Hey I love your usename. I've been reading your messages in the Mushishi forum and just wanted to check your profile. I'm in Canada too lol. DO you, by any chance, live in Ontario?
-Sonal- Feb 7, 2018 5:39 AM
Your name 😂
LoneWolf Dec 28, 2016 5:49 PM
I haven't eaten any in a while. I try not to eat deep fried stuff these days, I don't think they are particularly tasty but I've only had the kind that are frozen ones in the store. I imagine the ones made by scratch are a lot tastier. I tried making paratha from scratch once, tasted a lot better than store bought varieties.

Honestly I'm not really sure where I wanted to go with this convo, the name just really peaked my curiously lol.

Why is your name a traditional Bengali snack?
Trance Mar 18, 2016 9:58 AM
No, you only understand yours. Unless you're a poet.
I didn't mean that literally, plus that's haram. Holeeey....sheez... feminists get pissed by being called 'miss'?! Got it. Oi, don't play around with my loyalty to fate. There's a peculiar calm in being controlled that you won't understand. Not until you have come over the pain of accepting the notion of being controlled.

That's what they said about the evolution theory too; and that turned out to be true. That's what the philistines say to every piece of truth that doesn't fit in with their 'smaller than life' worldview.

If there was something as 'chance', then this whole world would be something other than what it is. The only 'chance' that could be, is the existence of universe or God. Once a process has been initiated, it follows a probabilistic route. The probability tree branches out and goes on branching out but the process itself follows only one route ultimately. I roll a dice. There are six branches to its probability tree. But the outcome will only be one. The same process, by inductive reasoning, occurs at a larger, universal level. I take the example of what I'm going to do in the next hour, there are near-infinite possibilities which become infinite if I disregard the laws of logic. But, in the next hour, of the nigh infinite possibilities available to me, I will only be doing what was already in those branches. Whatever I do, was a possibility in the tree of my doing. A chance happening would be something which cannot be conceived; which would not already be as a branch in the probability tree of a process. But we haven't observed any such thing as a 'chance'. If bump into my oldest friend tomorrow whom I haven't seen in years, one might casually proclaim, ''This meeting was a chance happening''. But, consider this: I conceived it. Therefore, it was already probable. A chance would be improbable.

You might raise the question here: Probability doesn't imply determinism; that if something is probable, it only means ''it can happen'' not that it will. To that, I answer in this way: consider the toss of a coin; by the laws of mathematics and physics, I can determine which side of the coin will fall down. Therefore, it was determined; though not by the probability theory.

But here's the thing: The infinite possibilities make the notion of fate irrelevant to our daily lives. So, yes, you can lavish your free will.

Grief isn't a human construction. It's biology's. What makes you think I feel restricted? Look, have you ever thought that those who accept the notions of fate, evolution and all those ideas which take away from human the uniqueness which was previously ascribed to him, are somehow the most self-willed as well? This contradiction I term, 'The bliss of knowing'; contrary to the bliss of ignorance. An ignorant rejoices in the idea of free will. A knowledgeable man actually practices it. Every idea can be real internally and an illusion externally or vice versa. By internally accepting the idea of fate as truth/real, I make it an illusion externally; I don't feel it. Just like the kid who learned to ride bicycle, I don't feel that I have learnt or that I'm riding bicycle; I just ride it as a flower has scent and a rock solidity (You can see Pessoa's influence here). Only those who don't learn to ride a bicycle will feel like riding one or learning to ride one.

If even a quarter of that is true, then I sympathize with you. Because I was faced with a similar situation the past two months.
If a lady isn't offended by age or food, then her weak spot is her height. Bazinga! no? Ok. As social creatures, the sort you've described are actually doing us offenders a favor. They're letting us know what offends them and hence giving us a hint to strengthening our position in the society. Screw those ladies that get offended by aristocratic manners. I wouldn't want to hit on a lady like that.

More people have been reported to be allergic to dairy products than to soup. By giving yogurt a place under 'soup', I'm doing it a favor. It's exactly like how people mistrust Muslims that have beards but if they don't have beards, they're fine. By shaving someone else's beard, I am, in the bigger sphere of his reality, doing him a favor. He may feel offended that I'm taking away his identity but ultimately, it is for his own good. The same case is with yogurt.

The unpredictability of humans doesn't imply the usually conjectured denial of fate (which I previously termed 'programmed'); it only implies either the limits of our analysis or the limits of our accountability of the factors that influence human behavior. The mind is influenced either from inside or from outside. The human behavior follows a strict code of 'cause and effect'. Without any cause, there will be no effect. The obscurity of causes that lead to human behavior do not imply their own nonexistence. The hardwired parts are only what neuroscience has bestowed upon us hitherto. It may discover more hardwired patterns in the future. Moreover, the changes in neuronal mappings caused by external or internal stimuli may also follow a rigid route thus further proving the existence of a program or a fate. What leads to individualism is only the variance in the multitude of influencing factors available to each individual.

I admit my foolish statement. If I am only a mere biological species then I mustn't grieve the absence of a metaphysical standard of morality or anything at all.
Trance Jan 6, 2016 8:21 AM
Did I offend you?
Trance Jan 4, 2016 10:36 PM
Except that today is not that 'one day' neither are you that pretty young mademoiselle nor do I understand the logic behind getting offended. Do we get offended because we're called what we are or is it because we're called what we are not? either way makes negative sense.

We're all robots; merely unconscious of our actions. If we were conscious, we would know to what extent are we 'programmed'. Curiosity is a curse.
I'm not intelligent. I'm identified as intelligent. Do I get hurt? No. Matter of fact is, we'll get offended even if we're identified as who we are if what we are isn't universally acceptable. If I'm stupid and I'm called stupid, then I will still get offended because being 'stupid' isn't deemed good - it bases, of course, on no objective criteria but simply due to a mismatch it accounts for when put in context of our societies. So, yogurt is alone in its identification as a 'yogurt'; I'm pretty sure no one would want to be alone. So I put it under soup; one, to remove the discrimination it faces and two to help it feel that it 'belongs' somewhere.

There's no better or worse when there's no criteria for it in the first place.
Trance Jan 3, 2016 3:41 AM
If you're older than I, you're a ma'am.

Why are you asking me? Do I have a will? I just do whatever's been programmed for me already.
That's some high-level discrimination. Foodism. Yogurt has just as much right to be called a soup that soup has.

That's the only depth at which I accept subjectivity. We all are here to serve our own functions. Our ambitions are not what we decide, it's already decided. We just play out our own part deluded by the concept of 'free will'. I have only chosen the path that would benefit me less and others more. That is all.
Trance Jan 1, 2016 9:50 PM
Only humans are known to be schizophrenic, ma'am.

What do you mean by 'everything else'? Is there something else in the world besides literature and philosophy?
Look, what disqualifies yogurt from being called a soup? what is the definition of soup?

Pfft! hedonists. There's something I always say: If I had a thousand years to live, I'd fail 950 years and only taste the taste of victory in the last 50 years. I desire personal growth. For that, failure, and hence sorrow, is necessary.
Trance Dec 31, 2015 10:35 PM
What cancer-infected, psychically messed up, schizophrenic brains were you consuming?
inb4 ''yours hu huhu im so funneh'. Checkmate.

I only have good taste. Are you telling me Rumi, Plato, Erich Fromm, Wittgenstein, Camus, Epicurus were all bad?
You know there's this soup I really love which we here call 'yogurt'. I love that.

Fuck the stars!

I only aim to accomplish death. Thank you. May you have a good year too because happiness isn't essentially 'good'.
Trance Dec 31, 2015 4:00 AM
You need a brain transplant. Your current one has been plagued and rotted away by the excessive long-term consumption of dalpuri.

Sorry ma'am. Can't believe that. I'm a Pessoa fanboy and I believe people are the size of what they see; you can't be that big.
Pleiades can go to hell.
Culinary happens to be my weakest spot. Don't people put milk in soups?
Trance Dec 29, 2015 7:38 AM
You're already salty enough.

I did. Only to realize my manhood is infinite.
Your joke would have been a hit had you not missed the tense of my previous comment. I said my mid-terms are 'nigh'. Which means they'll occur in the near future; not that they are occurring right now. Good effort though.

Trance Dec 27, 2015 11:23 PM
If only my hands were big enough... oh wait, they are but... fkn arthritis.... well I don't have that.. I guess it's just laziness *yawn* screw my manhood, I'll pick it up some other day.

Ecstatic in all the wrong ways.
Hi zombie-puri chan!
My mid-terms are nigh. And my preparations are .. sigh...
gon get rekt dis year too
Trance Dec 18, 2015 1:42 AM
Perpy sounds so.... pervy...
And my God, 'genny'?

My manhood is slipping from my hands...
