Usagi. Hell, there's even a fake Chibiusa in the illusion. The united Sailor Scouts power though.

I'm not sure about this one. Too many Sailors in one room. That was kinda confusing.
Kaolinite was unexpectedly weak.
I hope Sailor Uranus just pretends to be nice.
Sailor Neptune seriously lacks presence.
New ED is just bland.

The new opening was ok, but to be honest I've expected more of Momoiro. The 2nd one still remains my favourite one. The new ending was good, at least better than the 2nd one ;P Maybe I need some time to get used to both.

Now for the episode itself:

In terms of animation/quality it was like a cocktail of bad and good quality with reused scenes and flashbacks :/ Not my taste exactly. It wasn't so mind blowing, like the last episodes and these bad quality shots were an eyesore sometimes. Especially those few derp faces ugh... >_>" There are even some scenes with low frame numbers. I hope Toei gets back on the right way, because compared to Season 3 standards some of it was lazy as fuck.

In terms of storytelling it was altered and few stuff was skipped compared to the Manga. Some were nice, some weren't. Just want to list them up for you:

- The whole Host and soul stealing by the Death Busters wasn't explained by the Outers (skipped)
- When Mistress 9 talked about her new body, she ripped her hair in the Manga and it grew back (skipped)
- Kaorinite smashed a bat with her wand and used it's blood/remains and wax in the ritual to resurrect the Witches 5 (censorship...)
- Mars wasn't pinned to the ground by Eudial and Mercury/Venus got captured with vines (altered)
- The Chibiusa illusion strangled Usagi from behind (minor change, but here it still looked like she's holding Usagis neck, rather than strangling her :P)
- Usagi fought with all the Witches 5 and got captured, in the Manga she didn't fought them and never got caught by them (spotlight for Usagi)
- Inners fighting Kaorinite in her Daimon form (some spotlight for the Inners, that were useless in the beginning)
- Outers use a defence barrier against Kaorinites eye laser beam (dat lazor beam thou XD), so Usagi can finish her off (spotlight for the Outers this time)
- The Taioron Crystal shattered in the manga, here it cracked a bit and stayed intact (Hmmm interesting...)

Except the skipped parts it was a nice add-on to give the Inners/Outers some spotlight and Usagi being overpowered by the Witches 5 to span the Manga plot a bit. However, I'm wondering about the Taioron Crystal. Some major change in the plot maybe?

Regardless of that I really liked Kaorinites Daimon form and the fight with her. And that Submarine Reflection. Amazing! Chronos Typhoon looked a bit like Plutos pose in Dead Scream from the 90's Anime :O Loved it too. OST and VA was very good. Seems like the next episode will be better compared to this one.

Altogether I give it a 3/5 this time.

Ok, lets begin: I like the new voice in the OP. It fill more better than the other sweelt and soft voice. Now I like more the OP song with that new singer or singers.

About the ending... well, was creepy to hear a male voice singing it when the other 2 was with a female voice (or voices). Still prefer the duo of the first ending. Is the best.

Now, the story.... Kaolinite was easy to eliminate Cyprine and Ptelil is more powerfull than her. And finally Endymion (or Mamoru) is doing somethin useful: Helping Chibi Usa.

This has to be my favourite episode so far. I am so happy that I don't remember the manga well, oh my I can still get the chills *-* The animation is again a little lucklaster, mostly with the faces (when we see them from a distance or when they belong to the person who listens to someone else talking, yeah then they look kinda derpy xD) but I never judge an anime by its animation. It's a nice addition to its possible cons, but that's it for me. I loved everything in the plot, so much action and emotion and character develpment. Mamoru in Crystal is so much better than in the 90's anime, I actually love him, he is there, he does stuff, her is important. The senshi rocked, all of them. Loved to see Inners ' greedy and humane side by wanting to give up fighting and get a normal life, it was nice to have them doubting Sailor Moon. And that scene when every senshi, Chibiusa and Mamoru tried to kill Usagi. Geez that was intense 0-0 In this episode there is possibly one of my favourite moments of the Outers ever. It was so sweet how they helped the Inners, I got a little teary over there ;P I don't know what else to say, I was blown by every second of this episode. That's all. I am done for the whole week now XD

The MomoClo version was awesome and I loved the new frames in the opening <3
This ED was so great, I loved it. It feels catchy and I am all in for that tango vibe XD And I love the voice, he is awesome in the speaking parts and he can actually sing beautifully!

The subtitles were hideously bad. Was the translator drunk? So many missing words, and terrible sentence structure.

The episode overall wasn't too bad. I'm shocked at how weak the inner senshi are. They're supposed to protect the princess, aren't they? How? They can barely handle minions, and are no match for standard bosses. It's kind of sad, really.

I don't know why but, it feels like I've only seen this in the subs for SMC. Every other show CR does seems fine for the most part but, all throughout S3 of SMC the subs have been horrendously presented with poor grammar and sentence structure. Weird.

And yeah, inner senshi are almost always overshadowed by moon herself. Guess thats what happens when you assigned to protect someone who is immeasurably more powerful than yourself lol.

I suppose to highlight it a bit. The senshi (inner and outer) are protected by the power of their planets (or something of that sort) whereas Sailor Moon draws her power from the silver crystal ( and sometimes the other senshi), an artifact of bottomless power who's only known origins consist of it being brought with Queen Serenity when she first came to this solar system.
Few maxims have done as much harm as, "Children should be seen and not heard."

Saying it right now I'm actually ok with the new op and ed (the ed especially). I get the feeling the ed's for this season are out of order or some were originally meant for SMC S1 especially this ed. to the episode at hand kaolinite was pathetically easy then again the minute she transformed when she saw the sailor scouts I knew she wasn't going to be around for the next minute or two. Alright the beginning was actually a surprise was not expecting them to start of that way but I'm so glad it did it added a little more emotion (well to me anyway, it kind of gave it that life or death situation). I love that Hotaru is fighting Mistress 9 from the inside I liked that they gave a reason for Mamo-chan not to go with the sailor scouts.

For a second I thought I wouldn't have to add up the transformation sequence but they got me right towards the end there so here it is. I split it up into 2 because some may argue and say it starts at the beginning of the chant other's will say it starts when the holy grail appears so to please both sides I did 2. Including the chant it took 1 minute and 6 seconds and Without the chant it took 36 seconds.

Finally, I was looking forward to the third version of New Moon ni Koishite. Love all 3 of them. Yakushimaru Etsuko's version was the original, arranged by herself, and very otome sounding. Mitsuko Horie's version was more matured and old school-ish, it had a completely different feel even if it's the same song. Momoiro Clover Z's version is just as enjoyable, I expected it to be upbeat like their other songs but they were elegant in delivering it.

I knew it was different from the manga, so at least it wasn't my memory playing me tricks. Well, let's see to where this is heading.

Also, it seems Witches 5 are back again in the next episode by the preview, god dammit... JUST DIE ALREADY

Nice to see the the inner senshi get some spotlight, although to me Jupiter should be near as strong as the outers. I mean Jupiter is a big planet and an outer as well. Always wondered why Jupiter wasn't part of the outers.

Eye beams, classic move.
Moon breaking free of that spell without any help, good. I found it creepy when the inner senshi began melting.

Was the intro part, in the hospital, in the manga too? It felt so out of place to me. Why should they bring Chibi-Usa to ER when "normal humans" don't know anything about magic power and what's going on with the Death Busters and all that. Do they want to have problems with the police or something? lol

This episode was kind of so-so for me. The Inners was too weak. Outer senshis' change of mind was odd. Everything seem rushed because the battles are fast. Kaorinite was defeated so easily. :/

I like the new version of the OP. I love Momoclo <3 Was expecting something more upbeat tho.
The ED is kind of bland to me too. Not a fan. I miss the one with Chibi-Usa. :(

I've always been a fan of villains that manipulate the heroes. The central idea was that they'd sacrificed something precious to themselves for the greater good of the world, and even though this didn't keep them down it was nice to have it acknowledged. In addition we got new opening and ending themes; lovely to see MCZ back in the former, and it's of little surprise to see that Kenji Nojima has some serious lungs on him for the latter.

Yup, they have brought her to a Med Center in the Manga too. She stopped breathing so yeah. They didn't know Mistress 9 took her soul with the silver crystal and the Outers have explained it. I found Mistress 9 chilling the whole time in Hotarus room more weird, but well, it was like that in the Manga :D

I check that part in the Manga after watching this episode, because I found it very odd myself. Honestly I never realized they took her to Mamorus house to begin with. When I was reading the Manga some time ago I unconsciously tricked myself thinking, that she stayed with Mamoru in the Mec Center :D Very creepy indeed, especially the fact, that Mamoru is all alone with the lifeless body of his future daughter... *getting the chills*

The best part of this EP was Uranus hugging Moon, aww <3
Other than that okay-ish I guess, nothing special happened besides that.

New OP version is pretty good, better than I thought it'd be. Still, I like Etsuko's best, and Horie's version is probably second place for me.
And the ending... Dunno, it sounds and looks kinda... gay :D? Like disco from the nineties. Can't say I dislike it, for now let's say I'm neutral towards it. Eternal Eternity still takes the cake.

Manga was full of silly bits like this one, just like a few episodes back 15 years old Usagi and grade shooler Chibiusa were sleeping in Mamoru's apartment, inside his bed :D Wonder what they have told her poor parents >D

The amount of grammatical errors in this episode was awful. Don't they have anyone to double check the subtitles? And yeah, it's been especially bad in Sailor Moon for some reason. I haven't noticed these mistakes in other shows on Crunchyroll.

Other than that, it was a decent episode. Quite emotional too.

I remeber only few things of manga....

I really like the begging of the episode when mamoru was so sweet protection Chibiusa, telling Usagi that gonna be all right.

Mamoru kissing Usagi sooo romantic ... I really love.

Later we saw Pluto, Uranus and Neptune helping other Senshis. Great.

The hugging bettwen Haruka and Usagi was great too.

Finally appear Super Sailor Moon.

I like Mamoru and Usagi but I didn't like ending... prefer the olders one.

I don't know if this sort of thing exists in Japan or in other countries too but in my country, if someone's death is not a medical mystery so the corpse has to be examined, the family has the option to take them home in order to honor their death and say a long goodbye before the funeral. Maybe in Japan that option exists as well. Now I don't know how teens got to do that, but maybe they used Setsuna since she is like 19 or they called Usagi's parents (but I wouldn't like that to be the case because it's so odd not to have them at least a sec crying or being by their grandchild's/daughter's side lol. But it's anime world anyway. This scene is quite realistic for anime standards still for me XD) So I wasn't confused while watching this scene, actually I was really hyped that a scene like that was present in an anime, espceially in SM ;P

I got a big kick out of the new ending - it is so 80s. The beginning of it was right out of the ending of "Tokimeki Tonight", with Tuxedo Mask doing the Ranze cape dance (except that Ranze wasn't wearing anything under her cape. LOL )

Magus Kaolinite is finally obliterated but Mistress 9 is surely more powerful than her!
Damn didn't expect that Chibiusa is temporarily dead...and not only that, the enemy is also in possession of the legendary silver crystal and that power can be used against the senshi! oh no...

Ok, NOW The Witches 5 are no more.

Good thing that I'm a Hotaru/Sailor Saturn fanboy, otherwise I would have been gung-ho for the Sailor Guardians to save Chibiusa at all cost.

The new version of the OP song is pretty good. It's still not touching Etsuko's but it's better than the previous one. As for the new ED, don't know if I love it or hate it lol.
