Shirobako was one of the three anime I mentioned that needs proper recognition just a few days back lol.

Do you think OPM will be anime of the year?

Since it won Kobe Awards, it means TAF will pick something else.

Interesting that new GITS movie won. Haven't seen it yet but Arise felt very MEH. Is it better or at least as good as original movies and SAC?

LOL at Expelled from Paradise winning the animation award. Japan seriously thinks that they finally achieved perfect anime-like visuals with this movie's CG, I'm not kidding.

It's just the finale of Arise, it isn't stand-alone.

Jojo deserved that spot.

I've seen no OP in the past decade that has an OP so creative as End of The World.

Happy to Gits win an award, even though I'm not a big fan of Arise and the new movie in general. IG doesn't disappoint from a production standpoint, they go all out with Gits.

Those are some good awards, those guys know their stuff, not like the other ones where they award some emo ass shows.

Pretty happy for Shirobako and Jojo.

If that were the case it would have won the animation award, instead the outstanding individual award just went to Mizushima for work on that movie, not that movie specifically. That said I still don't understand why that movie is thought so highly of in Japan cause you do sort of get that impression that they really think it's a monumental achievement in terms of visuals as opposed to just a flashy also ran.

It's not like Kobe animation award is known for rewarding those who have exceptional artistic or technological achievements, it gave LoveLive! The Best TV anime last year for god's sake, go check its wiki and you'll know it's more about influent and popularity, and sometimes just outright nonsense.

With that said I still have to disagree with the Individual Award, you thought if the person is really have that kind of passion and involvement his efforts would at least be present on the screen, yet for 90 minutes all I can feel is someone staying at the corner quietly nodding to whatever Urobutcher's saying and too afraid to make recommdations or question his script, and speeding up the animation isn't what you call 'innovative expressions that enrich the creative activities of animation'.

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.
