| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Excellent episode. I really enjoyed Shima as navigator of sorts and then that turning into a really pleasing Kodai Shima affair. Whole thing really worked to develop them separately with those silly elementary tasks to clean the ship to a really awesome finish for them. Both easily my favorite characters among the cast. Garmillan stuff was rather compelling. The new commander, the hunter of sorts, seems like he'd really get the job done and wont be a pushover like the previous ones within our solar system. The Milky Way Theatre is heating up and the preview for 13 looks incredible. Mod Edit: Please use spoiler tags for large images. |

| Also a good little discussion by Okita on a soldier's duty and conflict with the responsibility of being a human. It looks like the "ghost" on board the ship is getting more active as well. The Garmillans are rapidly evolving from the cardboard cutout "evil aliens" they started out as. |

| 5/5 A bit of the mystery that surrounds Mori is going to be said, but much remains to be discovered, while others are added to this making the vision exciting, interesting plot that makes the situation even in enemy territory, visitors are much more similar to the land, but this one could also imagine. Still do not show many elements to evaluate the relationships between Kodai and the female audience! Shinya, I already becoming disagreeable, Niimi what's going to plotting and what will that presence on Yamato? Dialogues well set up, I like! |

| What's with the hotline? I think there's more to the Garmillas commanding circle that meets the eye. I wonder who Dessler is talking to? Kodai and Yuki have been getting closer the last couple of episodes. How will Akira react if at all? |

I'm glad it spend pretty much an entire episode on the conflicted feelings of some of the characters, but the conclusion just being "don't think about it" seems pretty lame. It's true that people often can't agree on the interpretations of the actions of others (i.e. history), but Shima's consternation is focused on a very specific instance for which there really is one single answer. Also, as usual, I find it impossible to imagine that Kodai has strong feelings about anything. He is so bland. |

| The beauty of this anime is really starting to show now. Especially loved how they focused quite a lot on the Garmillian Commander. Nice to see he has a family (beautiful wife). I'm really hoping nothing bad happens to him... Very Touching episode and with that ED song it felt.....WOW. |
| Yuki Mori has a nice ass. xD Great episode it seems after Yamamoto's time with Melda she has come to not hate them anymore. I'm pretty sure Shima will one day come to understand them too. Dat space sub at the end. |

| Quite surprised no one mentioned this yet, but for me the biggest revelation this episode was that Kodai now knows the Terran Navy fired first! If Okita told him about disobeying the order to fire, he must have also told him about Shimo's father seeing it through, and if not Kodai would have figured it out himself easily. I assumed it was an Iscandarian, and that Iscandaria is the planet just above Gamila. They seem to have some kind of treaty, but Dessler is plotting to anex it. | A bit of a slow pacing but in general that ending sure was interesting! Those damn submarines! Quite sad they changed the ED song again, but well let's see what's next. |

| Episode that says a lot about how this anime series is able to exploit in the best way possible every minute to tell something without ever wasting time in trivial things. Here is also the figure of the ghost, (I was not expecting it) intriguing dream made by Misaki and who knows what is doing Niimi, is doing a profiling activity on the crew of the Yamato or wants to write a book? Not bad the final twist of scene, that ship is coming too, wow! |

| Domel is the type of commander I would willingly follow behind. Dude not only looks competent, but really give an aura of a hero too. I won't be surprised if I rooted for him in any battle with Yamato later on. Ah, and he also got a gorgeous wife(?) I love they delved more on Garmillan side. One of the things that make LotGH great is how they focus on both (actually more) sides (GE and FPA), so I hope further on they'll show more gray and white side of Garmillan. The 'ghost' on Yamato seems more interesting. And obviously Mori have connection to it. An of course nice ass in that skinthight suit. Good for Captain to tell Kodai the truth too (albeit not in details) |
| Cool episode focusing on interpersonal relationships. I assume that Desler has some sort of agreement with Iscandarians (the blue planet above Gamila is implied to be Isandar, I guess), and the conflicts between Gamilan higher officers look interesting. Domel looks like a character with a good potential, he seems like an honest person who can doubt the government (same for 2 officers he was riding with). I enjoyed that the entire half of the episode was dedicated to Gamilas. Really. The only bad thing was the CGI crowd, but that didn't last long, so whatever. The mystery on Yamato is exciting too. I loved the reference to Ophelia in the hospital room where Yuki was sleeping :P And yes, the ending song is gorgeous. |
| I'm surprised to see the amount of screen time the Garmillas are getting, its a really good thing, shows the writers have a willingness to flesh out the story from both sides, they really went deep on this new commander and when he inevitably faces the Yamato, it might be sad to see either go. Also yeah, fanservice is getting a bit too much. |
