THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Me like this episode a lot but less than last one. I did not understand why town flooded in the beginning and other parts not flooded. Never explained. I liked Everyone's emotional complexes. Yuki and the tea throwing at Kuraki. New devices (one even for the eye) to see who is sub and who is not. The parties. The fights....all kanpeki (perfect) to me. Kuro new dress is still uruwashii (beautiful). Me know also that Kuraki like Reishin just has other methods.

I did not like: Mentality of Yuki's relative to complain she not Master root. Is stupid since Kuraki fix Yuki anyways so she not meet Akane. Noble one admiral being with Kaionji (not really but still shook hands).

LOL! LOL! LOL! Take that Kuraki!

LOL! LOL! LOL! He look so miserable even if he angry.

O_O Onegai kamisama! Onagai! Akane saikoro nie! (Please GOD! Please! Akane not die!). Me not like they stop there. Now me have wait till next time.

Whoa, shit just got real, lol. Things kind of have turned around indeed for this series, and I'm genuinely interested in what's going to happen given where things left off. I'm noticing that the role of the whiny, uncertain, has really shifted from Keita to Kuro. Maybe that was the setup all along. An interesting story going on with Akane's sub, they could have cleaned up the fight scenes and dialogue, usual Kurokami stuff. But this was in the right direction I'd say. And the Akane gun to the head is will probably be resolved in the first minute or two of the next episode, as Yakumo and Riona or Kuro and Keita run in.

So now Kuro is being the weak person of the duo; I'm not really liking it, but I can understand why one would hesitate when you are basically killing somebody. I'm starting to like the latter half of the series because Keita isn't being a baby anymore.

Well that sucks, Kuro becomes weak because she doesn't want to shorten the life of Keita, when Keita decides that he wants to fight. Thanks to Keita's speech, Akane might die due to what Keita said about breaking fate's chains. Kuraki, to me, seems like a very lame villian... Kuraki better develop into a more villainous role. The loyal Noble One members seems so weak without Steiner and Bernheart on their side.

I take it back what I said last time, the show still sucks. The role of the whiny wuss goes around.

btw, Keita has a new VA?

I do not like the Akane, and I would be happy if she died.
But surely this will not happen...
And i'm really tired of these disturbances Kuro, fight already....

Interesting to learn about the old man at the end.

Not too bad of an episode but still falls short of the previous... but what is up with the subs, they seem to be taking a lot longer now (has the show been dropped?).

Ehh, this was an ok episode. I'm finding it more and more difficult to get myself to finish the show.

Quick question though: Has this 'seeing subs and roots power always existed?' or can only special Motosumitama and roots do this. If not, then why didn't she realize early on what she was doing? Kuro seems to be quite ignorant of the way her own world works.

Also, is Keita's root going to play a role at all since my theory about Ibuki failed. Maybe they're saving him for later.

i guess it has always been like this, since at the party everyone(master roots) seemed to be able to detect that Keita was a sub , 100% master roots.
As for Motosumitama im not too sure, <_<

Motosumitama have always been able to since Kuro made the contract with Keita knowing he was a sub.

The power was probably added only recently, to differentiate the subs and the roots more effectively for the viewers. And Keita is probably one of those special guys from most shounen animes who do not fit into the norm. Hes probably not a normal sub, not gonna be a minus root, but something more powerful than a master root.

By the way it was ironic how Keita's words made Yuki fought against fate to kill Akane. If Akane died (which I doubt) then Keita would probably emo again

Ya the power was already there they just never showed us what Motosumitama and master roots could see. In one of the first episodes Kuro flat out says she can see that Keita is a sub and explains thats one of the reasons why she saved him.

I'm still under the impression that all the deaths by a 3rd party seeing your sub are BS. If that was the case then Yuki would have died a long time ago because Ibuki saw Akane in person with his own eyes and mentioned it to her. If you watch one of the first episodes, Keita's next door neighbor (the little girl) says that one of her friends saw someone that looked just like her, and then she gets hit by a car after mentioning it. This proves that if the system did follow that rule then Yuki would be dead.

So in short, I still think the group was deliberately killing off subs to create roots. I think this is what they mean by "artificially creating roots". I'll even go as far as to say that the whole Sub dieing from seeing a root also seems like BS to me. Like I posted in other threads, I think the subs die whenever their supposed to die. Be it by natural cause or by getting killed by a person or animal. The only difference is that their luck gets passed on to their root. I think the group where the ones causing the killing and I think people just started spreading rumors that if you saw your double you would die.

Next episode:
My theory is that Akane somehow persuades Yuki to join her and Keita and when she finally agrees Ibuki will barge in and mess shit up. Keita will show up some talking and arguing will happen and a random battle will start causing a gun to be fired and kill Yuki on accident thus making it seem that she died because she saw her root.

I did forget that that was a reason that Kuro saved Keita.

As for that little girl being killed, I thought she said that she had seen someone who looked like her, herself. I don't even remember this 3rd party rule.

But yeah, they are purposefully killing subs to create master roots.

Pretty soon, though, we do need to find out what Keita is...because I still don't believe he is a sub.

Keita's entrance was about the coolest he's looked...well, the coolest he's looked. Kuraki was cool until he started spouting all that sugary bs so I wasn't upset when he was interrupted. Take it as my pessimism or...disdain but I hope Yuki just shoots her.

Keita is better than old Keita now because I liked how he fights hardly against to his fate as he joined Kuro to fight Sawamura. There’s few good fights, and the end at the episode is interesting because I wonder which one who will die.

Subs are treated horribly no matter who makes the policies, evidently.
