Well that was refreshing. The snowy weather felt different or rather in contrast with the forest nature.

They introduced some more characters in the fantasy side of the world. Otherwise, a bit of a slow episode too imo.

Really fitting the wintry season especially after having finally snowed yesterday night!

Ronja looks cute in her winter clothing ^^

Being able to throw snowballs that far! I knew Pelje would fall from dodging on an incline xD Liked how he had his head out of the snow pile!

Snowball fight!

The person basically saying, "I will haunt you as a living ghost!" xD

Ronja going skiing! My first and last time skiing was literally a walking disaster as I chose to walk down the hill most times :O I was scared of accelerating but Ronja really did seem to enjoy it!

Felt bad for the group of guys having to shovel the snow each day xD

If Mattis learned of this accident, I can see him banning Ronja to ever leave when it snows xD He being such a worrying dad ^^

The creatures being able to talk and Ronja breaking their roof! Getting her feet stuck, I would dig a hole around it and try to break the roof more to escape by stomping on my other feet or putting all my weight on that one feet though it might collapse!

Liked how they used it as a cradle! I thought the fire was dangerous though. Hope Ronja gets out being trapped before it snows again!

Ronja is going skiing.

Ronja's right foot got stuck into the snow and the home roof of Rumphobs. Rumphobs refused to help Ronja.

Did anyone notice that the snow they were shoveling up always came out as a rectangular/cube shape? That was a bit unnatural.

That old man always has something smart to say. Lill-Klippen's comeback was pretty good though.

Tjorm got off easy after throwing a huge snowball at Lovis accidentally. If it was Mattis, he would've been done for. XD

Ronja got a hang of skiing quite quickly; already a pro on her 3rd day! Man, that looked so fun!

Those rumphobs were pretty funny with their talking style. I like how they used Ronja's stuck feet as a support for the cradle. XD

Good episode. Looks like one of those harpies will end up getting Ronja out of the hole. Also, Birk will finally appear again.

Yeah same here, or definitely the first part about digging a hole. At least when you dig far enough you can fully assess the situation. I felt Ronja's frustration with trying to get her foot out. I remember when I was younger I was playing with one of those vertical bars because I wanted to copy what the big kids did. Too bad I somehow ended up in a position where my feet were tangled around the bar and I couldn't get out. After struggling like my life depended on it for awhile and being stuck there I just started crying LOL. My sister came because someone told her that her little sister was crying and was in trouble. Turns out, I was stuck because of my big shoes so all I had to do was to take it off and then I could untangle my feet...anyways, like I said, I understand that kind of situation. At her age, I cried though it wasn't a life or death situation, so props to Ronja. If that happened to me in such a cold winter day with no one around, I would bawl my eyes out.

But yay, I welcome back Birk with open arms. Love that kid.

Awesome ep!

I got into a few similar situations myself when I was a kid, so I can totally relate.

Yeah, it's a bit slow, but I really enjoy the pace. My only problem is that you have to wait for a week until you can watch the next episode.

yay skiing (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧ Ronja seemed to get the hang of it pretty fast, considering she was self-taught.

So cute... Ronja is getting more and more lovable.

Birk to the rescue? I always like to see more of him. :D

What a great EP. Ronja's delight in the snow, her new winter garb, and skiing was a sight to behold.

The little Rumphobs, or whatever they were called, were pretty cool.

It looks like the next EP will be gripping what with the Harpy and Birk to the rescue.

man it is so scary when you get stuck in snow though.

but those skiis look so unreliable and hard to use...
"Urushibara Ruka. The mannerisms and voice of a woman... No... More feminine than any woman. But he's a guy. Taller than Mayuri, but so very thin... But he's a guy. Looks great in a miko outfit... But he's a guy. It's already twilight And yet, it's so hot. The cicadas are crying. But... He's a guy."

I live where it's flat! I mean pancake-flat for 100+ miles in any direction. Which is good because I cannot ski, lolz!
She needs to use the ski to dig the snow away, then slip out of her boot... but she's a kid and doesn't know that.
She could also pile snow up over herself, it keeps you warm & out of the wind. The heat from below would probably help too.
Yay! Harpies! I like them :) They have spunk! What a fun show.

I remember watching the movie once when I was really young, and one of the few things I remember from that movie is the skiing and when she got stuck in the snow. Something strikes me as odd though, I felt certain she only had one ski pole. I feel like I remembered it well as it struck me as so strange when I watched the movie.

Now I wonder, is my memory wrong or did they simply make a mistake on the minor details? Anyone more familiar with the story who could tell me? A simple google search didn't help much.
I rarely revisit threads, so if you're after a reply you should PM me or post a comment on my profile.

I have been waiting for the winter when Ronja finally starts skiing and we get to see those annoying small creatures. They didn't turn out exactly as i hoped but I guess it was okay, the were worse in the swedish movie :P

By the looks of previous comments, the adaptation is turning out nicely?

what is "nothing happens"? I think reality happens. There is snow, you have to shovel it and you can SKI in it!

Ronja is so easily lovable. I never skied, but she and this entire show easily relays this feeling of freedom and glee felt for this same freedom. Then, we get stuck (no pun intended?) in a fearful situation. I was actually worried for her foot. I thought that she could dig it out in some way but then I realized it's twined in between some branches.

fuk Ronja's husky tomboyish voice is so HHHNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

I first thought she broke her leg when she landed and was surprised to find out that she didn't notice it until she tried moving it. That would have made things WAY more interesting, with the rumphobs/rumpnisse/rumpnissarna and all (but then again this is a kid's show so I guess they wouldn't show that shit lol........).

She always makes me worry. Goddamnit Ronja. If you break a leg (literally), or EVEN WORSE........CRASH RIGHT INTO A TREE......................that's goddamn Bangkok Dangerous.

Yeah, my words exactly. It's nice slice of life and so on but story like this could've been told better in 10 minutes rather than in twenty. It felt like dragging.
