I don't know what's with everyone so freaked out about a letter, which might have been wrote 3 years before, in red inc :) telling you to save her. I mean, she looks all fine maybe she gets pissed off easily, but she still look like she's fine... ehrrr, anyway...

Sana tried to kill himself with a knife because he didn't have any friends while he was away :O mystery solved. nvm, i'll just check how this ends.

Awesome. Dramatic,Mysterious,Sad,Tearjerking,Romantic. They gat way too into the reason behind the caramel.Nanaka's side was interesting. What freaks me out is that I thought Nanaka's "HELP ME" message was written in blood so that scared me.I thought "Wat the hell is going on?!". The next episode sounds like a filler.

I have to say that this will one of my favorite episodes from this series. It great. I was really surprised by the contents of the mail box. Especially the note where she said that she needed help, because it was in bold red.

So both of them have a dark past. Right after she said she had needed him, the watch was shown so it does have a meaning.

But also I wonder what the other occurrences that have taken place since he arrived have to do with them. I'm sure they are connected but still its wired. Everything is connected somehow and that in my opinion makes it even more interesting.

I'll leave the remaining 5 episodes for later to enjoy properly. After I've been watching this all afternoon and its late already.

God what a bitch Nanaka is. The tragic past made her less detestable but nevertheless, she's still a bitch.

Pretty good episode ^_^ Sometimes fighting, yelling, or screaming at each other is the best solution to a problem. It get things out of the way and let the other know how you felt. ^_^

I like how this episode covers what happened and helps explain the story's plot a lot. It really catches your attention when you see all those letters and some of the words on them. You can only wonder what she was going through while he was gone. Its like how if you were to go through a dramatic event how it would change your life and reflect your story. But you can only wonder what Sana was going through at the same time Nanaka was going through problems in her life. "Out of sight, out of mind" as she said and yet still she wanted to be saved by him. Its definately a sad overtone and really emotional which it makes it even more interesting as to how it will end.

...is it wrong that I laughed very hard during that confrontation at the mailbox? Because I did. It's like the more melodramatic it got, the bigger my smile got.

Don't get me wrong. I'm actually thoroughly enjoying this show right now, more than I expected to. But I don't think I was supposed to be cracking up right then. xD

Better than the other episodes. I'm still not THAT impressed, though. Almost all of episodes 2-7 was filler.

The first 5/5 I've given to an episode so far.

"Help me". I swear, I haven't been so shook of an anime scene for a long, long time. I noticed a few things this episode. Sana was about to say something when being accused of having fun everyday but stopped himself and looked at his watch. I'm sure everyone can deduct that he has permanent scars of some sort that he's hiding.

I think that both Sana and Nanaka went through similar experiences throughout those 5 years and longed for each others help. I really need to know what happened to Sana. Nanaka had every right to behave the way she did from the beginning. I hope they both can make it through this.

So this episode we learn about Nanaka's tragic past. Can't blame her for her attitude now as that would definitely result in a trauma for anyone. The part where Sana and Nanako embraced each other was definitely the best moment of the anime for me so far.

Damn that was an impressive episode, we finally got to know the backstory from Nanaka and what actually happened to her (flashblack/not willing to play violin) and as we still don't know what happened with his friends (origin from his watch) this episode still was wonderful! I especially loved the ending, I really wonder what he'll do next!

Best episode so far imo.

So we learn Nanaka's parents died in a fire. That's really sad. That letter with the HELP ME on it was really odd and wonder if it is for some other reason? *shrug* Really want to know now what the meaning behind Sana's watch is as their was that obvious zoom in at it!

Thinking back now, I had a feeling that post would have some kind of memories to Sana when he tapped it in the first episode. Never imagined it would play such a big role though. Shivers ran down my spine when the Sana opened the post up to find all of those desperately written out letters pleading for help. When Shuusuke said that there was a fire, I think he used the word kaji. Strange, I'm pretty sure that's the old lady's name from the home.

That end scene was emotional, but the strongest part was when they cut over to Sana's watch and then his expression when he tried to respond to Nanaka. I'm sure he was agonizing over his own scars and whether or not to share them.

I usually like melodrama, but this was way too melo.

Anyway, isn't there some inconsistencies about times? The teacher said met Sana when he was a third year in Junior High, but it's impossible that passed just 2 or 3 years because 1st: teacher in the flashback seemed to be still in highschool, and 2nd because Sana has been away from that town for 5 years.

Now we just have to know he past of Sana and the mystery behind that crazy old geezer lady.
Next episode seems another pointless filler. Why couldn't this be an OVA?

Didn't anyone ever teach that Sana dweeb not to take candy from strangers? smh...

The traumatic backstory episode, eh? And we won't out the details of MC's past until the very end, I'm sure. The VN narrative layout is rearing its head in true form.

Loved this episode though. That climax was beautiful.

Now THIS is the kind of episode I was looking for. Needless to say, best episode yet.

Also, maybe this will just end up being my wild theory, but when Sana speaks on his landline phone, is there actually anyone on the other side? We never hear his mother's voice, and I always thought it was weird his room even has a landline, or why she doesn't just call him on his cell phone instead. I wouldn't be surprised if he's simply calling himself, in order to cope with whatever trauma he has.

Hm.. Sana getting pissed.. I hope he's not transforming into Makoto from School Days..
Dafuq?! That "SAVE ME SAVE ME SAVE ME" in red letters creeped the fuck out of me..
That's a sweet habit actually.. That sensei gives one caramel to people around.. Small and sweet.. ;p If I'd talk more with people, maybe I'd like to try giving around caramels as well - by one, in random moments.. ;p
So what's the business with that clock..?
And.. I guess, I'm a bit relieved they talked about this situation with Nanaka..? But also a bit worried that something might go badly..

The first few episodes were dull, but it's been more entertaining lately. Nanaka's VA is great, and the maibox scene is worth remembering.

I'm very late on this discussion but the "Help Me" scene was just disturbing yet unsettling for me. Especially watching it midnight, although Nanaka is definitely scarred with that past. (Man.. I hate that I missed this amazing animes also being a late bloomer of being an anime watcher.)

Where this episode was weak, it was weak-- slow, boring, and cliche. Where this episode was strong, it was strong-- the plot elements introduced in the middle of the episode were surprising new elements that I didn't see coming. I quite enjoyed that. I just wish what was supposed to be the best episode of the entire series hadn't turned out to be in reality just an inconsistent, up-and-down episode. Overall rating through eight episodes is 6.5/10. Episode nine is next!
