Uncovered did the right thing, he told his mother the truth. I'm glad and surprised how his mother forgive him so easily.

The moral of this episode is: "Bros before Hoes."

Uncovered was one of my favorites of this show, but I feel like this arc ruined his character. He was so easily blinded by his love of Eri that he almost messed up every other relationship he built up throughout his whole life. Then in the end, we find out that she was lying to him the whole time! Live and learn I guess.

great episode...and quite a realistic touch on what love really is most of the times...an illusion

Wow, contrary to most of the commentators here, I thought this two-parter was fantastic. It essentially attacked every defining feature of Uncovered, pushing him down to the lowest he's ever been. There's something beautifully ironic about Uncovered, the most cool-headed and rational of Ranbow's cast, being the one to get an arc centered on the irrationality that love can inspire. What Uncovered did during the month he was absent continues this theme of irony as well: the character best known for using his brain redeems himself by using his brawn. And so on.

I thought it was fascinating that the fundamental difference between Eri and Uncovered, the reason that they could never truly be together, were their different attitudes towards life. The revelation in this episode that Eri had no interest in continuing to live recontextualizes her previous scenes with Uncovered; its clear now that her indifference to Uncovered's insistence that they live together was primarily due to her unwillingness to continue living, more so than whether she liked Uncovered or not. The two of them were ultimately looking for totally different things. Uncovered was looking for someone to live with; Eri was looking for someone to die with. I thought it was especially interesting that the person whom committed suicide with her was a student from a prestigious university; in other words, someone who ouldn't immediately appear to desire death, from an outsider's perspective. The contrast between their different positions makes in life makes their mutual death all the more striking. It feels like biting commentary on how a person can be miserable regardless of their social status, and similarly, how finding happiness in life is independent of such a variable.

Unwanted, fundamentally, is a person who takes the hard ship that life throws his way, perseveres, and continues struggling to live a fulfilling life, no matter the odds. Unlike him, though, Eri had already given up. her story is incredibly tragic, and its why Uncovered pities her from the bottom of his heart; he can't imagine what a life so totally devoid of any sort of happiness must be like, a life so terrible that death would be preferable, is like. Against that backdrop, the narrative's focus on his sources of happiness (his friends, his family, and how he risked losing them all) becomes all the more poignant.

Uncovered, in the shock of the aftermath of Eri's death, unconsciously walked himself back to the tree that he had waited at for her. That action is, above all, an expression of Uncovered's integral will to live. The tree, after all, symbolizes exactly that, as the show makes quite clear. Of course, we now realize, of course Eri would never have shown up at that tree. She couldn't have.

I love Turtle (he might be my favorite of core group), so I'm looking forward to a few episodes centered on him.

Uncovered is a poor written character at first he didn't trust anybody then he trust the guard and didn't trust Sakuragi and now because of the prostitute he deceived his friends and family.

Unlike what many think I think this was a great end to Baremoto's arc. The dried ginkgo tree Eris told him about was a great conceptualization of her message and signified the reason why he can't be with him. Overall the episode was done in a quite skillful and believable manner and I loved it.

I couldn't care less about Uncovered here, but Eri saved this episode, and the fact that he pitied her sorry existence instead of blaming her too. I guess she made that promise with him only because he wouldn't take no for an answer, and yes, she lied about her family, maybe because the truth of being sold by her mother was too painful or shameful, but thanks to it she had no choice but to work as a prostitute, and she was even left with a huge debt.

She did notice that Uncovered cared about her, and that he was a 'nice' guy, so she tried to make him stop going there, and told him to become an admirable adult. So even though she had no strength to run away and keep living, she still wanted to escape, and so she committed a lover's suicide with that guy, maybe things weren't okay for him too, I don't know, but welp.

Lesson learned I guess.

I thought these Nomoto centered episodes were quite interesting.

To throw away your family, friends, and lfe for a filthy whore is a terrible decision and honestly just stupid. And even now he still cares for Eri, smh.
I thought he was the smart one in the group....

And there goes all my excitement from the previous episode's build up. Completely predictable storyline and a total snoozefest. I wonder if the show will redeem itself in the last 4 episodes.

Yeah, he’s not getting my respect back. He’s just going to betray his friends, his brothers, and his own mother again. He’s so easy. For a character that couldn’t trust, he ended up trusting too much.

Amazing episode fitting for an amazing arc. Never thought I'd watch a storyline about one of the boys falling for a worker of the night but here we are. The ending was surprisingly uplifting with a message about encounters and partings in life. Overall I was surprised by how well this was done and how entertaining it was.
