I don't know if anybody had mentioned this or not, but Tokyo Ghoul is too overrated. I don't know at which point of the story made the anime get a score more than 7. Most of the MAL review of the anime gave low score, but the overall score is still 8. Like, how did it get the score that high?
The ending of Tokyo Ghoul is the biggest turnoff. I thought I was watching NGE last episode all over again. It's like they are desperately want to leave the story cliffhanging so that they would get a second season.
When people asked 'why are you so quiet?',
just answer 'why are you not?'

Yeah, I know it's getting a season two. But the way the first season left, it's so absurd. They didn't have to change the style of the story to NGE-like. From talking with action to THAT kind of made me dozed off.

the opening made that turn of events way too god damn obvious, it was still an exceptional episode but i am baffled why they included such a big giveaway. You know spoilers in openings are only cool when you hide them so you only notice it when said spoiler has come and past, say what you will about zankyou no terror whether you oved it or hated it, thats an example of spoilers in an opening correctly, every single major plot point event and character fate was shown throughout the opening yet you wouldnt really catch them until post watch.

Also time to bite the potential bullet and watch fate, i have no clue how this is gonna go
I agree, I liked how despite knowing that it was coming the episode was still very enjoyable and well done too. I'm not even mad.

As for Fate, since you read the novel, there are a few changes/additions but for the most part it is a pretty faithful adaptation, so don't let the small changes throw you off. Most of them were probably done to compensate for no Fate route anime.

Ronja is still so underrated (6.67). Legit 8+ levels of enjoyment if you're not a grumpy old man ranting about clouds and CGI and stuff.

SeHa girls is also criminally low (6.33) for being very fun to watch, with lots of references to gaming history and such.

Gundam Reconguista is also underrated (6.53), probably by the same grumpy old men hating on Ronja. Imo it should definitely be in the 7.xx range. It's fun so far and too early to judge the story.

Nanatsu no Taizai is underwatched. How can Inou-Battle and Trinity Seven have more viewers than this? Not only considering the difference in quality but also the fairly popular source material.
I probably regret this post by now.

How'd you find Fate, Jizzy?
Aside from some awkward exposition at points I think its really solid so far, i have an preference for slow things so its quite up my alley so far and see alot of potential for shirou to develop as a character, I'm surprised at how little i remember from the game now so to the point where im not sure if i remember the ending.

Ronja's enjoyment depends on how much fun you consider a little girl running around for three episodes for worldbuilding. But the plot seems to be picking up with the 5th. CGI is automatically -1 on MAL, until the show finishes airing at least.

SeHa Girls' score is only slightly below average for shorter shows, I think. It's fun if you understand the references, but everything outside of their talk of gaming is pretty average. Also CGI, but it works in this case.

I more or less agree with the first three, but is Nanatsu no Taizai underwatched, or only on MAL? That number does seem low for what I was led to believe (for the amount of discussion generated) to be a popular shonen manga.

I just find the whole cast of Ronja very likable, and what better way for worldbuilding than curious explorations? I agree that the plot is picking up, but I could honestly watch 50+ episodes of this even if it were episodic.

As for SeHa girls, I don't even understand all the references but still find it strangely fun. But then again references to stuff that doesn't relate to me never bothers me much, some of them are explained and others I can figure out for myself without prior knowledge. I guess I just enjoy the concept of personified consoles and entering (oldschool) games, even when I don't know the games ^^. And it's executed pretty well, though aside from that the show doesn't have much to offer, but that's concept shows for you.

And good question about Nanatsu. I could imagine it to be more popular in social media circlescompared to MAL, but maybe the manga fans also want to wait until it has finished airing and aren't in any hurry to pick it up yet. Or maybe the show just needs more Ban for the hype to start.
I probably regret this post by now.

I'm actually liking SeHa girls; I just find the slice-of-life segments, like the weather girl bit, not nearly as interesting. I'm also disappointed they did not do a full-on PSO episode. Hoping they remedy that later on.

Because harems. lol

Ronja's been a "meh" so I put it on hold for now. I'm 3 episodes in though. Usually CGI doesn't bother me (like in Sidonia and Nobunaga) but I feel like this style doesn't suit the series at all.

i really like it so far but i have a bad feeling it may degrade as the show goes on, mainly because of the 3 other girls from the high school club having no real chemistry with one another and i feel like as the show goes on it may focus on them as a group rather than just the struggles of being an animator

I'm liking Shirobako a lot too, to the point it might be one of my favourites so far. Definitely a danger as to what the show might do with the other girls at this point, but I think the seiyuu is pretty well rounded - it's the CGI and writer who seem a little bland, I think.

The MC is great though. As of ep 5, I feel as if Takanashi (the idiot PA) is an arse and idiot to an almost unbelievable degree.

Yeah the red headed voice actress girl seems pretty well rounded, but im more worried as to her chemistry with other characters when they talked, sure we only saw one instance of it but that scene was the only time in the show i was really bored because it felt like a bunch of disembodied dialogue.

and i second what you said, Aoi is a great MC.

i meant directing in the sense of, the long cuts and lack of scene transitions feel very amateur, like i feel most japanese live action feels very lacking in polish and garo seemed to be that from the first episode i saw. So not in tomino sense at all cause directing in anime and live action are radically different.

the thing that turned me off had nothing to do with it doing something wrong but rather my expectations, basically i dig the anime garo's medieval setting but the live action garo is just current japan and i was kind of interested in the franchise partially because of the setting, ill still give it a watch someday that just put me off from watching it currently.

I haven't really seen enough Jap live-action to judge, though I do think I've noticed a similar sort of thing. But on the other-hand the good part of what I've seen is tokusatsu targetted at younger audiences (and a often poorly aged), so that probably excaberated things.

The kind with loads of melodrama.

It has a bit of a fantasy tilt to it, but it seems the show has largely forgotten it even has that.

mine are more based on movies, which range from having very good directing to a level of quality more akine to an indie director's first movie trying to direct a blockbuster action.

The whole ending (especially if we include Shamballa) was just bad. The original did, however, do a better job at characterizing the homunculi. I'm about 50-50 with this one.
