| Mmmmh, Was so excited to see this adaptation, and I feel disapointed after this first episode. Was expecting better animation from A-1, and Suzune's voice was really off to my ear. From what I can gather from the thread, the voice actress is a newbie. Not sure about that decision of giving her a main role like this right out of the gate. I can only hope that she will improve. Other than that, it just lacked the "epicness" that the manga had |
| Interesting series. Otaku teacher saves the day teaching bullies their place. There is no other way for them to stop except to inflict them with pain, so I'm glad Kagami did what he did, those bitches deserved it. It is always fun to see a character that aspires to be a seiyu being voiced by a seiyu, specially when said seiyu is a newcomer. Still Sora Amamiya does it great. Love her character too (I'm a sucker for white skin and long black hair). Time to see how this will develop. |

| I felt like I was watching an anime that aired like in 2006 (maybe the production was too spread out for other shows in the same season) Its alright for a first episode. Might give it the 3 episodes treatment. |

| Honesty I was expecting a little bit more. Maybe I just wanted more characters to be introduced. But over all this is a decent episode. Let's hope next episode is a big better :) |

| Meh, that SKE48 member voicing Suzune is very underwhelming. I feel like she doesn't have the talent to be voice acting after I heard Suzune. The art is pretty bad, but I'm willing to forgive it. Pretty fun watch so far. I haven't seen GTO, but I think I might give GTO a try as well since the thread is comparing similarities. |

| The animation felt sub-par. I don't know if it was just the style, but it felt dated. That being said, loved Kagami. He is manic, and an absolute pleasure to watch. xD |

| Feels like a mix between a GTO premises and KamiNomi or Love Hina characterization. Can't complain much though, since I was meant to pick up the manga a while back (just haven't found the time for it..). So I guess I'll make do with watching the anime for now. The looks of the characters and the theme both feel like something by Ken Akamatsu, so yes a bit dated, but the story and it's resolution was interesting in itself. I liked Minako and her determination to change herself for the better. I also like that Kagami was spewing out legal articles like a boss. Decent start. Looking forward to the next episode. |

| It was about above-average for me. Nice start, but as a manga-reader, it felt really fast-paced. Some scenes and emotions just felt a bit off transitioning so quickly, but maybe that's just me. We'll see how this continues to go, but a decent first eppy. |

| It was an alright episode. I remember reading the manga 2-3 years back but putting it on-hold as my interest in it kept on dwindling. Kagami is one of the better MCs in this season so far so I'm looking forward to more of his "lectures". If only this show had a better budget and quality but I guess A-1 is not so concerned on it. I honestly don't mind the oldish art style anymore so it's fine for now. Ohh and that Koyomi at the end~ :3 I remember I shipped her with Kagami long back when I was reading the manga, was it alright? |

| I wasn't expecting much at first, but the over-the-top comedy was pretty hilarious. It's also great to have a really cool main character like Kagami. Looking forward to the next episode. By the way, I'm not sure why people are so baffled by the animation. I mean, now that I took a second look at it, I agree that the background in general doesn't look very polished and the overall quality could be a tad better. By better I mean it doesn't look as modern as other shows, but it doesn't look bad to me by any means. |

| I really liked this first episode. Kagami is an amusing character. He reminds me a bit of Koro sensei from Ansatsu Kyoushitsu. I like the way he was willing to help Kanou. Seeing teachers really helping their students has become something I've been very fond of for a while now. Definitely some funny moments. The OP and ED are worth having for me :) |

| Read part of the manga a couple of years ago and it seems that this episode followed the manga pretty well. It makes me wonder how the rest will turn out. |

| I don't usually complain about voice-acting because I'm fairly easy to please with that aspect but that idol VA... yikes. And while I'm fine with Kagami's current VA, I liked Daisuke Ono from the CM better. It clearly has budget issues but they didn't really bother me. Story isn't special but still enjoyable. I'll continue watching for now but I'll probably eventually check the manga too and see if I'm better off dropping the anime in favour of it or not. |

| oh hey Moon Pride the animation looks very 1990s sigh, I LOVE Mimori Suzuko and Kamisamiya so I'm hoping this gets better. It doesn't help that I'm also watching Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (also with Kamiya) and even though I'm only one episode into each, Sayonara is already far superior. |

| It was quite fun to watch, but didn't feel like a special series for me. The inconsistent animation didnt help a thing, sadly, and with the fact it has the Harem genre attached to it... this probably isn't my cup of tea. MC was pretty charismatic, tho. |

Just like GTO, I wish he was my teacher. I've read the manga and the series is also quite enjoyable. I like the GTO homage, its nostalgic and I am sure GTO fans are finding it as fun too with so many jokes, parallels and adaptions of GTO while maintaining uniqueness with a fresh take, its a solid 7/10 for me so far, most drawbacks have been mentioned. |
| Well before watching this episode, I didn't expect to be interested in this season much at all... I was a little bored by the idea... I can understand where you're all coming from, complaining about quality and standards... But after watching the episode, I suddenly felt the urge to watch the entire season! So take that how you will!!! |

| Urf. I have to say the art is pretty subpar.... but A-1 right? Plot seems a bit generic but pretty interesting. Sensei and the girl he fancies looks cute together as a couple although the teacher x student relationships are infrequent. Oh well. I like the OP. Kudos to Sensei for terrorizing 3 girls. Pretty sure that also falls under Intimidation. |

| Disappointed. Actually, the biggest disappointment of the season so far. I was expecting something along the lines of Ansatsu Kyoushitsu or GTO, but what I got was neither and far below either. And the chara designs and animation is rather off-putting. I can only hope it gets better, but so far Kamiya is wasted on this. |

| Why do people expect so much from this series? Even the preview art and the manga doesn't suggest anything more than we received. If you want to say "A-1 must produce BEST shit always", then you should expect your government to take better care of you, etc, etc... but you don't. Personally, I find there to be many reasons why shows don't utilize the "best" stuff. There are plenty of series that use lower-technology techniques in the past when more were available, and it led to a better presentation. I am hoping for one thing though; that this series has a 38+ episode count... Also, how can you expect anything to be like GTO? The Summary for De-kyou was "An Otaku NEET becomes a Teacher", not A badass Gang leader becomes a Teacher". If you want to compare GTO to anything, go watch Gokusen! I wrote this post because people seem to be bashing De-kyou not because it's bad, but because it's not what they expected. Things like It doesn't compare to other teacher anime or A-1 failed. If you want to complain, say the story sucks, or mark inconsistencies like the sleep-over scene in World Break. |

| If this doesn't remind you of Great Teacher Onizuka, then get out. NOW. Now that the people that have watched GTO, it seems pretty good I guess. I liked the concept in GTO and I still do today. The animation just seems very cheap and clunky, and so dis shit better be because it's a 24 episode thang and so dey be dumping all kinds of monay into making it 24 episodes and forgot bout the animinations, CUH. Like the concept, not so sure about the execution so much yet. |
