Good episode. All the other HiMEs are defeated at this point and Mai finally meets Lord Kokuyou, or Reito in other words. Mai refuses Reito wanting to create a new world, and it seems they'll be fighting in the last episode. I can't wait to see how this ends.

Hmm I was wondering why they didn't show the battle with Mikoto, however then why was her pillar erect O_O? The land of Fuuka should still be sealed then =/ also nice to see a bit about the Director how she was also the previous Kagutsuchi user and all ^^"

Yeah... Is it going to be as simple as smashing the pillars?

I was disappointed not to see more Mikoto vs MIYU, but in compensation, at least Nagi appears to be on the verge of getting royally rewarded for 25 episodes of trolling.

Finally, oh, finally someone to say this. Been waiting for ages to see if any Hime will ever direct their rage to the ones responsible instead of idiotically fighting each other. Hats off to Miyu.

I liked the music during Natsuki x Shizuru battle, especially the intro part when it sounded so ''matador-ish''. Ole!

I somehow felt that there would be a mutual destruction in our lesbian fiasco battle. And I also felt that it would come down to a Mai vs. Mikoto clash too...Curious to see the ending now.

Sure, kill the last 2 characters that aren't actually cringeworthy for the sake of edginess. Hell, the ending will be most likely shit, like 90% of the whole series.

Also, Veronin says "good episode" every episode and then gives this a 4, m-muh low ratings!

Seems like Netsuki returns at least some of Shizuru's feelings, otherwise they shouldn't both disappear.

Mikoto vs. Mai - if Mikoto is really defeated, who will disappear now? The Obsidian Prince, or Mai?

Miyu is the wild card here, will destroy the pillars bring back everyone? That seems to be hinted with Alyssa's voice appearing.

"I want Mai's ramen" those words always get me :'''(

Good thing Midori didn't delete Miyu's memory. Alyssa's voice can guide her! (Although idk what she's doing in the Valhalla gate since she isn't a really Hime but I'm sure there's some reasoning for it).

Super pumped to watch the final episode!!!!!

I have foreseen ever since around episode 20, there is just too many characterts getting killed, it feels like they will do it.

I bet she will be reject by the Obsidian Prince next episode, after all, he is crazy for Mai, and has been using his sister has a tool.

So Natsuki really loves Chizuru, that love made Duran stronger, strong enough so he could destroy Chizuru's child... guess when you love someone so much, it is hard to see them destroying themselves so much, as Shizuru had done to herself, that is why Natsuki had to do it. I found it a sad and adorable moment. The plot really has came very far. Alot of build up this point.
I love that this show approuched the theme of love as something that can save, and also destroy you, there is always love in most of the stories, but most kinda forget about this.

If you dont like the characters you probably wont like the series either, even if the plot is this good, it relies on character built, it is all about the characters.
Also you are missing the point, the guys ratings have changed, time can do that. If we never changed through our live, life would be soo boring.

Aside I could see most of these stuff happening, great episode.

In this episode, we finally find out who Mikoto's brother is, although I figured that out already beforehand. I think this is the episode were Nagi confronts Shiho, and we all know what Swirlhead is anyway, no surprise there.

Yeesh Shizuru is such a garbage person. Good on Natsuki for killing that stupid character, but did they really have to ruin her writing with whatever that crappy writing right before her death was?

"A child is a strange creature born out of the love for another. The strength of that love is that child's power."

This revelation is outright offensive. It implies that Kagutsuchi was that strong, because none of the other Hime's love to the person most precious to them was even a fraction of what Mai's was for Tate. And that was by Episode 2.

I already expressed my dissatisfaction with how the romance aspect is handled. But this takes it to new lows.

Despite talking to him like maybe twice back then, she already loved him a magnitude of times more than every other hime did their most precious ones. Including Nao's love for her mother.

Let that sink in for a moment.

This series worships Mai way too much. She can do no wrong. Every character reaffirms her that her decision was right. There is not a single character that doesn't loves, respect or fear her, including even the villains. Nagi saying that she was the best there ever was just reaffirms this.

She can even manifest Deus Ex Machina powers to save the day, which she did in every arc's finale now.

The final battle is here at last, it’s sad that Natsuki didn’t make it but with Shizuru being the way she was, there was no other way, and despite Shizuru’s dastardly deeds, it was nice to see her love requited, rip that kendo guy I guess, Natsuki decided to sail the yuri seas lol, but at the same time you could also take what she said just as a general love too, because Shizuru was the first to change her life for the better, I’m honestly not totally certain which is correct but it was a nice scene.

It’s also cool seeing Miyu being badass and a key part of the final act, she was a villain before and was even the first to take out a HiME’s child, but now she’s fighting the true enemy behind everything, she also has different colored outfits like alt colors in a fighting game lol. And it’s interesting that she was able to detect Alyssa, this has me wondering if what I’ve been thinking for a bit is true, that the ones that fade away don’t die, but are instead inside the pillars, guessing we’ll find out in the next and final episode, also not sure if that was Miyu self destructing there or not, i hope it wasn’t but if it was, that’s hell of a blaze of glory to go out in.
