Bubulina (or rather Audrey's) dancing was somewhat neat. The BGM was great, though a bit cartoon-ish.

Like a lot of these short films it's about style far more than substance but unlike some of them there was nothing to confuse the issue. Neat.

It reminded me a lot of various Canadian National Film Board shorts - very imaginative and approachable.

I liked the background's art look a lot, it looked a like a colour pencil drawing. Didn't really find the rest appealing, apart from the way Bubu looked and moved.

One of the best so far. Storybook style utilized well.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

Story wasn't anything new, but it was still a fun watch. The art style was unique, as expected of Studio Colorido.

Yeah, I definitely appreciate the simpleness of this short.

This sure was different! For some reason it reminded me of Corpse Bride.

Holy shit, I missed Takashi Nakamura's work. I knew the moment the short started it was him, it has basically all the vibes of Catnapped (the balloon ship even made a cameo at the end!), it was glorious.

Trippy. Weird. Dancing.

I wouldn't say I liked or disliked it.

It also reminded me of scenes from Madoka. It would be awesome for some of these shorts to be made into a fully fleshed out series.

Heh. Bubu is pretty much a Pokémon. On a side note, how she initially continuously launched small balloons to fly and chase down Bubulina wearing those red shoes made me uncharacteristically nervous on the inside for some reason. Perhaps it's just me afraid that she will fall.

I wonder why Audrey didn't fully take possession of that blonde girl like how she did with Bubulina though, or maybe she already did in the past but never found the loving audience she so desired.

Really nice designs, and a fun little story to go along with it.
I really like the two main characters, too. I'd watch a whole series of little 5-10 minute shorts featuring them getting into different antics.

It was...certainly colorful. One thing I did notice is how the art style somewhat lent to the movement of hair, which was interesting to see. It gave the impression of each strand being animated despite the minimal amount of detail put in. Perhaps it's more accurate to say the scratchy art style, which made me recall the film Hells, made the animation seem more lively than it actually was. Hard to say.

wow I really loved this.
So much colour, so much imagination, so much charm and most of all an amazing Jazz musical backing.
I wish there was more of this.

It's hard to give it your all if there's no one to appreciate what you're doing I suppose. Even if the audience wasn't real, Bubu's gesture was appreciated.

Watching this without subs made me feel lost lol It was more bizarre and had more of a niche aesthetic definitely. //I watched this again with subs and the story became a lot more compelling despite looking like a freaky Madoka witch scene~

In college, I was once required to attend a 3 hour seminar detailing the perks and glory of the accounting profession.

That experience was only slightly less boring than this episode.

That story beat about the magical red shoes and the ghost possessing Babulina seems like a clear reference to the 1845 Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale 'Red Shoes'! Just not as grim lol, but I dig this alternate take on it. There's also a 1948 ballet movie by the same name and a Kate Bush-directed musical titled 'The Line, the Cross and the Curve' based on it that I highly recommend as well.
