| Well, that's interesting!! I mean, the idea of Hide and Arima cooperating. Of course Hide wanted to save Kaneki, but it was impossible for a 'ghoul' to be left alive after such siege (Arima also said he can't let "GHOUL" pass by V14 point), sooo he had to think about a way to "kill" his ghoul part. Also, I didn't realize it ealier because Kaneki, after being stabbed in the left eye (now I think it wasn't coincidence), was talking some brainshit, but... Chapter 139, page 6 Isn't it like, Kaneki TALKING inside his head with Hide? Kaneki is about to lose his sanity completely but inner voice of Hide is trying to explain that he should calm down, because he's wrong - like, wrong that Arima is his enemy. Then I totally don't get what that "AINU" was, the whole scene got into totally new level of everything. I digged something on wikipedia, but I still can't get references to ainu's culture. It seemed like Arima was killing all other ghouls mercilessly but he took enough liking in some mysterious way to Kaneki to talk to him... and all those trolling not-ended sentences like "Oh, so you are...!". When Arima again hit his eye, Kaneki lost consciousness and had some inner mind talk and white Kaneki reunited with black Kaneki. Aaaand it leads us to Sasaki. I can see it made this way but... well, I hope we will get answers!! Also, at this point Kaneki was able to inner-talk with Hide. It's hard to say what Hide did so Kaneki was able to do this. And that would also fit why Sasaki has some features of Hide's. |

| To speak the truth, all this Sasaki thing is quite confusing, although I have no doubt that it is Kaneki and those freaking scientists who created those... Quinckes also tampered with him. It's odd, since he's so different and all... I just can't wait to see how Arima behaves around him etc. (it might just give us a hint about what happened). I'm also curious to find out what happened to Touka, Yoshimura and the others. Oh God *-* |

| A great start I thought to this sequel series. I wonder how long it would've taken me to figure out Haise was Kaneki if I hadn't known prior to going into it. |

| I know it's just one chapter but... I don't like it. I don't want any new characters. I want Touka, Hinami, Ayato and the rest. I don't want 20 world / backstory building chapters for these characters. And Sasaki is cringy. :/ Plus making half ghoul investigators is so... lame? Like that's exactly what every single mangaka would've done. I mean I will keep on reading, there's no way I'm dropping TG after how amazing the first part was but eh... That was a bad first impression. |

| Awww yeaaaah! Tokyo Ghoul:RE. This is going to be a fun ride. My man Haise Sasaki eating naan bread with Akira Mado. Yippee!!! Haise got the big boy job of mentoring the quinx and training them to surpass Arima Kisho. Hell, he even got Arima to borrow his books. Now that's some quality bonding time. But being an incompetent mentor that he is, Haise left Urie and Shirazu to act alone on the Torso case and quickly got to the scene on time. It was really cool to see Urie and Shirazu battle it out with the fake Torso taxi cab driver. As well as reading the quinx squad daily reports at the end of this panel. So investigator Urie felt it was imperative that the squad conduct solo individual investigations to perform at the highest level. What squad leader that he turned out to be. This annoys me. They should be working as a team dammit! |
