Yeah, as soon as she said they wouldn't be inheriting the Inn, Ohana really came to my mind as the next possible heir to Kissuiso.

As for the pairings, as someone who is really into romance anime, I can't help but to wonder what they will be. I would rather it be as some said an ending with no pairings. The series is almost finished so for a pairing to come from nowhere is kind of strange. They usually just do a hint of a pairing and let us assume the rest from the obvious.

I honestly still root for Ko and Ohana. From the episode where she was confronted by the bookstore girl, it really seemed like Ohana didn't want to really be with Ko, as she said she likes him as a human. She never said she liked Ko. But then I was confused when she screamed his name when she was running. So I really don't understand what her feelings are for Ko, or if they will ever be clearly resolved. Ko made it sound as if he wouldn't give up on Ohana, that he couldn't help but to always worry about her. Then they always went on with people saying Ohana was dumped. I guess we were left to assume Ko and Ohana possibilities were done with Ko's "Ja na."

As for the whole Minchi, Ohana, Tohru triangle. I really don't see Minko and Tohru together. Minko has known him longer and no feelings really developed there. Ohana came and it's obvious he likes her, that was a given from the episode Ohana was sick. It wouldn't make sense if it played out as, Minko confesses, Tohru at some point welcomes it in a way, and never tells or tries anything with Ohana.

Mah, it should end with no pairings since there is too much.

So the climax will be a marriage and the love triangle, not bad as a last arc. Excellent episode too and great developments.

As a minor character, Ko definitely already got all the "development" he needed.

But come on, he's THE supposed love interest for Ohana. I believe that at least warrants some more development into being a major character - instead of someone just sitting on the sidelines.

I do get what you're saying though and it really is the studio's call in the end. Still, the whole "that's all he needs" argument doesn't always cut it for me.

Either way, he's already such a bland character that's unlikable to me that I don't think I'd actually want more emphasis on him anyway LOL. So it's all good! :D

I feel sorry for Minko, really I do. But sometimes I'm hella irritated with her bitchiness. If you never fought for your love, you don't have the right to be venting your frustrations on the person your crush likes in my opinion.

If that's so, then a lot of things can happen even though it's only 5 episodes left.

@Momo-Hime, what do you mean by how many months, Ohana has left to reply to Ko? When did they set-up a time limit for her to reply to him? I thought she just left w/o explaining much or touching the topic of the confession.

What reason is needed? Ko was her only friend in the beginning of the series, it looked like Ohana was a weird case back than.

Yes, we need a reason from Ohana, what did she thought of Ko back than, when there no other characters around? I'll state that she wasn't mature at the beginning as, compared to now. If you observe carefully, all the events at the Inn, has contribute some way toward Ohana as a learning experience (work, diligent, romance, etc...).

I would like Ko to forget about her and get w/ the bookstore girl (who I don't care, but her role is needed), for Ohana to learn another moral, but I do want them together. Deja vu?

Finally something good is happening to Enishi and I'm really interested to know what the landlady was thinking about at the end, a nice way to close the episode.

Quite the tension in the love department, poor Minchi...

Let's all calm down guys...
@Vansonbee: It seems my post gave you a different idea. I already knew at the back of my head that there's a great possibility that Ko pretty much got over Ohana already. What I said there about Ohana having to deal with this whole situation with Ko is her finally letting go of her friend. Feelings of regret and all. She needs to finally move on because technically... nothing is developing between them in the past months and she knew that she herself is the reason for that.

In dealing with the situation with Tohru and Minchi however, she must choose between finding love or proving that she's a true friend. Now, she got a month's time to think about all this stuff that is if the Bonbori Festival will be the setting for the final episode. Which I think can be a high possibility. But this is still just an assumption.

Sorry if the post earlier bugged you.

Logically, Ko should be over Ohana, but there good possibility that he might wait for her, after all he did for long extenion before. He seem to know her very well (except romances), both Ko/Ohana pair has a relationship of sort at the beginning, she was the weird one and he was the one w/ common sense. Not sure what we can get more out of it, because I believe the real problem is Ohana maturity and the concept of a boyfriend.

In this episode, she was told that Tohru might like her, so I won't commend further on how Ohana might feel currently, but previously she hasn't shown any romantic feelings for Tohru at all.

I had no idea what Bonbori Fesitival is, until you reminded me.

Wasn't angry about anything, just peeve about the idea of Ohana, loving Tohru, when there nothing showing its true.

Minko went back to being an uber bitch again. she doesn't deserve Tohru. I do hope they end with noone. if Ko doesn't come back just go with nothing. it's not like Ohana did anything to her and Minko just bitches at her with no reason. starting to just not like any of em. especially not Enishi and idiot Makako. hope she still leaves her inn to the best character, her daughter. the idiot couple would run the place into the ground.

I'm gonna admit that I don't hate Minko, but I don't necessarily like her. I get that she's mad and all, but just like she hasn't done anything that would make Tohru think she likes him, neither has Tohru, that would make Ohana think he likes her. The only reason Minko noticed is because she watches him constantly. Even if Ohana is dense, Tohru hasn't done anything that would make her thing like that. I myself would like to see Tohru and Ohana, but Kou might just come back out of the nowhere and win her over.

I really can't feel bad for Minko. She really should not have expected for Tohru to stay alone or not fall in love until she was ready to confess her love, it just doesn't work that way. I don't see any justification for her been mad at Ohana, when she hasn't really done anything wrong.

Also Tohru is not at fault either. I have no idea why people would be mad at him for mentioning Ohana. I can understand Minko been jealous, but I honestly think she went overboard. And why the hell would she tell Ohana to go out with Tohru. Not that I'm supporting Minko x Tohru, but if she really likes him she should try harder and stop giving up before she even tries. Telling Ohana only confuses things for her and everyone else. Anyways good episode.

Either way I'm still hoping for Ohana x Tohru.

You're not alone! I find Minko behavior unwanted in this episode, even if she is tsundere, its pushing my love for that type of character.
Of course in the end, these cliche misunderstanding will be patched up

Ko coming back to sweep Ohana off her feet? I would be disappointed and call Ko a tool. What I like to see is the Inn closing down (make senses in conjunction w/ episode 21), Ohana force to live w/ her mother in the city and seeing Ko again. ^_^

Currently, I don't sympathize w/ Minko either, because of her misguided behavior toward Ohana and her classmates (egg dish), but I do understand teenagers act on impulse and emotions.

if ko comes in out of no where and sweeps her off her feet it'd be very annoying

and seriosuly at this point i think its better that no one ends up with anyone

tohru and minko, not only do they not have anything in common but tohru has no interest(plus minko is a bitch)

tohru and ohana like you said ha sno romantic tension

ko and ohana, at this point their no way they can make this not a cop out, he sin 20% of the show so even if she developed feelings it'd seem out of no where, plus him getting over ohana is way more interesting

Both are chefs, so that has to count as something in common, don't you think?

In another perspective, Tohru might have any love interest in either Minko or Ohana, he might view them as older brother role, but if Minko confess to Tohru, it should slowly change his view of her. Relationship that last long, is base on a strong foundation.

I skim through episode 4, but there no confession of any sort, I do recall something similar. Ohana reminiscing about Ko confession, than Tohru walked in and heard it, right?

Even if Tohru thought it was true, he would of made sure if it wasn't a misunderstanding, but ironically, he didn't take her seriously O_O

I'm curious what the Madam Manager said. Who will succeed the inn? Ohana or her mother?

They should've let the annoying character that Minko is out of this show. All she does is whine, whine, whine, whine, being pissed at Ohana and yelling/cursing at Ohana while Ohana does nothing to deserve that. >.> I think Minko is one of the most irritating characters I've ever seen.

Yeah, I do agree she's quite annoying one...

I understand that there should be at least one character with the same type of role, but Minchi is obviously overacted..

Still, instead of feeding the troll, Minko should rather work on her Tohru conquest so her stupidity is to blame there too & LOL @ all the "Tohru is a dumbass fucker blablabla" Suddenly, soooo many feminists... What if she was holding her urination urge and thus is the causality of such blushing? Hurr Durr...

Actually, even if Minko didn't like Tohru I'd still call him dumb for that. She showed him her true self, and yet he told her not to copy Ohana. That's as dumb as you can get.
And if she'll confess to him and he'll reject her, I wouldn't call him dumb - it's his own choice and his own feelings.

I'm really liking the way the girls' relationships with Tohru are playing out. Minko has her heart in the right place, wanting him to be happy with Ohana, but at the same time, she resents Ohana for being liked by Tohru. It's still somewhat a mystery as to how Tohru feels about both of them.

This episode has made me like a good many of the minor characters quite a bit more; notably Takako and Sui. It was interesting to get more insight into Madame Manager's life.

I'm curious what the Madam Manager said. Who will succeed the inn? Ohana or her mother?

remember that while madam manager got drunk by her daughter she said that she dreamed that her daughter will succeed the inn although other things are possible to happen as well since Ohana's mother doesn't want it...
I knew she would not let her son succeed her, he just isn't able to succeed her.
He lacks the personality for it since he is to insecure and isn't able to lead his staff well and he appears to be more inside of a dream world then reality with his mind.
Takako isn't a right choice either she would probably do well in a normal company but running a hotel isn't the thing for her.
I don't see her as a type that would do well with customers.

Both Ohana and her mother are much better choices to succeed the manager.
They both seem pretty good at handling with people and both of them have a strong personality they also have in common that there very stubborn which also is useful in running your own business.
The problem is that Ohana is currently to young and Ohana's mother doesn't want to succeed her mother.

Ahaha~ Minko get dirty thoughts in that van =) This was rather a nice episode, with Madam Manager entrusting Enishi to Takako and Ohana learns Tohru's feelings from Minko. But judging from the pace, I guess Ohana x Tohru will not come true after all..

Ren x Tomoe FTW~

Wow another beautiful episode. I thought that Manshiro-iro Symphony was one of the most beautfiul anime of this season, but this one has some similar charms, and yet in more of an 'artsy way' that I can't quite explain.

*note technically this show and another I was comparing it against technically aired in different seasons, but I've watched them both this fall, so I can't help but naturally compare them.

Minko think's Tohru likes Ohana? What???

She missed his point. He likes her the way she is, she doesn't have to be like Ohana. They are both so lost its not funny. Unless I'm wrong though. Minko, you need to start fighting the battle for Tohru's heart, or you are going to lose. I don't think it will be to Ohana, because I don't think Ohana sees him that way. Wow.

What kind of cliffhanger is that?! Now to wait a month for the continuation...

A lot of Minchi focus lately. That beach scene sure was brutal (can't blame Tohru), but as usual she goes a bit overboard with her emotions. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing how this lovey-dovey stuff wraps up. They better not leave us hangin...

Marriage, okey that's interesting but what's up with that cliffhanger ending? The Ohana and Minko scene was quite sad, it's sad that Minko is angry at Ohana bcs of Tohru... Oh well I hope they'll solve it soon I don't want to seem them fight!

The name of the song is "Hara no Mukou" by Rey (I think..) but the name of the song, I'm pretty sure is right. I think that's what you're looking for, no? D:

Best episode in awhile.
4.5/5
I'm just hoping the drama between Tohru, Ohana and Minko actually gets resolved with Minko confessing her feelings for Tohru.
This anime won't have a kiss scene which sucks, so at least have Tohru decline her.

The most malicious waiting for this moment has finally it arrives, now we'll see if the next episodes will give us an interesting development or going to end up in the most classic finals. I did not expect the proposal of marriage from "Enishing", Takako is always hilarious with his way of parlare.Chissà if you really Tomoe will make his Ren-san! XD Graphically fabulous, epic finale!

I understand that Minko was jealous but I don't think it justifies how she treated Ohana. But that's just me. I don't think I could ever take my anger on someone just because the one I love pays more attention to another person. It's not like Minko and Tohru are in a relationship or anything, so I don't think she had to go that far.... If anything, I would use that energy to make him notice me, rather than rage at the person who did nothing wrong. If she wants his attention, then she should do something about it rather than get mad at Ohana.

Ohana only means well. I know what Tohru said was out of line, but still. Minko wasn't doing much with her love with him, so how is he supposed to know anything? Regardless, Minko is lucky that Ohana is a really good friend. She keeps reaching out to Minko regardless of how she treats her.

but then again, love can be complicated. meh. I don't particularly like Minko but I don't hate her either. there's no denial that I like her a lot less than I used to though.

Minko, newsflash. Guys are not particularly good at reading signals, if you like Tohru, you have to tell him and stop blaming Ohana who is as clueless as he is.

The head waitress has her eye on Ren-san and his classic collection of leather jackets. Go for it!

I wonder if the Okami-san wants to give the inn to Ohana and her mum?

Ring part was quite touching.

I have a feeling Okami wants to pass the inn down to her granddaughter.

Tohru really screwed up back there when he said that Ohana has made the inn much more livelier. Ohana can't be blamed because that's her personality. Minko on the other hand doesn't have the courage to even accept her feelings towards Tohru. Speaking of Minko, she sure has a dirty mind. I mean as Tohru is driving down the road he says if they could stop somewhere. When she looks up she sees a hotel in front and she immediately thinks that Tohru wanted to take her there especially when he said "I want lots of kids". Minko's expression was priceless.

As for Madam Manager, it was nice to see some back story on her marriage and how the inn got the name.
