In Irabu's office. Then... it's after getting shot but they say he doesn't become animal form. The patient say huh? The patient's name is Mitsuo Tanabe, Nickname: Nabeman.
About Bando again and he's watching and being interviewed. No matter the interviewers asking, he said no comment. Interviewers included Iwamura. The flashlights from the camera makes him see darkness and the scenes of farmers working in an old time place. He then fell. After waking up, he jokes around with his personal doctor (Ikeyama), who recommended him to see Irabu.
Panic from pressure. Mayumi, as directed by Irabu, turned the light off. Irabu hugged Nabeman because he's afraid of darkness. He mentioned about the scene he saw. A flashback. One of the symptom of PDSD. Irabu said if he's scared of dying. As for flashlights, it's somewhat helpful to wear sunglasses. Irabu suggested to retire since he has lots of money. He said no, he has lots of things to do.
Irabu and Nabeman went to get sunglasses instead. He explained what he wants to do, to save the world from the world like America. Irabu asked why not becoming a politician. Nabeman said he's a newspaper man. lol @ Seiji Ino there!
Nabeman is watching baseball game now since he's the owner of baseball games. Baseball represents Japan, so it's a good way to involve in saving the world. When he saw Bando's ball hitting the hitter, he is sighing.
Then interviewers asked about that. When Iwamura asked that Bando is revenging, Nabeman is angry and said is Bando a terrorist, then? Bando is NOT and those interviewers ARE!! Then the interviewers got angry.
Next day, there are bad words about Nabeman. He led the people go and is watching the sun. He gets to same symptom. Not only he sees the poors, he also sees other various scenes like street life. Irabu is here and is suggesting retiring or he will either die from the symptom and become old man (?).
Interviewers are in the building and Irabu suggested to hold Nabeman while going out. They asked about terrorist thingy and about if he's going to retire. He said no about retiring. He got the symptom on his car, so he got on Irabu's Open aired car instead. Some photographers are following them and Irabu fastened when one of them are going to take photos. When Nabeman saw people on the street, he saw the flashbacks and he's even one of the people in the flashback (so it's his memory). He's remembering about happy and sad things he experienced before and shortly when he became involved in the job.
Then he went to the stadium and not sitting on the owner seat. He's thinking about the past again. He just realized that Tokyo changed. Irabu said it's 21st century!
The announcement called to change to Bando and a boy is yelling go Bando, he watched him and reminded him of a woman. She is his wife. He talked about the love of baseball and people was happy. Bando hit a homerun. He rose his head and hands and saw his flashback of marrying and having children from the lights in stadium. He became an old man, too. Then Irabu got the ball in front of him!! He said he's tired now and is retiring.
He saw a photo of old him and Irabu on the newspaper. He made an announcement about retiring.
Outside, he's holding books including Hoshiyama's first book. Iwamura and other reporters are waiting for him to ask about his biography. He said ok.
Next ep. (the last ep.) will be Yuta's father, a hospital's vice bucho and the sickness is ? (a surprise)!!

I ♥Two Syaorans from Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and TRC!!!
This episode rocked! When they showed the flashbacks, of the reconstruction, of the Sho-Wa miracle, The hint was there that he was much older than presented. Sha-chou san had done enough. His cure was to appreciate that.
Can't believe there's just one episode left. For once I wouldn't mind a hastily second season announcement. Damn, I keep forgetting how addicting the OP is.
This episode tops all others.
Culmination of the series.
Maybe that is why the previous one was much weaker - to really strike us with this 10th episode.
Everybody just said it, I'll just stack my praise on top of the pile already there.
Damn, that was a good one. We have the usual crossover between characters, and it fit better this time. So, the "animal form" was his younger self, a man with the panic of death, of not having enough time left to do everything he wanted to. The final sequences reminded me of "La maison en petit cubes", one's life in a second. Anyway, I think it was so good (and, by a certain degree, better then most of the other episodes) because you don't get it from the beginning, you aren't given enough hints on purpose: you slowly empathize with the character, and just as slowly you get it, until the extremely well timed revelation finale.
On a last note: I expecially loved the cardboard-crowd role this time: how they turn to real people after he remembers he began his job to help them, the people. So, as he remembers, they pop out of their silence and talk, feel, live.
Some details I still don't understand but this was truly a great episode and as someone said before the warm feeling left at the end of the episode is one of the best things of this series and this episode was a good example of it.
I clapped my hands at the end, seriously. Glorious episode. The passing of time is always a beautiful topic to explore and the directing was superb. An instant classic to me. 5/5.
Kuchu Buranko is back on trail, and sadly, there's only one episode left.
This was probably the deepest Kuchu Buranko episode, and I enjoyed it far too much that I actually felt kind of sad when it ended. This is classic material right here. 5/5
And oh God I came at the fact that Tohru Furuya is the last patient.
This is my favorite episode so far, along with the one with the yakuza. I was confused while viewing the flashbacks thinking "but man, isn't he supposed to be older than that?" I think his youthful state in the majority of the episode embodied that he still had so much energy and ambition.
I share everyone's sadness that next one will be the last. This is the only series this season that made me look forward to next week. Let's hope it'is successful enough in Japan to warrant a sequel some time in the future, that if there will be enough novel material for that.

Me too actually. That was the only show that had an impact on me, and a huge one on that :) I also demand a sequel, though i don't think it will ever have one, but if i cross my fingers and pray to god for the dvds to sell a lot, it might happen,... right?! Unfortunatelly, it's the fate of the majority of the shows of high quality to be underrated in japan. I don't know the ratings on japan tv, if anyone has that info, it would be great to see how KB has been doing in japan.
Ahh man, this must be one of my favorite episodes of this series. It was pretty heartwarming~ I'm so sad to see this show end! Just one more episode... I wonder what will happen?
That was so good. Best resolution of all of the patients so far by a mile. The chase scene was awesome, I can't help but legitimately laugh every time Irabu does something stupid. This episode managed to cover so many different emotions I was just blown away.
Wow... no point saying what everyone else has said, so yeah, just wow. I also just realized that Irabu gets a shit ton of patients all on the same week right before Christmas. I dunno if there's any significance in that or not, but he must make plenty of money if it's always that busy for him.
Kick-ass episode.
I absolutely love the cross-overs of patients. Just goes to show the abundance of mental illnesses and how we may not always realize them in each other.
this was the best episode yet :D
awesome...very awesome ^_^,it's actually so awesome that i'm going to reconsider my 7 :),it all depends on the next episode, wich seems that will be great from the preview :)
i loved the drama by the way :D
5/5

This is art. This is funny, it is sad, it is happy, it is reflective, it is touching. I nearly howled with laughter when Irabu snatched the foul ball out of mid air, a complete change of pace from the reflective rememberence the flashback scene right before it had conjured. Amazing.
Best episode by far! Old man coming to terms with his advanced age, I Loved it!
But looking back he realised he lived a fullfilling life, so it wasn't sad after all.
The twist at the end, the true meaning behind the words "He didn't turn into an animal": his youthful form was the transformation. Though I could have figured that out earlier because at times he had wrinkles and was using a cane.
I teared up when Amazing Grace was playing, but then Irabu's dorkiness brought a big smile to my face.
Using "mental sense of time". That's a rather strange method for melody for this episode's problem. Then again the entire series is strange. (in a good way)
I was wondering why he was using a cane if he was so young. But I dismissed it as he was just using it for stylish reasons.
And then I kept wondering "Why are his flashbacks so old timey? He's so young and where is his animal head."
Then it hit me when they were asking about a successor and if he was resigning and that he was called "old man" that he was really older than he was presented to us. Another hint was his hands were so old looking. Also, "he didn't turn into an animal" makes a whole lot more sense.
