| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Wow, so Zeref taught magic to Mavis and the others. It was really sweet that Mavis left him be around her illusion animals, made me feel even more sorry for the guy even though he's basically the main villain of the series. Only 10 days before the birth of Fairy Tail? Wow this prequel probably isn't going to last too long, but I definitely hope they manage to adapt it at some point for the anime version. |

| Well, this is Interesting. Well hell, Meeting between Zeref and Mavis and she realized immediately what magic he was Using... Well Mavis just swarmed him with Cute Animals huh? Start of the New Friendshi between Dark Mage and First Master of the FAiry Tail...One Thing that I did not Expect. And He Taught...!? Oh Hell, Hiro-Sensei loves the Mind Fucks huh. Mavis the Black Wizard...wasn't it Fairy Tactician actually? and what did Zeref Meant he killed her? and Mavis Friend is Using Spells!?! IS SHE ALIVE OR NOT!?!?! JUST FREAKING TELL US ALREADY!!! |

| Seriously, on top of the ending chapter of the Tartarus arc and this chapter of Zero, Hiro Mashima is on a freaking roll. Definitely one of my favorite manga artists and authors ever now. I just love how he's handled the FT series to the point that he needed to tell the backstory of characters in a prequel series, makes the scope of everything seem epic. |

| This would be a nice story if the future events weren't already planed. Zeref was almost one of the creators of Fairy Tail. And it looks like he is involved with Mavis death.. uh... |

| The interesting thing of note to this chapter is we get a bit more on Zeref's magic. It's power seems to be determined by strength of will. Aside from that not too much. Mavis the "black wizard" was kinda cute but we never see her like that in the present so it was probably just a gag. Yuriy seems to like Lightning Magic, just like his Great Grandson. :D And Zeira, who I still dunno is real, seems interested in fire. As always the ending narration remains ominous. |

| Zeref teaches the group magic and Mavis explained his curse thank you Mavis. Their hole interaction was sweet I might feel like jumping on this ship and Zeref I like you and understand why but stop being emo. | Man, I am really interested in Zeref. Now that all 3 guilds from balam alliance are defeated, Zeref remains as only big interesting character. Can't wait to see what will happen next. |

| IMPORTANT. What is Zeira is Natsu´s mother? She is learning fire right? Zeira died probably by the hands of Zeref! Then Zeref must had been sorry and took the baby ( Natsu) and kept him inside of a book or a shell with a spell! Then Igneel fought against END, and he knew there was a baby and he couldnt kill him. Then somehow Natsu was released and Igneel trained him. |

| I loved this chapter. I don't read the main manga so I don't know how much is revealed about Zeref and his relationship with Mavis up until now but this was interesting. Especially Zeref's "I never wanted to kill anyone" suggesting that his past actions when he became that powerful black wizard wasn't lead by evil thoughts. I'm so curious now how it came to be. Sadly enough, I don't think we will get that story with this Zero manga. Oh and Mavis animal illusions for Zeref: That was really sweet. |

| I think maybe because Mavis somehow learned dark magic from Zeref, and that caused some problems with her real body ( something like dark magic is consuming her and making her evil ...), and so to prevent that, she had to get rid of her actual physical body and sealed it as Lumen Histoire. That would explain why Makarov was scared to release Lumin Histoire, because she is a black wizard. I like the Zeira is Natsu mother theory too, it would make tons of sense but who knows what Hiro has in his mind. |

| So far, i like this series. To repeat myself, i like this series more than the main one. Is it because of Mavis or because there is no cheesy fight yet? I think the former one is more dominant. |
| I'm scared to find out what the narration means. Couldn't exactly discern between Zeref or Mavis telling the narration, leaning towards the latter, though the former makes more sense. | Oh,wow. This was an amazing chapter. They showed Zeref half-naked!! (That's a thumbs up for me even though his body doesn't look as good as Natsu's) Back to the review, Zeref is really just a really...sad and depressing person. Y'know,I really feel bad for him. He loves the world and people so much,that his feelings for life make everything die. And just think, he's had to go hundreds of years living this way. So I thought it was really sweet of Mavis to give him the presence of "living" animals to cheer him up a bit. Zeref has definitely become one of my fav characters in this chapter. I mean,he's just so sweet! So he taught magic to everyone,that's pretty neat. So does Mavis have the same magic as Zeref since he's also a dark wizard? I don't think she woud be looking that happy if she did.. Anyways,I think Zeref is just so awesome. I mean,he taught magic to them,and look at what they've come up to be! The tree guy(forgot his name) became one of the wizard saints. Hades became guild master of two different guilds(Fairy Tail and Grimiroe Heart) Im pretty sure if he wouldn't have turned evil he could have been a saint too. And...and...wait...wait.... Where's Yuriy?!!! Wait,wait....wait...wait!!! Where's Zeira?!!! There's some questions for ya! But I've been thinking...didn't Zeref basically kill one of his students? I mean,he literally destroyed Hades(In the Tenroujima Arc) without any remorse whatsoever. Yet,in this chapter he said the days he spent with them were his most cherished. Something isn't adding up...there are so many questions! And also,it's seems as though Zeref will accidently kill a "her" in the upcoming chapters. Im really believeing it will be either Mavis or Zeira. |

After reading the latest chapter of Fairy Tail, I think the timing is perfect after the Tartarus arc is adapted, the anime should adapt Fairy Tail Zero, 10 / 10. Ah you may be right about Zeria being alive, thanks for bringing it up as I didn't think about it. |
