| Okay, last time I said I thought this anime was going to be full of japanese culture and folklore... This time, casually popped up Funiculì Funiculà, a traditional song of my own country, a reference to the painting "Liberty Leading the Poeple" and... Lum. Okay, okay, I give up xD I loved this episode xD and the ost is great, seriously! |
| I can see why the source material for this got nominated for the Taishô Manga Awards 2012. It's very well-written by which I mean it sets up its comedic parts well by using the cast members' chemistry between each other and implementing traditional folkloristic elements and wordplay in a surreal and creative mix with mundane aspects of daily life and cultural curiosities rather than relying on randomness or whacky humour. This show is shaping up as one of the top well-crafted shows this season with its, I dare say, sophisticated demeanor even if the first part of this week's episode focused on undergarment (or perhaps for that very reason and how nonchalant it treated it?) |

| Hoozuki casually bludgeoning his superior with a spiked club was pretty hilarious. Also, is that an urusei yatsura reference? I can't exactly say why but I'm getting really fond of this show. It's pretty mediocre in terms of enjoyment but it's pretty relaxing especially after watching emotionally exhausting shows like Nagi no Asakura. |

| This show feels so relaxing. It is well written, animated and executed, but at the same time it doesn't bring up any emotions on me. I must say I'm quite conflicted. |

| At least this fared better to me than the last episode, which didn't get a smile out of me. I still don't like the way insists to underline some of the jokes afterwards, like in the case of the mask to ward off evil spirits and the "oh my god"-line. I know the reason is probably because Hozuki was meant to be the tsukkomi character in these situations, but you either have to time the straight line faster or make the jokes less obvious. For that they lost the comedic momentum in those situations, even though both of those jokes were pretty funny in their own right. I also saw Finland coming a mile away when Satan was talking about weird japanese competitions. Oh, and Narasaki composed the song and Kenji Ootsuki wrote the lyrics on the new ending. It's brilliant, I love it. |

| Am definitely enjoying this show more than I thought I would. Hoozuki's humor is very dry, but pretty entertaining. Satan was hillarious, especially when he read the typo. So since he called out to God for help, is this the end of the world? I did like the Lum reference, though as a whole I'm not fond of Takahashi's work. |

| "Oh, my god!", that was pretty funny lol, that Engrish, and that Urusei Yatsura reference... I also thought of Lum with the tiger striped bikini. |
| This show has a "WTF" feel to it, and yet I'm just snickering the entire time--it's considerably a lot better than last episode. This may be my pleasant surprise of the season if this keeps it up. |
