Madhouse for Alderamin? Ok, we're probably going to get good animation but butchered content. Looks like the sound and seiyuu will be fairly good too. I suppose that can sell... I usually mostly refer to the director's name but he's completely unknown to me. His only show is a reverse harem currently airing which received a very low rating on MAL too (not like rating on MAL is relevant, but when it's this low...) Why are they giving something that isn't simple to adapt to a non experienced director... With a studio known to screw up novels adaptation.... I suppose my hope of seeing the very good Alderamin adapted at least half as faithfully as RnY was is now over. Madhouse have done very nice anime, but I would be very surprised if they were to handle properly something like Alderamin. Kuma said: this series screaming edgy right in your face. not really my faforite type os stories, but i will wait. Alderamin isn't especially edgy. It's military. And try to have war without deaths. And he choose to do it, believing he was the most appropriate for that kind of harsh job. And yes, it was necessary. If you think that war is pretty, you've watched too much animu about war lately. HE didn't want the others to handle that kind of "job" and be dirtied by it, and choose to have the blood on his hands himself. Besides, that guy would have died anyway. So yes, it was cruel, but necessary. |

Guess who right?? hehe With these adaptation maybe Madhouse will make three LN adaptation this year, I believe Clockwork Planet/Youjo Senki done by Madhouse too. Well, this LN was so good, could become AOTY, if Madhouse do right. I hope TWO COURS with 26 episodes and covered volume 4/5 . Best Girl of the year has come, YATORI!! |

Norn9 is pretty decent, but then he is not director, just assistant director, so can't really give much credit to him. Though he is experienced for storyboard/episode director, so i guess this is biggest challenge for him. http://www19.atwiki.jp/enshutsu/pages/350.html |

Excited for this, Madhouse production values hopefully are their normal high standard. Hope we get 2-cour or split-cour and not another 1-cour LN adaptation by them with the series only feeling halfway complete (cough cough No Game No Life). The guy on series composition and the sound director are great, just hope the director does a god job as well. |

I'm sorry , but both RnY and Alderamin are far better than several of your favourite. And so is Youjo Senki for which we're still awaiting to know which studio will adapt, as well. They're too good to be wasted on a studio that thinks it's fine to adapt 7-8 volumes in 12-13 episodes, though. @D-Joe RnY's adaptation being that faithful in this day and age was pretty much a miracle brought to you by Spice & wolf's director and the guy responsible for kyoukaisenjou no horizon's series composition. I wouldn't base myself on an extremely rare occurrence like this to judge anything. @Kuma : can you edit your post please? I can't understand half of your sentences so I don't know what you're trying to say. |

Because they're not "mediocre staff", Shogo Yasukawa is not the best writer ever but he did fine with his most adaption show. Also i did not say they 100% will do a great job, but at least i won't judge a adaption that when not even a single PV released. |

I'll wait for the PV before making a hasty judgement, but I gotta say I was interested in this quite a bit when it was first announced, but Madhouse with LNs and a newbie directing this aren't exactly inspiring confidence. |
5 main aspects I base my ratings on: 1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it? 2. Is it better than Breaking Bad? 3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it? 4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL? 5. Is it actually good? Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant... |
